Let Go Let God in Prayer

I pray with faith in answered prayer.
When I pray, I am consciously connecting with God. While I may pray for many reasons, I remember to always pray from a place of faith. I pray, affirming: This, or something better, and I let it go. Holding on to a concern only dampens my prayer energy. I pray in faith that all is working out for the best and highest good for all involved. Mind and heart unite while I envision the answered prayer I seek. As I listen in faith, I discern the voice or activity of God. This comes to me in a variety of ways—perhaps a feeling, a dream, or a divine idea at the right and perfect time. I listen for and follow my inner guidance to do my part to bring my prayer to fruition. I move forward with clarity and assurance.

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.—John 16:13

Let Go Let God Welcome Change

I welcome the opportunities that changes bring.
Vacations are typically filled with action—playing, visiting, exploring. Sometimes a change of scenery is just what I need to recharge my energy. However, not every change is welcomed or expected. Changes happen to me and around me. Rather than meeting them with resistance or discontent, I consider them with the joyful expectation of a child. Am I challenged by a change in my physical health? Perhaps this is an opportunity to focus on myself. Likewise, I can consider changes in work as opportunities for greater potential. I welcome change with joy-filled expectation and enthusiasm.
He called a child, whom he put among them, and said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”—Matthew 18:2-3

Let Go Let God Trust

My trust is strengthened by my joyful heart.
Martin Luther once compared the exercising of faith to placing a joyful wager on God’s unexpressed goodness. Every time I center myself in a positive spirit, I am truly praying. When I lift up my heart in joy, I move in the direction of better outcomes in my life. Trust and joy are linked within me, resulting in answered prayer. What can I do right now, in the midst of whatever is facing me, to raise my spirits? I engage my cheerful nature with a sense of optimism about a positive result. I begin by trusting that all things are working together for my good—in my life and in the lives of all those I care about. My joyful heart is giving me the energy that empowers this answered prayer.
In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I am not afraid.—Psalm 56:4

Let Go Let God Provide Grace

We are beloved children of the Most High, gifted with unlimited grace.
The word grace means “favor.” With our divine inheritance, we are favored because we are the life and activity of God in expression. We have all we need to achieve our highest calling. We are all beloved children of the Most High, gifted with unlimited grace. When we accept this truth, we live our greatest life, serving as God’s hands and feet in this world. It is that simple, it is that profound.

Yes, everything is for your sake, so that grace, as it extends to more and more people, may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.—2 Corinthians 4:15

Let Go Let God as Inner Peace

I practice peace in this tranquil moment.
No matter where I am, or what situation I find myself in, peace is always available to me. Peace is a sensation free of conflict or turmoil. It is a knowing of calm, serenity, and tranquility. I acknowledge that in my life there are situations that may leave me feeling unsettled. In times of change or challenge my unchecked thoughts can turn to worry or fear. My actions may become rushed and reflexive. Noticing this frenzied state, I make a conscious effort to calm my thoughts and practice peace in this moment. Taking a few deep breaths, I hit the pause button. I whisper to myself: Peace, be still. I affirm that God is present right where I am, guiding me to the right and perfect outcome.

He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm.—Mark 4:39

Let Go Let God Provide Healing

The energizing life of God flows through me.
When I feel healthy I may take my health for granted. However, when I experience discomfort, my mind can become preoccupied with physical aches and worries. Knowing the power of the mind creates reality, I train my thoughts to reclaim my wholeness now. I release thoughts of pain or sickness and affirm: I am made in the image and likeness of God. I am healthy and vibrant; whole and well. I am a channel for the infinite expression of divine life. The energizing life of God flows through me now, revitalizing, restoring, and renewing. My mind rests on the truth of health and my body follows its lead.

Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall spring up quickly; your vindicator shall go before you, the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.—Isaiah 58:8

Let Go Let God with Childlike Wonder

All things are possible, for I am a child of God.
What is it like to view the world with childlike wonder? It is to put aside my grown-up skepticism, doubt, or fear, and instead live in unconditional love and trust. It is to live in the moment, to experience life with enthusiasm, anticipating only good. It is to be fascinated by everything, to question and to listen for answers with unwavering faith. With childlike wonder, I am awed by the beauty of the stars. I watch with fascination as an ant carries its prized crumb off to its anthill. I listen with joy to the song of a lark. I tap into an inexhaustible source of energy and ideas. All things are possible, for I am a child of God.

Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father ... because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants …”—Luke 10:21

Let Go Let God through Relationships

I behold the Christ essence in myself and in others.
These words written by Richard and Mary-Alice Jafolla remind me there is a divine connection joining me with every person: “There is a level in every human soul which knows no conflict, competition, or contempt, a level which knows only peace, harmony, and love. In fact, it is peace and harmony and love, because it is the Christ essence of us.” When it is hard for me to see our connection, I can improve the situation by lifting my awareness. I redirect negative reactions by remembering the Christ in me, and then I can begin to recognize it in others. In my mind and heart I connect our higher selves. Beyond the outer fa├žade of hurt feelings, fears, and apprehension is our Christ identity. Seeing it in others helps them see it in themselves.

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.—John 1:16

Let Go Let God be Home

Centered in Spirit, I bring a sense of home to wherever I go.
The poet Maya Angelou wrote that “the ache for home lives in all of us. The safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned.” I cherish the people to whom I have consistently been able to turn to for a sense of security and unconditional love. I also appreciate those special places where I feel a greater sense of unity with all life. With profound gratitude, I acknowledge how my spiritual growth has significantly impacted my sense of belonging. The more I abide in God’s love, the more often strangers and foreign places begin to feel like family to me. No matter where I am or whom I am with, I carry with me a sense of unconditional acceptance as a refuge not only for myself but for all whom I encounter.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.—1 John 4:16

Let Go Let God with Joy

I breathe joy into my life.
Any ordinary day has the potential to be one of extraordinary joy and contentment when I breathe faith into every moment. To do so, I begin my day with prayer and meditation. As I quietly turn within, I focus on my breath. I inhale, slowly and evenly, with my thoughts on divine life within. My mind and body relax into the blessed serenity of oneness with my spiritual center. There, in the tranquil presence of the Divine, I experience the calm peace of my soul. I savor this time, grateful for the blessings I will receive during the day ahead. During every moment, I feel contentment in my heart when I breathe joy into my life.
I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.—John 15:11

Let Go Let God be Safe & Secure

I take refuge in God’s protecting presence.
A mother lovingly shelters her child. A first responder courageously assists the community. A teacher nurtures a student. A nurse cares for a patient. These are examples of ways individuals provide help for the basic needs of others. This is the everyday reality of how people work together to provide the elements of safety and security for all. There is also a spiritual reality of security I experience when I trust God. With God, I am protected. With God, I am at peace. With God, I am assured that my needs are met. I take refuge in my moments with God and feel the security of divine love. This allows me to go about my day, trusting the protecting presence of God to go before me, ensuring my safety, and helping me make wise choices.
Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.—Psalm 16:1

Let Go Let God Provide Guidance

Guided by divine wisdom, I live fully and freely.
Just as a map or GPS guides me to a physical destination, I have an internal guidance system that directs me to my right and perfect path. Divine wisdom guides me to the unfolding of my soul’s purpose. I pay attention to my inner wisdom through prayer and meditation. Spending time in silence and centering my mind on God allows me to clearly see the next steps I should take. As I move along my life’s journey, I use my feelings as signposts to help me gauge whether I am on course. If I feel joy, courage, peace of mind, or contentment, then I trust that I am on the right path. As I follow the guidance from divine wisdom, I fully express my highest and best self.

If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.—James 1:5

Let Go, Let God

I let go and let God be God in my life.
Gardens thrive when weeds are removed, allowing flowers or vegetables room to grow. The same is true for myself—when I remove the “weeds” of negativity and worry, I clear the way for greater blessings. I let go. Am I holding on to things or thoughts that no longer fit into how I want to live? I let go of old habits or negative ways of thinking and let God fill my mind with the wonder and vision of all that is before me. I let God. Letting go of the past opens the way for new joy to fill my thoughts. By releasing what is no longer important, I make space for new joy and greater blessings. I let go and let God be God in my life, today and always.

