Let Go Let God in World Peace

I share my peace with the world.

If I am frustrated or upset about a situation in my life, I remember to pause, take a deep breath, and focus on harmony and understanding. My life is smoother when I come from a place of inner peace. As I deepen my daily prayer practice, I am more able to respond in peaceful, loving ways. I create a ripple of peace and understanding through my actions and attitude. My peaceful, cooperative, and kind outlook gently influences those around me to be more peaceful, cooperative, and kind. My shift in consciousness extends beyond my community to my country, continent, and the world. I envision our planet filled with peace, harmony, understanding, cooperation, and kindness.
Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—in peace because they trust in you.—Isaiah 26:3

Let Go Let God in Reflection

I am guided to an amazing new year.

As the year comes to a close, I take time for reflection. The new year is traditionally a time to release old thoughts and beliefs, launch new projects, and change old patterns. I ask myself: What troubles from the past am I ready to release? What hurts am I ready to forgive? What experiences and relationships do I want to manifest in the new year? I become still and turn within, opening my heart and mind to answers from the spirit of God within me. I prayerfully consider which steps are mine to take and remember to be patient with myself as I bravely try something new. Change happens one step at a time. I am guided to an amazing new year.
I am about to create new heavens ... a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered.—Isaiah 65:17

Let Go Let God with Inner Peace

Peace within me; peace around me.

I begin this day by calming my mind and centering myself through prayer. Finding a quiet place for a moment of solace, I relax into the process of connecting with God. With eyes closed and heart open, I rest. In the stillness, there are no outer distractions. Soon I am in alignment with infinite peace deep within me. I am at peace. I AM peace. As I stay in this healing abode of peace, I sense the stirring of something new: a more active peace; an inner strength that is dynamic and present in the world, not separate from it. From this sacred center at the core of my being, I engage with life and fulfill my purpose in new and satisfying ways. Peace restores and energizes me to do what is mine to do. Peace within me; peace around me.

Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.—Romans 14:19

Let Go Let God in Gratitude

I am grateful for the blessings in my life.

In a prayerful mindset I survey my many blessings: My life, my loved ones, my home, my community, and so much more. I let the depth of these blessings soothe my spirit. With joy in my heart, I say a prayer of gratitude for all of my many blessings: Thank You, God, for Your many gifts: life, abundance, understanding, faith, and so many more. I face each day with confidence and serenity, because You and I are one. My heart opens wide as I mentally embrace all the people and situations in my life. I behold the blessings of wisdom, compassion, clarity, love, joy, or friendship each has brought into my life and I am grateful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.—Colossians 3:16

Let Go Let God be Born Anew

I am born anew.

Every day my body is renewing itself. New skin is created, hair grows, and each organ remakes itself cell by cell. This same process applies to my inner life as well. I may have noticed a habit or reaction that I would like to change, a belief that is limiting, or a false story I am telling myself. In my prayer time I consider what the divine image of myself might be. It may be more compassionate, understanding, or forgiving. I hold this vision in my mind and heart, knowing it may take time to come to fruition. Each day I release old ways of being and give life to a renewed, radiant self.
Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.—Colossians 3:9-10

Let Go Let God Be Authentic

I reveal the glory of my authentic self.

Psychologist Carl Jung said, “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” A great wind of freedom blows when I identify who I am not, then peel back those layers to reveal my truest self. As a child, I may have learned to act in ways designed to please others. Yet now I know Spirit’s love is infinite and nonjudgmental. I drop the masks I wore to win others’ love and reveal my true self. I accept “the privilege of a lifetime” by getting to know myself better. I courageously dig deep into my heart and acknowledge my greatest passions and desires. I rejoice in revealing the authentic me.
You were taught to put away your former way of life, your old self … and to clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.–Ephesians 4:22, 24

Let Go Let God on Christmas

Today I gift others with my presence.

