Let Go Let God as Compassion

God’s love expresses through me as compassion.

When I see someone in distress, my heart goes out to them. I may be inspired to offer my support or to assist them in finding the help they require. I, too, have faced difficult times in my life. I know how much relief one can feel just knowing another person cares. In many ways, we need each other. When I reach out to someone, we both benefit. Compassion, as an expression of the love of God, moves through me to another. It fills my heart as well as theirs. I feel a connection with my higher self when I can make a positive difference in someone’s life. I look for and easily find ways to express God’s love as compassion.

As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.—Colossians 3:12

Let Go Let God in Comfort

I am comforted and at peace as I open to love.

I feel such deep loss when a loved one passes, when a job or relationship ends. I may struggle with deciding how to fill the empty void left behind. Comfort comes in many forms: the support of family and friends, the unspoken love of a pet, the awareness of the Infinite found in the vibrancy of a sunset. Healing takes time and love. In quiet prayer, I open to new joy and fulfilling experiences. I am fortified by my inner strength. I can begin a new journey in my life without letting go of sweet memories. I keep each blessing I have received tucked away in my heart and bring it out whenever my spirit needs a lift. I am comforted and at peace.

This is my comfort in my distress, that your promise gives me life.—Psalm 119:50

Let Go Let God Forgive

Forgiveness transforms my pain into possibilities.

I choose to forgive. I no longer want to hold any pain, resentment, or traumatic memories close to my heart. I let them all go, then I watch as the emotions transform within me through God’s divine alchemy. I know the past has only as much power as I allow. When I let go and forgive, I open to new possibilities of peace, harmony, and beauty. When I forgive, I release the pain that no longer serves or protects me. Forgiveness is a choice. The Christ energy in me, my divine essence, equips me with the power to forgive others as well as to forgive myself. I am relieved and grateful when I choose to forgive.

If anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.—Colossians 3:13

Let Go Let God be Free

This day—this now moment—I begin again. I am free!

I am blessed with the gift of free will. That means I can choose to view a situation as positive or negative. I can choose whether and how to respond to events. With this freedom, I have the power to change my life experience, lovingly supported, guided, and directed by Spirit within. My freedom also allows me to choose to commune with the presence of God in me. I am reminded that no situation, incident, event, or personal encounter has power unto itself. It is only what I choose to see. Today, as I prepare to meet the world, I choose peace. I choose love. I choose abundance. I choose wholeness. I am free to choose. This day—this now moment—I begin again. I am free!

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.—2 Corinthians 3:17

Let Go Let God Understand Abundance

With gratitude for what I have, I watch my blessings grow.

I no longer feel guilty for wanting more in my life, now that I understand abundance is already mine. We are living in the field of God’s plenty. I appreciate the present, giving thanks for all I have right now, then I watch as my blessings multiply. There are no limits placed on what I am allowed to desire. Through my own divine nature, I can breathe my desires into life. I release any limiting beliefs or fears that might hold me back and revel in understanding the creative power of my thoughts and feelings. Life does not need to be difficult. Spirit’s abundant supply of resources is at my disposal. I am open to receiving my soul’s greatest hopes and dreams.

You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with richness.—Psalm 65:11

Let Go Let God as Opportunities

I live in a world of unlimited possibility!

Winston Churchill said, “A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Every day I choose between the two. If I expect life to be hard and people to be against me, I will find evidence everywhere. If I believe every challenge carries blessings, then I will find good even in difficult situations. Loss can deliver us to deep appreciation for the gifts we still have. Accomplishing what we didn’t think we could expands our faith to new and exciting levels. I choose to see the Divine at work in every area of my life. Through the lens of opportunity, I believe all things are possible. I enthusiastically affirm: I live in a world of unlimited possibility!

For nothing will be impossible with God.—Luke 1:37

Let Go Let God be Unlimited

My divine nature is unlimited.

If I look only at my day-to-day human experiences, it’s sometimes hard to believe I am an unlimited spiritual being. After all, I have errands to run, tasks to finish, or people to care for. My time and my choices can easily feel limited. But I know the truth of my soul. I take a moment to pause, breathe, and remember I am part of a magnificent whole, a being formed by love and light, a beloved player in this game of life. I am here with a purpose—to love and be loved, to give and receive, to choose joy even among the errands, tasks, and caregiving. This life is my opportunity to be an opening for God on the earth. My divine nature is unlimited.

You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.—Psalm 16:11

Let Go, Let God

I understand what is mine to do and what is not.