But as for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit.—Matthew 13:23

Let Go Let God in Divine Awareness

I recognize God’s presence as peace, love, and guidance.
I experience moments of blissful peace when I remain conscious of and tuned in to Spirit. When I first awaken, I pause to give thanks for this new day and the opportunities it holds. Throughout the hours ahead, I take time to reconnect with Spirit within to once again experience the peace that comes from understanding. If I am struggling with a difficult situation or decision, I let go. I just stop for a time. Doing so, I shift from striving to believing, knowing that answers will come. I give thanks in advance. I wait. I listen. I receive. Eventually, I become so accustomed to living my life as a prayer that I remain in a perpetual state of gratitude and awareness of the Divine.

Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”—John 20:29

Let Go Let God in the Garden

In the garden of prayer, I experience peace and contentment.
Jesus knew the value of spending time with nature and in quiet communion with God. Perhaps he felt a calling to be one with nature while praying; to experience that place of peace and beauty. I, too, can experience that peace. I can stop for a moment and picture a beautiful garden, filled with vibrant colors and glorious scents. I breathe deeply, taking in those scents and filling my lungs with clean air. I breathe out, releasing negative thoughts and feel my body releasing stress. My muscles are relaxed and my mind is at peace. I give thanks for this sacred opportunity. Here in the garden, I am one with God, united with the source of all life and healing.
The Lord will guide you continually ... and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail.—Isaiah 58:11

Let Go Let God Provide Comfort

The Holy Spirit comforts me and gives me rest.
Slipping into a favorite garment, sipping a perfectly chilled beverage on a hot day, visiting with a love one: these are the moments that bring comfort for my physical and emotional well-being. If I am stressed, discouraged, or lonely, I may seek comfort in the company of others. But true, lasting serenity comes from knowing that I am one with God—filled with the living, loving spirit of divine love. At any time, I can look within and connect with Spirit. It is here I find peace, rest, and comfort. Like a favorite garment or the nearness of a friend, Spirit comforts me. I find strength and encouragement as I allow myself to rest in God’s presence.

O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.—Psalm 63:1

Let Go Let God with Healthy Living

I express gratitude for all life through healthy living.
Spirit is the energy and breath of life that moves in and through me and all living beings. When I wake in the morning and before I go to sleep at night, I connect with a feeling of appreciation for all that I am. I have regard for myself and all life as I express gratitude for my many blessings. I move through my day honoring the life God has given me. I take care of my physical, mental, and spiritual health, and extend my care and concern to the environment, animals, and all others who cross my path. When I am consciously making healthy choices, I am expressing my full potential. I take better care of myself and live a healthy lifestyle in gratitude for the dynamic life with which I have been blessed.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you?—1 Corinthians 6:19

Let Go Let God in Success

I am a successful, capable child of God.
My accomplishments may not equate to someone else’s idea of success. However, the steps we take toward achieving our goals may be similar. My success begins with faith—in God and in myself. I have faith that I am being divinely guided toward the right path to reach my goals and fulfill my dreams and ambitions. With every experience, I gain new insight in what it means to be successful in life. Success is also measured by joy and self-satisfaction. I find myself while doing what I love. I give thanks for this insight and for the blessings of God that come my way. Each achievement is part of God’s plan for my life, and there are many more to come. Success is mine!
And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight.—Philippians 1:9

Let Go Let God Forgive

I see with the eyes of love. I am understanding, compassionate, and forgiving.
One of the best things I can do for my health and well-being is to forgive. Holding on to negative thoughts or feelings only hurts me, not the person who offended me. Forgiveness opens the way for good to flow in and through me. It stimulates physical, mental, and emotional healing. In the stillness of prayer, I declare the deep desire of my heart to forgive and be forgiven. I open to divine love, knowing that love rises above any perceived hurt. When I see others through eyes of love, I am filled with compassion and understanding. I send out thoughts of love and forgiveness. I let go of hurt and let divine love guide everything I do and say. I see with the eyes of love because I am an expression of God.
Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.—Luke 6:37