On a day when gifts are often exchanged, I remember the most precious gift of all—the gift of pure presence. Practicing the presence of God is a form of prayer—a time of sacred communion with the indwelling Spirit. Practicing spiritual presence with another person is similar. I might initiate a round of gratitude-sharing at the family table. Or I might share my undivided attention with a friend who needs me. Whatever my activities today, I choose to treat every interaction as sacred. I honor the birth of Christ every time I live from my own divine nature and bear witness to the Christ Spirit in others.
I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.—Luke 2:10-11

Let Go Let God Be Protected

I am a child of God enfolded in God’s love.

Whatever whirl of activity may spin around me, I am safe. Whatever the situation, I am not alone. I am divinely protected by God. This loving Presence holds me safe and secure and gives me the strength and guidance I need to live with ease, confidence, and grace. Just as Jesus was born so long ago wrapped in cloths and laid in a manger to keep him safe, I am enfolded in love and safely secured. At the core of my being is the steady awareness of my value as a child of God. I am assured that my divine parent cares for me and guides me to what is best. I put my trust in this awareness and know that all is well. I am protected.
She gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger.—Luke 2:7

Let Go Let God Open to a Miracle

I open my heart to receive miracles.

When the angel Gabriel visited Mary to share that she would soon bear a child, she must have experienced shock and wonder as she absorbed the angel’s message. Mary must have tapped in to her inner guidance in those times of both uncertainty and joyful anticipation of the fulfillment of Gabriel’s message. Amazing things happen in my own life, leaving me in a similar state of mixed emotions. When I realize that something beyond my wildest dreams is coming into my life, I follow Mary’s example and respond with gratitude, humility, and faith. My heart is open to receive miracles.

“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.—Luke 1:37-38

Let Go Let God in His Presence

I honor and celebrate the Christ within—every moment of my life.

During the holiday season, there are myriad sights and sounds that delight my senses and stir up my joy. Yet I know they are just outer experiences that come and go. True and everlasting joy comes when I honor and celebrate the Christ within every moment of my life. I embrace both the spiritual meaning and the outer demonstrations of Christmas as I interact with my loved ones. I follow Jesus’ example. In the Gospels we read that he enjoyed socializing with people as well as spending time alone in prayer and silence. Day by day, he was masterful in balancing inner and outer experiences. I, too, balance the cheerfulness of the season with the joy of the Divine Presence within me.
In your presence there is fullness of joy.—Psalm 16:11

Let Go Let God in Prosperity

I joyfully give and I joyfully receive.

Like attracts like, so a consciousness of good serves as a mental magnet for further good. Recognizing that I hold the key to this attraction, I readily release thoughts of negativity and affirm only Truth. The Absolute Truth is this: I am prosperous, here and now. The past cannot limit me. The present moment of my aliveness is a rich blessing. The future holds only plenty for me. No matter what circumstances appear, my sincere gratitude for God’s bounty ensures my ongoing security and well-being. Steeped in gratitude, I cheerfully radiate and receive Spirit’s infinite abundance. I am thankful for the many blessings and gratefully affirm: I joyfully give and I joyfully receive.
Finally, beloved, whatever is true … and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.—Philippians 4:8

Let Go Let God in Joy

Joy is always just a thought away.

While receiving a gift may make me happy, unadorned joy is itself one of the greatest gifts I can experience. Joy lifts my heart. As I exude happiness, others are uplifted as well. Joy may be quiet, such as the tug at my heart I feel when I see a child happily playing. It may be boisterous, like shared laughter that brings tears to my eyes. Yet all joy is an experience of the heart—an experience of God. Joy is always just a thought away. When I am experiencing stress in my life, I stop to remember my many blessings. I think of kindnesses given and received. My spirits are lifted as I recall the good I have witnessed in so many people and circumstances.

When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy.—Matthew 2:10

Let Go Let God with Choices

I choose my activities with love and wisdom.

During this busy time of year, even worthwhile and exciting social invitations can lose their sparkle on top of too many commitments. Calling on divine wisdom, I know which opportunities will enrich my appreciation of this blessed season, and I easily let go of the rest. Instead of thinking of holiday activities as what I “should” do, I view each one as a choice. I may choose to participate, or not—depending on my interests and availability. I release feelings of guilt or pressure. I embrace and enjoy all those things that are truly meaningful to me. A wonderful feeling of peace comes over me as I exercise my ability to choose with love and wisdom.
So teach us to count our days that we may gain a wise heart.–Psalm 90:12

Let Go Let God with Illumination

Peace, love, and joy radiate from my illuminated heart.

