Let Go Let God Bless All God's Creatures

God bless all creatures large and small.

I pray every day for my friends and family, but today I include an important and diverse group of God’s creatures. Animals are a special blessing whether as beloved companions or majestic wild creatures. I give thanks for the divine wisdom that created them and for the wonder of their diversity. I’m grateful for my pets. They greet me each day with unconditional love and bless me with their joy. As extended members of my family, they bring love into my life, and I give thanks for the opportunity to be their steward on earth. Large or small, domestic or wild, I bless all God’s creatures in my prayers.
God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind. And God saw that it was good.—Genesis 1:25

Let Go Let God Answer the Call

I answer the call as I open my heart to the wisdom of God.

What does it mean to answer the call? To a minister, it may mean having a deep commitment to serving God; to a doctor or nurse, helping others heal and feel whole; a teacher, encouraging students along the path of academic growth. What is my calling? What am I passionate about? The poet W.E. Henley once wrote, “I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.” These words strengthen my resolve to find the path that is mine to follow. I open my mind and heart to God, knowing that all will be revealed to me at the right time and in the right way. Opportunities await. The key to answering the call is to be open to new experiences and divine wisdom.
I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.—Philippians 3:14

Let Go Let God Provide Comfort

I am comforted by the awareness of God.

It is normal in times of fear or challenge to reach out for comfort. Children may have a favorite blanket or bear to hug. Physical pacifiers such as these bring feelings of peace in the midst of distress. There are times in my adult life where I, too, may feel frightened. Major life transitions, losses, or even new beginnings may cause upset. In these moments, I seek comfort in God. I may repeat an affirmation such as: God is my ever-present source of guidance and protection. I turn to a familiar prayer or a reassuring verse from the Bible. With these words, I am calmed and soothed. I do not need a situation to be resolved to find peace. I need only remember that God is ever-present.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me.—Psalm 23:4

Let Go Let God Forgive

In forgiveness, I find freedom.

In my natural state, love flows readily to and from me. However, when I hold resentment, bitterness, or hatred toward anyone, including myself, I create an emotional block around my own heart. Each time I repeat a shaming or blaming story, I add yet another brick to that wall. Over time, I can come to feel disempowered and imprisoned within a fortress of my own negativity. In forgiveness, I find the key to returning to my natural state of expansiveness and freedom. When I forgive, I feel an indescribable grace. The wall around my heart disappears and the Christ Light that I truly am radiates throughout my being. Through forgiveness, I fully claim my natural states of love, gratitude, peace, and joy.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.—Ephesians 4:32

Let Go Let God have Faith

I have faith in the power of God working in my life.

The more time I spend with God in prayer and meditation, the stronger our relationship develops. This strengthening provides a base upon which I build my life, just as a house is built upon a firm foundation. Even if the winds of fear blow and storms roll in, I have faith that my house is safe because the rock beneath me is unfaltering. However, during difficult times, I may struggle to trust that God is working toward good in my life or in the world. If I feel defeated because of a challenging situation, I turn my attention to Spirit. I focus on the calming rhythm of my breath and my body relaxes. I do not seek a solution; I simply rest in the presence of Spirit. My faith supports me. I feel my trust in God, and I have peace of mind.
There is no Holy One like the Lord, no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.—1 Samuel 2:2

Let Go Let God in Giving & Receiving

I am abundantly blessed when I give and receive.

The spiritual law of giving and receiving brings forth abundant blessings. In my sacred prayer time, Spirit reveals to me the ways that I can give and be of service. This law is very simple. If I desire to experience more love in my life, I give love. If peace is what I seek, I offer peace. Spiritual teacher Florence Scovel Shinn shared that giving opens the way for receiving. I remember these words of truth and know that giving and receiving are like different sides of the same coin. Spirit opens my mind and heart to both give and receive. With gratitude I receive abundant blessings. There is a dynamic exchange that occurs when I allow others to share with me. I am abundantly blessed when I participate in the flow of energy in the Universe.

