I belong to the community of humanity.
I am a member of many communities—my neighborhood, work, church, family, and friends as well as the community of humanity. Each relationship reminds me of the value of being connected with others. The life of a community is richer and healthier as each person practices thoughtfulness, kindness, and understanding. These practices foster happiness and peace. I am spiritually one with all people. As I acknowledge the divine in every member of my community, I also recognize the Christ Spirit in me. Aware of the Christ within, I act in ways that contribute to the good of all. I work together with others to accomplish goals great and small.
Peace be to the whole community, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.—Ephesians 6:23