In many areas of the world, celebrations involve light. Hearts and homes are adorned with glowing candles, blinking electric lights, and warming fires become outward symbols of deep inner faith. During this season, I see joy and love reflected. The glow around me sparks inspiration in my soul. I am inspired to contemplate my own traditions and beliefs. I seek a deeper connection and understanding of the Divine through times of prayer and meditation. Peace, love, and joy radiate from my illuminated heart. I experience radiant joy with my family, my friends, and even unknown passersby. We are illuminated by the love of God in our world and in our hearts.
The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.—Psalm 18:28

Let Go Let God When Giving

I give for the joy of giving.

When I consider gift-giving this Christmas, I first think of love. The amount of money I spend, if any, is not important. I feel no sense of pressure or obligation. Instead, I give from the abundance of God’s love within me. From this wealth of Spirit, I give with no thought of return or expectation of appreciation. The true value of my gift is in the kind and loving spirit in which it is given. I also receive gratefully, knowing others experience joy through my receptivity. As I share my time, talent, or treasure this holiday season, I give from my heart with joyous abandon. Giving with a spirit of divine extravagance, I am richly blessed.
Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.–Matthew 2:11

Let Go Let God in Faith

I have faith in God as my guide.

A bird in flight glides on rising air currents and follows its inner navigation to its destination. The bird has learned to let go of fighting the wind. Instead, it harnesses this energy and flies high. Placing my faith in the wisdom of Christ within, I discover I, too, can soar. I rise above any situation and release any need to know what, when, and how all will unfold. I trust God to sustain me, protect me, and strengthen me along my journey. Prayer moves me directly into the current of Spirit. As I faithfully use my energy to work in harmony with Spirit, I am blessed beyond all imagining. I have faith in God as my guide.
For you shall not go out in haste, and you shall not go in flight; for the Lord will go before you.—Isaiah 52:12

Let Go Let God with Reassurance

I find reassurance in the words of Jesus.

Jesus’ encouraging words to the paralyzed man provide me with comfort and reassurance even today: “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven ... Stand up, take your bed and go to your home.” Being in the presence of One who inspired such faith must have been reassuring! The comfort that Jesus’ faith brought to others is available to me through my own faith in God. The words of Jesus resonate within my soul, and each time I recall them, I am reminded of the power of God’s presence active in my own life. The words of Jesus are my comfort at all times and my means of reconnecting my awareness to the infinite power of God.
Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.—Matthew 11:28

Let Go Let God in Understanding

I open my heart and embrace my awakening self.

Life is an ongoing journey, constantly unfolding. Because it has no set destination, every day provides fresh opportunities to experience new vistas. By embracing what each day brings, I use every situation as an opportunity to open my heart and deepen my understanding. I keep my eyes wide open to possibilities by asking, “What is next for me?” With faith that Spirit will respond, I eagerly await, and as I do, I focus on my heart. It beats with the rhythm of Spirit. With each beat I am assured that I am led into an inner awareness of greater energy and light. I awaken to spontaneous new insights. My vision is expanded and I embrace what this new day holds.
I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding.—Colossians 2:2

Let Go Let God with Love

I look for and find ways to express love.

Love is the most powerful force in the universe. It harmonizes and heals. It finds ways to connect us when there seems to be no way. As I prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus, I am reminded of the power of love. A newborn baby, after all, is the very essence of love. My love finds expression as kindness to strangers. It also finds form in the love of friends and relatives. The gifts I give and receive are symbols of the warmth and affection we share. I give the gift of compassion as I pray for those in need. I show love with each smile or kind word I offer to others. In return, I feel even greater love. Love is multiplied as it is given away.
Love one another.—John 13:34

Let Go Let God with Spiritual Intelligence

I am a spiritually intelligent being making divinely inspired choices.