Give, and it will be given to you.—Luke 6:38

Let Go Let God be Energetic

I am alive, vibrant, and energetic!

While I want to feel energized and enthusiastic, sometimes I may feel listless. When I do not feel motivated or uplifted, I pause to rethink my situation. I make an internal change. What is mine to do today? My energy shifts completely when I allow myself to be of service or when I have a sense of being part of something greater. I have all the energy I need. I am alive, vibrant, and energetic. I vow to make an outer change—to get a good night’s sleep and enjoy a nourishing breakfast. I plan time in prayer or meditation and exercise for my body. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, I am revitalized. I am alive, vibrant, and energetic!

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.—Philippians 4:13

Let Go Let God with Grace

I open my heart and mind to Spirit’s limitless grace.

Divine grace is present here and now. I must first be willing to open my mind and heart in the Silence to receive the full bounty of Spirit’s limitless blessings. If I have been harboring negative judgments, I release them now. If I have been entertaining thoughts of lack and limitation, I dismiss them now. If I have been indulging feelings of self-doubt or pity, I set those gently aside. Divine grace is not earned nor is it a power outside of me. Rather, grace is the natural expression of the Holy Spirit that dwells in me. As I discard anything in my consciousness that does not align with Truth, grace readily blesses my mind, my heart, and my body; it brings all manner of good to every facet of my life. I open my heart and mind to Spirit’s limitless grace.
Grace be with all of you.—Hebrews 13:25

Let Go Let God Provide Healing

My body is a temple of divine life and light.

I am created in God’s image—mind, body, and spirit. My mind is a reflection of God’s light, and my body is a temple of divine life. I am whole, well, and free. My soul resonates with the divine life that flows through every cell and atom of my body, and my spirit rejoices in a feeling of total well-being. I know that outer appearances of dis-ease are only that—appearances. In truth, I am a child of divine life and light, and my body is a true reflection of the perfection of God. Day by day, moment by moment, I become a clearer reflection of the spirit of God within. My body is a temple of divine life and light, and I am grateful to God for the miracle of healing that flows through me now.
Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.—3 John 1:2

Let Go Let God on this Spiritual Journey

I learn and grow on my spiritual journey.

A backpacker must choose to pack only the necessities. I also travel light by releasing mental baggage and beliefs that no longer serve me. I release agendas and trust my inner wisdom. I am open and receptive, trusting that God is ever leading me to the highest expression of my spiritual nature. My spiritual journey provides me with the opportunities I need to learn and grow. Some steps along my journey will be filled with opulence while others may feel like walking through a barren desert. The longer I travel, the more connected I feel to God and to everyone I meet along my path. My destination is an inner kingdom of peace, love, and compassion.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.—John 14:3-4

Let Go Let God Pray for Others

My affirmative prayers unfailingly bless others.

When I pray for family and friends, I do not plead with God for positive outcomes. Instead, I become relaxed and still. I center my consciousness in the Truth of God’s infinite goodness, love, and wisdom. I affirm in my heart or aloud that the transformative and healing power of Spirit is ever-present, despite appearances to the contrary. Resting in the awareness of God, I am filled with peace. The Universe is unfolding as it should be for the highest good of all. One with Divine Mind, I trust that God’s almighty power is at work in every situation that I bring to mind. Through my faith-filled affirmative prayers, I manifest greater peace, healing, and well-being for others in the world.
So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.—Mark 11:24

Let Go Let God Bless Fathers

Divine love works through all to bless and inspire.

Most of us aspire to live in a peaceful, loving world and to leave the world a better place for generations to come. Fathers, and those who spend time around children, have an influential role in making this happen. I give thanks for the many paternal figures in my life—those who have helped guide me with encouraging words and actions. Whether these people are still in my life or have since moved on, I honor the role they played by mirroring it. I do so by mentoring and guiding those around me in kind, loving, and nurturing ways. I bless all fathers and all those in similar roles—for strength of mind and peace of heart. May they always know and reflect the love of God in all that they think, say, and do.
You are the salt of the earth ... You are the light of the world.—Matthew 5:13, 14

Let Go Let God with the Gift of Life

My life is a treasured gift.