Just as a river might flow through rushing rapids and lazy bends, the ebb and flow of my life varies over time. When the flow seems turbulent, my impulse may be to cling to what’s familiar, unintentionally blocking my own progress. But prayer restores my divine connection. Infinite intelligence guides my every thought, word, and deed. I am emboldened to let go of whatever fear would have me control. I am inspired to let love lead the way. As I let go and let God, exciting new possibilities for navigating the course of my life are revealed. I boldly claim the blessings previously hidden beneath the fear. I rest in the awareness that I am one with God’s all-sufficient, all-providing presence.

Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.—John 7:38

Let Go Let God Bring Enthusiasm

I bring enthusiasm to all I do today.

Today is a new day. No matter what happened yesterday, I set my intention to meet this day with a sense of eagerness and anticipation. I am filled with the expectation of good, and I plan to draw uplifting, fulfilling experiences to me. I am reminded of the joy a small child expresses at each new experience. I recapture the bliss that always resides in my heart and let it flow through me. I feel new energy and elation overflowing from me. I bring that renewed sense of joy to each encounter, each task. Whatever I give to life comes back to bless me. Giving thanks for this reciprocity of the universe, I give enthusiastically and receive abundantly.

For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has—not according to what one does not have.—2 Corinthians 8:12

Let Go Let God in Unity

I live in unity with all people.

Never has it been more important to offer love and compassion to everyone we meet, knowing all are one in Spirit. It is not enough to pray for unity and peace; I must practice peace in every thought and action. In that way, I radiate peace and unity to the world. Today I remember a willingness to share in the spirit of unity. I, happily share my joyous spirit. There is no limit to what one person can do to create unity in this world.

Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.—1 Peter 3:8

Let Go Let Go be Potential

I am divine potential in expression.

How empowering to know that I have unlimited potential! Charles Fillmore wrote, “Christ abides in each person as his potential perfection.” This means the same spirit that was in Jesus is in me, waiting to be developed. In prayer, I attune to my own Christ energy. I gain new clarity and discern what is mine to do. Understanding my divine nature, I learn to express my inner God-qualities of light, love, wisdom, and faith. I approach each experience with confidence  knowing my divine potential, and I express my true self in every situation. There is no limit to what I can achieve or the many ways I can be a blessing.

I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.—Job 42:2

Let Go Let God with Gratitude

I create my best life with an attitude of gratitude!

Today I embrace all things with an attitude of gratitude. My life might be a mix of what I call good or bad, but I choose to believe it is all happening for me, with each experience benefiting me in some way. Even if I am not able to see my good or my growth in this moment, I trust all will be revealed in time. No matter what I am facing, with every breath I can inhale possibility, giving thanks for a chance to grow. I can exhale, releasing any resistance to circumstances or people. I am faith-filled, knowing that with an attitude of gratitude, everything leads me to the highest outcomes. Whatever I am brought to, I will be brought through.

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, provided it is received with thanksgiving.—1 Timothy 4:4

Let Go Let God Nourish

I am a spiritual being, nourished in mind, body, and soul.

There are many ways in which I am nourished. I nourish my body through the right foods and exercise. I nourish my brain by learning, problem- solving, and positive thinking. These actions help me function well in the world and in my everyday life as a healthy, whole, and productive person. But I am more than a mind and a body. I am a spiritual being, and it is important to nourish that part of me through rest, relaxation, and prayer. Prayer feeds my soul; it allows me to spend quiet time in spiritual contemplation. Just as food and exercise nourish my body and positive thinking nourishes my brain, prayer nourishes my soul, and I am blessed.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure.—Psalm 16:9

Let Go Let God as World Peace

I am doing my part for world peace.

Over and over, we are told that world peace begins with peace in our hearts. That’s very good news. It means I can contribute to world peace every day. I don’t have to be a diplomat or high-ranking government official to play a role in moving the planet toward peace. I only have to remember to choose peace in every situation. Peace is far more than refraining from physical violence. Peace is kinder thoughts and deeds. Peace is giving the benefit of the doubt. Peace is honesty and trust. Peace is even simple courtesy. Each time I see the face of God in another human being and treat that person accordingly, I contribute to world peace.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.—Colossians 3:15

Let Go Let God Provide Guidance

My mind is clear and my path is revealed.

Each day through television, social media, and radio, I receive such a barrage of information that I have difficulty sorting out what is important to me and my family. One way to discern the truth is to stop, breathe, and feel the presence of God. As I put aside worldly things, I open myself to divine wisdom and peace. I rise to a higher level of awareness and attune to the Infinite. I release outer distractions that clutter my mind, and I am left with absolute peace and clarity. I hear the gentle guidance of my inner voice, renewing my sense of purpose. I emerge from these moments certain of what is mine to do.

His armor-bearer said to him, “Do all that your mind inclines to. I am with you; as your mind is, so is mine.”—1 Samuel 14:7

Let Go Let God Heal

I am healthy in mind, body, and spirit.