Let Go Let God Practice Nonresistance

With a loving heart, I practice nonresistance.
I may not always agree with another person’s opinion. During those times, I focus on the idea of nonresistance—an acceptance of what is minus labels or condemnation. Applying my spiritual gift of discernment, I acknowledge my opinion is just one viewpoint. I pray not to change a situation I don’t like or the perspective of another human being. Rather, I pray to be aware of my thoughts, to remember the spiritual truth of my being. I am one with the ever-present divine flow. External events and situations have no effect on the calm peace of my soul. With a loving heart, I accept what is. Through the practice of nonresistance, I learn to receive gifts in every experience. I move through life with patience, love, and nonresistance.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go also the second mile.—Matthew 5:41

Let Go Let God be Attentive

I am aware of love, beauty, and peace all around me.
The things I focus on become the center of my attention. I choose to keep love, beauty, and peace as my focal points, allowing these qualities to infuse my daily activities. With fresh eyes, I see the colors of the sunrise, the clouds moving across the sky, and the sparkle of dew on the leaves. I recognize how my encouragement and praise of others creates an environment of love and peace. Spirit has given me a heart of love to share generously. Love flows to me in an unexpected call, a simple hug, or an offer of help. Amazing synchronicities unfold in my life as I stay attentive to all the love, beauty, and peace already in my life and in the world.
Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable ... if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.—Philippians 4:8

Let Go Let God in Faith

I have faith in the love of God to bless all and be all in my life.
I begin each day with this simple thought: God loves me. These words hold enormous power and meaning. The idea expands its energy in my thoughts as I revel in the loving relationship I have with my divine Creator. This love doesn’t have to be earned or won; it is mine as the creation of this perfect love. God loves me and will always be the source for all I need. I am protected and guided through every challenging situation. Divine life heals and renews me in body, mind, and soul. No wound or illness in my body is beyond the healing power of God’s love. No darkness is greater than the pure light of love. I have faith in the love of God to bless all and be all in my life. I have faith in God’s perfect plan for me.

Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.—Luke 12:32

Let Go Let God Provide Prosperity

God’s infinite goodness surrounds me. I am abundantly blessed.
Looking around at the abundant nature on earth, I am reminded of how God provides for my needs. The sun’s rays help plants grow and those plants provide oxygen for breathing. When it rains I am reminded of how God supports all life by blessing the fertile land. God also sustains me through divine wisdom that guides me on my path. I am blessed with creativity that finds expression in my work and hobbies. I am also blessed by my family, friends, and community. The Universe responds to my growing awareness of God’s good. I welcome abundance in my life and in turn, I share with others. God’s infinite goodness surrounds me and I am abundantly blessed.
I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.—Revelation 3:20

Let Go Let God Rest

In times of prayer, I find rest and renewal.
Singers take advantage of rests written into the music to catch their breath. Travelers use rest areas along their journey to take a break. Finding time for rest and renewal is important. My life may seem too busy for rest, but now is the time when I need it most. I listen to my body and pay attention to the familiar signs of stress or fatigue. Aware of the need for relaxation and renewal, I take time to pray. A simple Thank You, God reminds me of the source of my strength and peace. In these sacred moments of prayer, I am restored. My body and soul respond to these sacred moments. I find the strength to continue because I have taken time to rest.