The best way to show appreciation for God’s gift of life is to live it in service to others. Today gives me a chance to offer my love and gratitude to anyone who needs it, to pray a prayer for someone else, to reach out the hands of my heart in support. I can direct it wherever I choose. Today I will remember that my life is a valuable gift. As this day progresses, each moment provides me another opportunity to decide what I will do with it. How will I express God in ways that bless others? Even a casual kind word, compliment, or smile can make a difference in someone’s day. My life is a treasured gift from God, so I use it to be an agent for love, kindness, and compassion in the lives of others.
He asked you for life; you gave it to him.—Psalm 21:4

Let Go Let God with Joy

I infuse laughter, dance, and song into my day.

It’s easy to get caught up in the seriousness of life, so I make a point of doing things that bring joy. I become a natural conduit of happiness for others when I remember that joy is my natural state of being. Life is intended to be joyful. It’s easy for me to focus on everyday tasks or the seriousness of worldly news, yet I am not here on this earth to be somber. I am a messenger of joy, and the joy of Spirit is moving through me. I feel free and light as I express joy without censor. Today I free myself to do things that bring me joy. As I express myself in these ways, I also become a conduit of joy for those around me. My joy is contagious! I give thanks to God for joy—this natural state of being. I commit to living in joy every day.
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.—Psalm 32:11

Let Go Let God through Prosperity

Attuned to prospering ideas, I draw my good to me.

How can I draw more good to me? I can by focusing my thoughts on God and listening as my Creator speaks to me of abundance. I am being shown the way, and the way begins with right thinking. My thoughts are powerful agents for bringing more good into my life. In prayer, I become more and more attuned to the goodness of God and to the prospering ideas that I receive. God knows the dreams of my heart and gives me the thoughts and ideas that show me the right steps to take to bring those dreams to fruition. I draw my good to me. Like attracts like, and thoughts of abundance bring abundance into every area of my life. I am truly grateful for all my blessings—both seen and unseen.
You bestow on him blessings forever; you make him glad with the joy of your presence.—Psalm 21:6

Let Go Let God be Protected

I am safe in the protecting presence of divine love.

How comforting it is to know that I am always in the protecting presence of divine love. Every step I take is firmly placed in this faith. Secure in God, I explore new avenues and take on new adventures. I follow the guidance of God, rooted in faith on each new venture. I begin my day in quiet prayer, giving thanks for the presence of God that is always with me. God is the light on my path. If I should come upon a situation that frightens or disturbs me, I trust the wisdom of God within to guide me. I keep my loved ones enfolded in my thoughts for peace and protection. Thank You, God, for Your presence of love in our lives. All is well in our world.
Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock.—Matthew 7:24

Let Go Let God Respect

I respect all beings as unique expressions of God.

A tree has branches in all shapes and sizes. Each branch, while different, is an expression of the tree, just as all life is an expression of God. All life is God, expressing and manifesting in the physical world. I feel a deep sense of admiration and high regard for the unique expressions of life all around me. I show respect to my fellow human beings, animals, and the environment by treating them with love—just as I desire to be treated. I, too, am a manifestation of the Divine and understand the importance of treating myself with love and care. I show respect for my life and all others, for we are all unique expressions of God.
Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.—1 Corinthians 8:6

Let Go Let God in Communication

I am the voice of love, compassion, and respect.

The great leader Nelson Mandela has been credited with saying, “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.” I want to be the person who talks to others in the way that is most meaningful to them. I want to touch the hearts of others with my words and actions. To prepare my mind and heart for effective communication, I turn to God in prayer. I am guided in my interactions with others and express myself with ease and confidence, ever mindful of their feelings. I am an effective communicator—a voice of love, compassion, and respect.
Accept my words … making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding.—Proverbs 2:1, 2

Let Go Let God in Divine Order

Love leads the way to divine order.

