I am secure and comforted by the Spirit.
A harsh rebuke or an unexpected challenge may prompt me to feel upset or confused. Although I may attempt to understand the situation by ruminating on it, some experiences are best understood not in the head, but in the heart. I step aside and take a moment to myself, breathing deeply and reconnecting with Spirit. I remember I am a beloved expression of God, guided by divine wisdom. As I focus on the presence of Spirit within me, I am comforted. No words or circumstances can separate me from God. I realize that circumstances come and go, but God is always here—with me, in me, and as me. As I let go of hurt or confusion, I am secure and comforted in the spirit of God.
As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you.—Isaiah 66:13