I am blessed with intelligence greater than my mental IQ—my spiritual intelligence. This deeper knowing guides me through any situation in life as I continue my life’s journey, growing in wisdom and understanding. My spiritual intelligence reveals itself as intuition. If I am challenged by a circumstance, I say “Thank you, God” because I know I have been given an opportunity to evolve spiritually. I meet doubt or uncertainty with patience and faith, remembering that all fruits ripen in their own time—just as the gift of spiritual intelligence continues to ripen within me. I have a growing faith that is enriched through prayer. I know this because I am a spiritually intelligent being making divinely inspired choices.
God gave Solomon very great wisdom, discernment, and breadth of understanding as vast as the sand on the seashore.—1 Kings 4:29

Let Go Let God with Guidance

The Christ Light illumines my way.

I may sometimes feel as if I am frozen in place on my spiritual journey. At such times, I acknowledge the natural ebb and flow of life. Just as the sun rises above snow-covered mountains and shines its life-giving light, warming the snow and ice into water, God’s love is available to transform me. I close my eyes and remember my oneness with the Divine. The Christ Light illumines my way, guiding me to the warmth of divine love. I experience the truth of my being—I am one with all the love in the Universe. Every moment in the Silence deepens my awareness of my connection, and I feel at peace knowing my way is illumined. If a shadow of doubt should appear, I gently remind myself: The Christ Light illumines my way.
I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.–Proverbs 8:17

Let Go Let God Be Free

I am free!

I may have felt in the past that obstacles were blocking me from achieving my goals. I may have thought a person or circumstance was keeping me from the healthy, fulfilling life I desire. When these thoughts arise, I turn within. In prayer I acknowledge the truth that God is my strength. No person, place, or thing can keep me from my good. I am free! I am unlimited! With this in mind I focus once again on my goals. I see the next step on my path and I take it. I release any false ideas about obstacles, knowing they will clear as I grow in consciousness. I am free to follow divine ideas and manifest my highest good.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and ... to let the oppressed go free.—Luke 4:18

Let Go Let God with Brilliance

My radiant divinity shines through my authentic humanity and I am whole.

J esus said, “You are the salt of the earth …you are the light of the world.” We are both human and divine. My human nature is real, open, and honest. I am grateful for my earthly body with which I express love, wisdom, and compassion. My divine nature shines in acts of kindness and service. As musician Karen Drucker sings in “Let It Shine,” “I let my big, bright, brilliant beam of radiant light shine.” This affirmation echoes through my mind as I go about my day. Jesus inspired us to shine our light as boldly as a city on a hill. Yet he also urged us to preserve our saltiness—our earthly grounding. I am radiantly whole when I embrace and express both my authentic, human self and my radiant, divine light.
You are the salt of the earth ... You are the light of the world.–Matthew 5:13-14

Let Go Let God In Comfort

The spirit of God comforts and strengthens me.

A cat or dog does not know why their owner is upset, they simply know that comfort is needed. They may nuzzle or snuggle their human as if to say “I’m here; it’s going to be okay.” Just as a pet expresses unconditional love and acceptance in physical form, the spirit of God is unconditional love expressing in all forms. Love is the power that joins and binds in divine harmony the universe and everything in it. If I feel sad or disconnected, I turn within and remember my connection to the universal love that binds everything and everyone. I am comforted knowing I am never alone because I am never separate from God. The spirit of God is my comfort.
Comfort, O comfort my people, says your God.–Isaiah 40:1

Let Go Let God Provide Healing

I place my faith in the healing power of God within.

Whenever I am facing a health challenge, I turn to God in prayer. This sacred time communing with the Divine reminds me of my spiritual nature. As I ponder my oneness with God, I feel more and more at peace. My spiritual identity helps me tap into the wellspring of health within me. Made in the image and likeness of God, I am innately whole. I know there is a power within me that is greater than any circumstance or condition. I experience greater health and well-being as I trust the power of God within, restoring and renewing me in all ways. As I place my faith in the healing power of God, I feel restored, renewed, and vitally alive.
Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.—Matthew 9:22

Let Go Let God in Peace

The peace of God lives in me.