Being well takes many forms in mind, body, and spirit. My mind expands with new information to improve the quality of my life. My body constantly regenerates and heals as new cells replace older ones to create a healthier version of my body every day. My spirit is elevated and renewed in prayer and meditation as I strengthen my awareness of the divine presence within me. All these are healing energies, and all are as close as the skin I am in. As a spiritual being in a human body, I make wise choices for my mind, body, and spirit. I embrace any opportunities I find for balance and self-care, and I am grateful for every moment of life.

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, just as it is well with your soul.—3 John 1:2

Let Go Let God Have Faith

I have faith that the very best is unfolding in my life.

In Hebrews 11:1 we read that faith is “the conviction of things not seen.” Sometimes I am convinced the best is coming, but other times I carelessly allow my imagination to create visions of the worst. Sometimes I even doubt I deserve anything better. Knowing my thoughts and feelings have creative power, I explore the beliefs behind my words. I want to give my energy only to what supports me, building my confidence and strengthening my faith in myself and my abilities. The truth is that I am within God, and God is within me every step of the way. I am ready, willing, and able to bring about the very best in my life!

But ask in faith, never doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.—James 1:6

Let Go Let God Fearlessly

I am fearless and free.

Fear can be a paralyzing emotion. It might even prevent me from living my best life. I choose to live fearlessly, to face any seeming obstacle by approaching it with faith and courage. When I face difficulties, I draw upon inner faith and courage. As I challenge myself to do something that seems scary, I expand my faith. This is how I realize greatness—in recognizing the power of Spirit within me. By drawing upon my inner powers of faith, love, and wisdom, I approach life with a freedom of spirit that enables me to live audaciously. In return, I am blessed! I meet new people and make new friends. With an intrepid spirit, I walk unafraid through life.

He said, “Do not fear, greatly beloved, you are safe. Be strong and courageous!”—Daniel 10:19

Let Go Let God Create Harmony

Today I will blend differences into harmony.

I don’t have to know much about music to know that harmony can turn a simple melody into a symphony. It can make a choir magnificent and make country music heartbreaking. Harmony creates beautiful music. When two or more people harmonize, they don’t sing the same note. Different but complementary notes make a more interesting sound—that’s the very definition of harmony. So as I seek harmony in my life, I no longer insist that other people be just like me or see life the same way. Our differences can be harmonious if we are willing to attune to each other. Together we create the music of the spheres.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.—Psalm 100:1

Let Go Let God Be Energized

Divine energy revitalizes and renews me.

Guided by my spiritual awareness, I entertain thoughts that increase my ability to be creative and productive. Aligned with God Mind, I focus my thoughts, feelings, and beliefs on my highest aspirations. When limiting thoughts threaten to squelch my energies, I let them roll by like clouds overhead. I do not allow darkness or pain to deplete me. Instead, I turn my attention to the unmistakable evidence of infinite good and eternal love that is the source of all beauty and blessings. Faithfully, I affirm I am supplied with all the energy I need to help create a world that works for all.

For it is God who is at work in you.—Philippians 2:13

Let Go Let God Authentically

I am free to be my true self.

Today I may be called to fill many roles: parent, child, spouse; partner, friend, neighbor; coworker, consumer, citizen. As I contemplate the unwavering power of infinite love, I understand that my true self, my authentic self, is divine. I am guided to speak and act for the highest good of all concerned. I can express myself with courage and compassion
In strife, my words and actions bring forth peace, reconciliation, and wholeness. In accord, my contribution is a magnet for joy, beauty, and abundance. Trusting my authentic self, I allow the glory of the Infinite to transform ordinary circumstances into magnificent possibilities.

And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed.—2 Corinthians 3:18

Let Go Let God in Perspective

I choose to be happy today.

I’ve heard the old cliche, “It’s all in how you look at it,” but it has taken years to recognize those words as a powerful tool for happiness. My experience of life is entirely determined by the way I choose to view people and events and the labels I apply to them, good or bad. I see this when a friend thinks a meal is wonderful and I don’t, or I’m thrilled by some family news while a loved one sees trouble. Clearly our responses are not determined by events; we are interpreting the same events differently. We are choosing whether to be happy. Free will is part of my divine makeup and feels like a gift from God. I can choose to be happy every day!

If there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.—Philippians 4:8

Let Go Let God Affirm Inner Peace

I experience life from a place of peace.

Being peaceful does not mean that I float above disturbance or chaos. It means I walk through the events of my life calmly and wisely. When I center myself and align with the peace of my soul, my experiences do not weigh on me. I connect with the peace of my soul by quietly affirming the words Jesus spoke to the storm around him: “Peace! Be still!” These words echo in my mind and heart as I draw my attention inward. I claim peace within and decree peace around me. I know all is in divine order and everything is working for my good. Elevating myself to this spiritual vantage point, I experience life from a place of peace.

