I face life honestly, and I am free.
At times we may feel afraid to be our authentic selves, to expose our real thoughts and feelings for fear of rejection. We may even approach prayer with this same fear. But if we hide our real thoughts, beliefs, and longings, we separate ourselves from God and from others. We needn’t fear being who we truly are. The self that we try to hide and keep in the background is a worthy and wonderful expression of God. When we approach prayer with trust and honesty, we find release and peace. Light shines into the dark corners of our mind and heart. Our honest prayer for guidance never goes unanswered. Our honest prayer for understanding is heard. Our honest prayer for Truth sets us free.