I choose to begin this day in peace. As I do, I activate an energy that goes before me. In any encounter with someone who is stressed or upset, I respond with calmness rather than reacting. My peaceful presence emanates serenity wherever I go. The peace of God that lives in me is readily accessible. Because nobody and nothing are bigger or more powerful than God, the calm peace of my soul remains undisturbed. If my imagination should create a worrisome scenario, I respond with a faithful remembrance that “all things work together for good.” I make the return to peace. I think clearly. I act confidently. I maintain a calm and serene soul.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.—Romans 8:28

Let Go Let God with Enthusiasm

I am alive, alert, and enthusiastic for the possibilities today holds.

Enthusiasm is the spiritual energy that inspires me to move forward with my dreams and goals. When I consider the unlimited possibilities today holds, I feel energized from within. There may be occasions, however, when I feel discouraged or perceive there are obstacles in my path. Through prayer and with the enthusiastic encouragement of others, I see through these missed-perceptions to the Truth: With God, all things are possible. I feel energized from within and eager to fulfill my heart’s desires. My enthusiasm propels me forward and my faith keeps me positive. I am alive, alert, and enthusiastic for the possibilities today holds.

So with yourselves; since you are eager for spiritual gifts, strive to excel in them for building up the church.—1 Corinthians 14:12

Let Go Let God Forgive

I release and forgive.

Ocean waves crash and roll over the beach in a repetitive cadence. The ocean is home to countless animals and continues its rise and fall, rolling in and out, regardless of weather, season, or changes on the shore. It is not affected by who comes to watch the tides or frolic in the waves. When I am struggling to forgive, I remember the ocean. I draw inspiration from the continuous movement and clearing of any limitations. I imagine myself writing in the sand the situation or person I believe has upset me; then I experience release as the waves gently wash away my words.

Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.”—Matthew 18:21-22

Let Go, Let God

I freely let go and let God be God in me.

One of the key words in the phrase “let go, let God” is the word let. Allowing myself to let go means stepping out in faith. If I am accustomed to self-reliance, this act of trust may feel more like a leap than a step. I take that time now. I relax and allow myself to simply be with God. I let go of the need to be in control. I remember that I do not have to know and do everything. I do not have to be in charge; I can relax and just be. What a freeing feeling! What a comfort to know I do not have to do anything alone. There is a continuous presence at work in my life guiding me on my way, blessing and supporting every step. I let go and let God be God in me.
Let each of you lead the life that the Lord has assigned, to which God called you.—1 Corinthians 7:17

Let Go Let God with Patience

I am patient and confident, for I know God is at work in my life.

Living in an age of rapid communication—text messages, live news broadcasts, and more—is convenient. Yet, when I have to wait for other things, such as a package to arrive, or the work week to finish, patience is necessary. A seed cannot be rushed no matter how eager or how fervently I long to taste its fruit. If I find myself impatient or forcing an outcome, I pause to observe my intentions and actions. I rekindle my faith by shifting my attention toward confidence in God’s perfect timing. I remind myself that things will work out in the right time and the right way. Patience gives me peace of mind in my daily activities and for my long-term goals and dreams.
These are the ones who, when they hear the word ... bear fruit with patient endurance.—Luke 8:15

Let Go Let God Pray for Others

I open my heart and lift up all who are in need of prayer.

When someone is going through a difficult time, he or she may find it hard to still the mind and commune with God. At such times I offer my prayer support. I envision that person encircled in love, comfort, and perfect health. I affirm the truth, that God is present in this moment and place. In prayer, we are united in a heart-to-heart connection. I apply this practice for others beyond my circle of family and friends. I envision my community enveloped in love and health. Then I broaden my vision to see each continent infused with peace and understanding, their leaders using divine wisdom to guide each decision. I affirm the truth that God is present in each moment and place, and all is well.
When he had finished speaking, he knelt down with them all and prayed.—Acts 20:36
