I am grateful for this season of my life.
Each season has its own distinct character and purpose—dormancy in winter, budding in spring, growth in summer, release in autumn. Each season is dependent on the others occurring in their natural order. Our lives, too, have seasons. We move through infancy, childhood, adulthood, and maturity experiencing constant change. Each season brings its unique joys and challenges, and each builds on the one before it. In Ecclesiastes we read, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” I am grateful for this season of my life, for the changes and growth it brings, for the rest and activity. With each season, I grow into the fullness of my humanity.
They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season … In all that they do, they prosper.—Psalm 1:3