In war-torn biblical times, Naomi and her daughters-in-law Ruth and Orpah lost their husbands. Ruth, in a courageous act of devotion to Naomi, pledged her commitment to stay with Naomi, return to her homeland, and adopt her people and God. Like Ruth, I follow my heart and do the next right thing. Despite any outer experiences to the contrary, divine order prevails in my life. I devote myself to what serves the greater good. The order is reestablished, even out of chaos, when I follow my heart. In Hebrew, Ruth’s name means love and love is always at the helm of order. I follow my heart in all circumstances and let love lead the way.

Do not press me to leave you or to turn back from following you! Where you go, I will go; where you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.—Ruth 1:16

Let Go, Let God

I release fear and allow God’s blessings to flow into me.

When I want to declutter, I sort through my clothing and other belongings and get rid of any items that I no longer like or use. Letting go of things may be difficult. But I challenge myself to create space. I also take regular inventory of my thoughts, actions, and commitments. They serve specific purposes in my life, so if they are not working for my highest good, I let them go. I spend time in meditation to strengthen my power of discernment and know what is mine to release. I make room for new insights and experiences that usher God’s good into my life. I release what holds me back, and I open myself to future blessings.
Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?—Isaiah 43:18-19

Let Go Let God find Inner Peace

I find peace in the stillness of my soul.

In my quest to live a fulfilling life, I may have sought contentment from a variety of sources. People, places, or things may bring temporary satisfaction, but my heart yearns for something greater. Persian poet Rumi wrote, “Drink from the presence of saints, not from these other jars.” In my spiritual path, I learn to drink from the presence of God and train my mind to stay focused on a Spirit-led path. Throughout the day I pause to empty my mind of stress and to invite Spirit to fill my heart. As I deepen this practice, I find the lasting satisfaction of inner peace in the stillness of my soul.
Those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.—John 4:14

Let Go Let God be Free

I am free to be the expression of God I was created to be.

When I let God within come through in my day-to-day life, I become the very best me I can be. With my whole heart, I give thanks for my freedom as a child of God. I am created from a divine blueprint by the Great Designer who makes no mistakes. If I find myself criticized by others for expressing myself creatively, I remind myself that I am free and unlimited. In moments of discontent, I turn to Spirit within for the reassurance of my true nature. Here in my quiet place, I touch base with my Creator. I center myself, and I listen. I receive the encouragement to express myself, to let God be God in me.

The creation itself will be set free … and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.—Romans 8:21

Let Go Let God as Guidance

I listen to inner wisdom and make wise choices.

Early explorers used navigational instruments and stars to guide their way in uncharted waters. When I need inner wisdom and guidance, I use the spiritual tool of prayer. In prayer, I am guided by the all-knowing presence of God. This guidance comes to me as helpful thoughts, ideas, and insights that enable me to make good choices. I receive confirmation of God’s direction when I feel a sense of peace about my decisions. Things seemingly fall into place, and I move forward without strain or struggle. There’s a plan at work—God’s plan for me. As I use prayer, then trust God’s plan for myself and my loved ones, I am peaceful and calm. This is my confirmation that all is well in my life.
I pray that you ... know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.—Ephesians 3:18, 19

Let Go Let God with the Mind of Christ

I have the mind of Christ.

Jesus lived the spiritual Truth as he knew it. I, too, have the mind of Christ. If I misplace something or can’t remember someone’s name, I relax and remind myself of this eternal truth: No thing or person is ever lost. Relying on the spirit of Christ within turns my focus away from worry and guides my mind to productive thoughts. Wisdom and understanding come from the infinite source of all wisdom. I know what I need to know when I need to know it. If someone I love is getting forgetful, I include that person in my prayers. I know and affirm that they, too, have inherited the mind of Christ. I envision them whole and well and expressing divine wisdom as they are able. I trust in God and am grateful for the gift of the Christ Mind.