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.—Matthew 11:28

Let Go Let God Pray for Others

Today and every day I pray for those I love.
Whether I am concerned about a family member or another of God’s children, I remember them in my prayer time. I affirm for them that they are healthy and whole, and I envision for them a life of happiness and success. “Dear one, you are always in my thoughts and prayers. God is loving you in this and every moment, holding you in a loving embrace and protecting you with each step you take. You are capable of achieving dreams that are beyond your imagination, and I am here to support you in all your endeavors. I love you unconditionally and without end. I know without doubt that God is guiding your way. I give thanks for the blessing of having you in my life.”
I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you.—Philippians 1:3-4

Let Go Let God Pray for World Peace

I honor the divine nature of every being.
When I read or hear about unrest in the world, do I ask myself, What can I do? I begin the process of peace by honoring the divine nature of every being. I pray for all in turmoil. I send prayers of peace to all of our world leaders. I envision peace among countries and between neighbors. To change attitudes toward peace, I begin with myself. I connect prayerfully with Spirit. This connection allows me to demonstrate peace at work, in my family, and with all my acquaintances. Whenever I feel concern, frustration, or anxiety, I remember to honor the divine nature of every being. Doing so puts feet to the words of a beloved peace song, “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.”

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you ... Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.—John 14:27

Let Go Let God all is in Divine Order

Through affirmative prayer, divine order is revealed to me.
There may be days when I wonder if I’m on the right path in life. During those moments of doubt, I pause and quietly affirm: divine order. When I need to make a clear decision, I turn my mind from outer distractions and affirm with confidence: divine order. With these two simple words, I am able to let go of worries. This affirmation of truth serves as a reminder that God is in charge. I know in my heart that God’s will for me—and for all I hold dear—includes reaching my greatest potential. Affirming divine order removes doubt and realigns my thoughts with the truth: through affirmative prayer, my way is made clear. My life perfectly expresses divine order.

O my strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.—Psalm 59:17

Let Go Let God be Free

I am free with the freedom of Spirit.
Am I worried that any mistakes I have made in the past will limit my freedom? Just as my past has led me to this place and time, every good thought and heartfelt prayer is leading me to a life without boundaries. I am a child of God, and I am free with the freedom of Spirit! Do events in the world or in my own home leave me fearful of my safety or the safety of my loved ones? God is my safe harbor, and I am free in God’s loving arms. The love of God enfolds me and my loved ones at all times and in every way. There is no situation that is beyond God’s ability to change and make better. God is right here with me, loving me, comforting me, and guiding me to what is best for me now and tomorrow. I am free with the freedom of Spirit!

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.—2 Corinthians 3:17

Let Go Let God with Love

I am an expression of God’s love.
In his first letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul spoke about the power of love and what it means in our lives, “Love is patient; love is kind ... It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” In my relationships—whether they are personal or business-related—I remember Paul’s words and allow them to guide my actions. I strive to be patient and kind, allowing others to be themselves without judgment or censorship. I express God’s love for them by praying for them and encouraging them as they find their way in life. God’s love moves through me to influence my interactions with others.
And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.—1 Corinthians 13:13

Let Go Let God on Stepping-Stones

I am inspired to take right action toward my goals and dreams.
Taking a positive approach toward life, I turn obstacles into opportunities. No matter what my goals and dreams may be, I trust in God to guide me in the right direction. I find that the perfect answer is revealed as I focus my attention on God’s presence in my life. In prayer I gain a new understanding of what is before me. The wisdom of God directs both my inward thoughts and my outward actions. I step out in faith, confident in my abilities. Challenges in my life serve as stepping-stones toward my good. Putting one foot in front of the other, I take inspired action to achieve my goals and dreams. Step by step, I move forward following a path of greater love, peace, and joy.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.—Proverbs 3:6

Let Go Let God in Serendipity

I am grateful that I am richly blessed.
Reflecting on some of the blessings in life and how they came to be is like a connect-the-dots puzzle. When a line is drawn sequentially connecting the numbered dots, the outline of an object is revealed. Looking back, I now see serendipitous events. Serendipity is defined as “finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for.” These things might include how I found my friends, job, church, or the town in which I live. My spiritual understanding and belief in the activity of God at work in my life show how I am guided throughout my journey. I see the connecting lines and recognize divine order and grace leading the way. I am thankful for the gifts I have received and the unexpected good even within the challenging times.

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.–John 1:16