To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.—Romans 8:6

Let Go Let God Listen

I hear God in the sounds of life all around me.

Listening connects me to this present moment. When I pay attention to my senses, I ground myself in the things and people that are part of my experience here and now—the voices of my friends and family, the chirping birds, or the melody of a song. I take in the sounds of God expressing all around me. When I listen in the silence of prayer and meditation, I become more aware of God within me. I focus inward and feel rooted in Spirit. While the information I receive from the external world is valuable, I regularly turn off my outer ears and tune in to what is happening within me. There, in silence, I hear God most clearly.

My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.—John 10:27-28

Let Go Let God Release

I release that which no longer serves me and open to abundant good.

Getting ready for a change of season, I may go through my closet and get rid of clothes I haven’t worn. They no longer appeal to me. In removing the old clothes, I make room for new ones. Other areas of my life benefit from this same process of release. I perform some spiritual housecleaning when I reflect on what is working in my life and what isn’t. I choose to let go of ideas, practices, or habits that no longer appeal to me. This act of release opens my mind to divine ideas that uplift and prosper me. Knowing my thoughts shape my life, I remain open to a continual flow of positive ideas.

Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.—Matthew 18:18

Let Go Let God with Vision

I am divinely inspired to do more and be more.

Visionaries exemplify the power of imagination and perseverance. In the same way, my own vision comes to fruition as I hold positive thoughts with faith. Pilot Amelia Earhart once said, “What do dreams know of boundaries?” There is no limit to what I can dream or achieve. When I draw upon my divine nature and use the universal principles available to all, the possibilities are endless!

You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last.—John 15:16

Let Go Let God Seek Strength

I am strong, wise, and loving.

God, give me strength! How many times have I prayed this prayer, often in desperation? Today as I seek strength to do all I have to do, I turn within. I align myself with the strength and power of God that is always within me. In this quiet time, I remember the truth: Strength is part of my divine makeup. I am innately strong, and I can do all things! If I should momentarily forget this truth, I step back and take a breath. Taking one brief moment to align myself with my divine nature, the God within, allows me to return to the situation with full awareness of my strength to manage anything. I bring peace and understanding to every situation.

I pray that ... he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit.—Ephesians 3:16-17

Let Go Let God Serve

I look for opportunities to serve.

I make a point of developing my spiritual life—I read and study, I pray and meditate, I am part of a spiritual community. But spiritual understanding doesn’t count for much unless I put it into action. So I look for ways to serve. Any act of kindness is a form of service. It might be volunteering to help the poor, but it also could be mowing a neighbor’s lawn, letting someone ahead in the grocery line, or carpooling with children. Service ranges from full-time caregiving to something as simple as listening. Anything I do to make life a little easier for another is service, and I see opportunities to serve as soon as I look for them. Service is a spiritual practice.

Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.—1 Peter 4:10

Let Go Let God Pray for Others

I express love for others through prayer.

Treating others with love and kindness is a tenet of many religions and belief systems. Spiritual masters have taught the importance of love and compassion for others, even those who differ from or oppose us. Jesus said “love your neighbor as yourself,” and Jesus and the Buddha both taught us to love our enemies. I can express love for others through prayer. I hold others in loving thought as I affirm their connection to God and envision their highest good unfolding. I do not judge past behaviors or future outcomes. Instead, I trust that divine order is at work in their lives. I pray for others with compassion and express unconditional love.

“You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.” But I say ... Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.—Matthew 5:43-44

Let Go Let God Share Prosperity

I happily share my abundance with others.

Created as a reflection of God, I already have everything I need. Like an overflowing cup of tea, I am filled with more than enough. I am prosperous because I am one with God, the infinite source of all that is. When I align my mind with this truth, I feel abundant and find joy in sharing with others. In order to ensure that I have plenty to give, I replenish my cup by taking care of my physical, mental, and spiritual needs. That way, I am not depleted and am able and eager to share from my abundance. I nurture the gifts that God has given me so they can grow. My cup runneth over, and I have plenty to share with others.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.—Psalm 23:5

Let Go Let God as a Pet Blessing

I bless and am blessed by my pet.

Pets teach us about love, understanding, acceptance—and patience! We also learn about ourselves and our ability to care for another living being. It is our responsibility and opportunity to provide for them. These dear ones express unconditional love and allow us to give love in return. They may provide us with safety and protection; certainly they give us comfort. Perhaps they bring joy as they entertain us with their personalities. My pet and I are linked. We are in each other’s lives for a reason. Our bond has grown into a close friendship. I am blessed in countless ways by my pet.

The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field.—Genesis 2:20