I now do according to your word.—1 Kings 3:12

Let Go Let God Lead by Example

I inspire others by living the Truth that I know.

The author Paulo Coelho observed, “The world is changed by your example, not your opinion.” While I might have a lot of great ideas about how to better myself and the world, these ideas mean little if I do not live from the Truth that I know. Believing in the oneness of all life, I actively stand up for the rights of all people to be treated with love, respect, and dignity. With faith in Spirit as the constant source of my abundance, I regularly tithe my time, talent, and treasure in service to others. Grasping in my heart the divine idea of unconditional love, I regularly practice compassion and forgiveness and actively promote a peaceful community and the world. When I live my faith, I inspire others to do the same.
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not have works?—James 2:14

Let Go Let God in World Peace

I envision all people as citizens of peace.

We all have the potential to be peacemakers—to live as the child of God we are created to be. Living up to our potential is part of our life’s work with daily opportunities. I envision all people as citizens of peace, and I dedicate myself to being a peacemaker. When I experience strife or anger, I determine the cause and take positive steps to promote healing and resolution. I contribute to world peace by living peacefully and beholding all people as capable of promoting peace.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.–Matthew 5:9

Let Go Let God through the Open Door

The door to my good is opening now. I look forward to greater blessings.

A television game show invites contestants to choose door number one, two, or three to receive a prize. The choices I make in life will not be that simple. There is no magic door to a reward. I do know that I can choose to live as God intended me to—happy, healthy, prosperous, and free. This is my true prize. To choose well, I surrender myself to God. I release personal biases or preconceived ideas and become an open vessel of divine wisdom and insight. I do not worry about the timing or the context of the answers I receive—I trust the outcome. I know that with God, the right door will be revealed at the right time and I will walk through it with faith and confidence.
I know your works. Look, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut.—Revelation 3:8

Let Go Let God Plant Seeds of Kindness

I cultivate kindness through my thoughts and deeds.

In her poem “Heart’s Garden,” Katherine Merrill wrote: “My heart is a garden where thought flowers grow. The thoughts that I think are the seeds that I sow.” Her words invite me to consider my inner garden, the thoughts I hold and the seeds I plant. I choose to sow seeds of kindness, thinking positive thoughts about myself and about others. I look for ways to encourage people, to genuinely compliment them, and show my appreciation. A smile, a helping hand, an act of generosity toward a stranger sows kindness and perhaps provides a welcomed bright spot in someone’s day. Today I will live from my heart, sowing seeds of kindness, beauty, and goodwill.
Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another.—Zechariah 7:9

Let Go Let God Thank You God

I give thanks for my divine qualities and gifts.

Thank You, God, for this amazing life and everything in it! Thank You, God, for Your omnipresence, that I may experience Your glorious nature both within and all around me. Thank You, God, for Your omnipotence, that I may feel Your boundless strength and perseverance in every moment and situation of my life. Thank You, God, for Your omniscience, that I may abide in wisdom and understanding as to all matters, at all times. Centered in You, I recognize that divine will and my will are one in Truth. Divine love is a perpetual wellspring of comfort, nourishment, and joy within my being. Eternal life is the very source of my radiant health, vibrancy, and well-being. I faithfully demonstrate my divine nature today and every day.
All mine are yours, and yours are mine; and I have been glorified in them.—John 17:10

Let Go Let God with Strength of Spirit

With God, I am strong, confident, and capable.

I am stronger than I may think and more powerful than I may know. This is the truth I affirm as I remind myself that I am a child of God and capable of doing wondrous things. I become more aware of my strength through my relationship with God. This relationship is an important part of my life. It affects my view of myself and the world in a positive way. It affects my attitude and my expectations. It opens doors to me that I may not have dreamed possible. I see myself as I truly am—a spiritual being filled with unlimited potential. I know that within me is an unlimited wellspring of energy and wisdom and a continuous resource of ideas and inspiration. I am strong in spirit.
You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand has supported me; your help has made me great.—Psalm 18:35
