Let Go Let God Build World Peace

My Peaceful Consciousness Helps Build A Peaceful World.

As a new year approaches, I affirm, with all the world’s people, that sustainable peace in the world is unfolding. Peace begins with me. I look within my consciousness, inviting any negative thoughts or feelings toward any culture or person to be healed through the power of divine love. Even if unkind words or actions are directed toward me or people like me, I remain steadfast and centered in peace. I am like a gentle fountain. Peace flows from me. My words and thoughts are harmonious. In all my pursuits—whether humble or grand—I promote understanding that honors and celebrates the rich diversity of the human family.

They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.—Micah 4:3

Let Go, Let God

I Open My Hands And My Heart, Releasing Expectation.

Sometimes I am so certain that what I wish for is what I need, I lose sight of the larger picture, which contains so much more than I can perceive. Today I release demands and specific agendas I may be holding on to. I loosen my grip on my insistence on a preferred outcome. Instead, I simply allow the situation to unfold and let myself be pleasantly surprised. I prepare for the best by listening to my guidance, and I ready myself to flex and flow with whatever surprises may be in store, trusting the Divine will be in every detail. I affirm: I am open, receptive, perceptive, and present to serendipity. I let go and let God, and in grateful expectation, I revel in unexpected blessings.

I am going to send an angel in front of you, to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.—Exodus 23:20

Let Go Let God Through Understanding

My Compassion Flows From Understanding.

Each person is born with innate wholeness and goodness. When I see myself and others through the lens of this understanding, I can more easily practice forgiveness and compassion. I may not agree with others’ beliefs or behaviors, but I can perhaps empathize with their feelings. I know people have struggles that I cannot know, like the tip of an iceberg whose totality is not visible. I cannot know what is occurring beneath the surface. Understanding allows for peaceful coexistence. I am kind, yet free to place boundaries that ensure my well-being. Icebergs are not bad, but a ship that passes too closely may sustain some damage. I can choose when to steer away if that is best for me, maintaining peace through understanding of myself and others.

Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.—Psalm 119:34

Let Go Let God Pray For Others

I Hold The Spiritual Truth For Those I Hold In Prayer.

Today I share my faith with those for whom I pray. I know from my own experience how difficult it can feel to hold on to faith during the more trying and tumultuous periods of life. That’s why praying with others can be such a powerful blessing. I may offer a listening ear as a dear one pours out the troubles of their heart. I listen deeply and respond with compassion and understanding, while I hold a higher view for them. Before I begin to pray, I release any concern or despair about the circumstance and focus instead on spiritual truth. I turn within to find the divine light that shines upon us all. I pray and behold each one as a divine being—whole, healthy, happy, prosperous, and abundantly blessed.

Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.—1 Thessalonians 5:11

Let Go Let God In A Blissful State

I Find My Bliss In The Love I Feel For God.

I am grateful for the gift of prayer and all my favorite ways to feel the presence of God— reading scripture, singing, serving, and spending time in nature. Today I realize I don’t have to be doing something to feel God’s presence. God is within the joy I carry in my heart and the peace that stills and quiets my mind. This joy and peace are my bliss. It is the assurance I do not travel this life alone. It is knowing Spirit is my security and comfort, no matter what may be happening within or around me. I amplify my blissful feelings by practicing gratitude for the divine presence that blesses and animates me. As a child of God, I am divine love in expression. In my blissful state, I share my love, joy, and peace lavishly.

He replied, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”—Luke 23:43

Let Go Let God Affirm Unity

As Divine Beings, We Are One In God.

I celebrate the unity that gives meaning to my life as a member of my family, community, and nation, the same unity that ultimately binds all people as part of the human family and joins us in Spirit. We are made in the image and likeness of God, and this unity is our great strength. In this awareness, discord dissolves in the presence of cooperation and harmony. Hate withers in the presence of love. And indifference gives way to compassion and service. I choose to live in a world united. I do my part to create this world by choosing words and actions that affirm the unity in my life and throughout all life, including all people everywhere.

Make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.—Philippians 2:2

Let Go Let God It's Christmas

With Joy, I Welcome Christmas.

Far from home, Luke’s gospel story tells us Mary and Joseph welcomed a child with only a stable filled with animals as a birthing place and a feeding trough for a cradle. This story reminds me that no state of consciousness is too humble, no station in life is too lowly, and there is no fear that cannot give way to wonder. Wherever it finds a willing, welcoming heart, the Christ will be born. No matter how I am celebrating Christmas, I will carry this awareness with me. Today I feel the dawning of promise and potential in me, as I feel the Christ presence within me afresh and anew. This is the greatest gift I could ever receive and the best gift I have to give.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.—Luke 2:7

Let Go Let God On Christmas Eve

I Prepare To  Welcome The Christ Within.

On the first Noel, Mary and Joseph demonstrated their willingness to journey forth in faithful love. Under arduous circumstances, two good parents brought forth and nurtured a great light into the darkness of a struggling world. On Christmas Eve, I affirm the original blessing of all people, the indwelling Christ. My Advent journey has guided me as I have grown in faith, wrapped myself in peace, deepened in love, and delighted in joy. I have prepared for a wondrous arrival throughout the Advent season, and now the moment is here—the Christ is about to be born anew. As the darkness vanishes before the flickering light of a candle, the birth of the Christ drives out the darkness of the world.

Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed.—Luke 1:48

Let Go Let God Know Faith

With Faith, I See The Glory Of God In All Things.

The words I believe carry immense power, whether I speak them aloud or carry them inside me. The feelings, thoughts, and words that follow will shape my life. With a new awareness of my beliefs, I realize how what I focus on informs my faith. I notice when I might think I can’t instead of having faith I can. Then I take steps toward making something happen. That might mean learning a new skill, practicing patience and understanding, or even just asking for help. I don’t have to know how to do everything, only to have faith I will find my way to do all that is mine to do. When I believe in the best and highest, I feel divine energy surging within me. My faith can move mountains.

Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”—John 11:40

Let Go Let God With Grace

In Partnership With God, I Act Upon The Gift Of Grace.

I do not have to do anything to earn my many blessings because they are rooted in the unconditional love of Spirit. I am a divine being, deserving of goodness and grace. I accept these gifts with gratitude, trusting I am worthy of them even if I do not feel that way in the moment. I do my part to meet the grace of God by correcting my mistakes and missteps—apologizing when appropriate—and acting decisively upon the opportunities that come my way. In this way, I cocreate with God by accepting and appreciating grace. I act upon this gift of Spirit, understanding I am meant as a spiritual being to live into my highest expression, the fullness of my divinity. Grace is the gift of God I give to myself again and again.

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.—John 1:16

Let Go Let God In The Flow

I Relax Into The Current Of Life.

Seasons ebb and flow, moving from one to the next, naturally and effortlessly. To help the phases of my life do the same, I spend time in prayer to keep my thoughts centered and to focus on my divine nature. Becoming still, I reflect on my life—giving space to thoughts, memories, feelings, and ideas of where I have been and where I want to go. I acknowledge the circumstances that have brought me to where I am and let them drift past, swept away on a current of peace. I embrace who I am—a spiritual being living in a human body. I envision the good I desire and affirm it is manifesting at the right time and in the right way. Throughout the ebb and flow of life, I live in peace and gratitude.

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.—Psalm 46:4

Let Go Let God Share Presence

It Is My Joy To Be With You.

One of the most precious gifts I can give during the Christmas season or at any time is my presence. The time and attention I devote to simply being with people I care about expresses my love in a way that no material gift can match. Large, festive gatherings can be fun, and a splendid way to reconnect with family and friends. Quieter times with one or two who are especially dear to me also allow me to create memories we can cherish. If I’m not able to visit my loved ones in person, I can share my presence with them over the phone or computer. It doesn’t matter what we do or what we talk about when we spend time together. In the comfort of one other’s company, the warmth of our shared love blesses us all.

For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.—Matthew 18:20

Let Go Let God Be Light

The Light Of God Illuminates Me.

Divine illumination is the light that brightens my way when I feel life’s darkness descend around me. This light of spiritual understanding helps me express an energy that aligns me with the peace and power of God. With it, I can bring coherence and order to scattered and disordered circumstances. I bring the light of God to whatever may be casting a shadow in my life. I use my indwelling wisdom to discern the way forward. When I receive a nudge of intuition or a flash of insight, I move forward in complete trust. I shine the light of truth and understanding when I rely upon my divine wisdom. I don’t fear the darkness. I bring the light.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.—1 John 1:5

Let Go Let God Celebrate Joy

Joyfully, I Celebrate My Oneness With God.

As the Three Wise Men followed the star to Bethlehem to greet the newborn child, I follow my inner light and discover the Christ within. As I approach the conclusion of Advent season, I realize that this, rather than material goods or creature comforts, is the source of my joy. The Christ within is the part of me that is always one with God—omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence. When I face challenging times, I can draw from that inner wellspring of joy, my foundation of irrepressible strength and fortitude. I have within me the power to overcome any challenge. This day, this moment, I am joy-filled, and I celebrate the overflowing blessings of my divinity.

When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy.—Matthew 2:10

Let Go Let God Bring Comfort

God's Love Comforts Me And Inspires Me To Comfort And Support Others.

In times of need, I go within for comfort as I immerse myself in the love of God. I pray and release my burdens. In the still waters of my soul, I release stressful thoughts and rest in the sweetness and restoring power within me. Divine love comforts me like a warm blanket on a cold day. I feel restored and renewed. This renewal helps me reassure and support those who need me. I reach out to comfort my dear ones when they are going through difficult times. With an open heart, I listen compassionately and extend a helping hand. Sometimes just a smile, a hug, or a word of encouragement will brighten someone’s life. The cycle is ongoing. As I am unburdened and uplifted in prayer, I bring comfort to others. I stay prayed up and aligned with God’s love.

Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant.—Psalm 119:76

Let Go Let God Rest In Protection

I Rest In The Shelter Of God's Loving Presence.

Within all people and creatures is an innate response to seek shelter from harm. Animals may burrow or hide to be safe from predators or the weather. People may look to family, friends, or trusted agencies for reassurance and support in times of need. There is also a deep, personal, and unlimited resource to turn toward for spiritual protection. The presence of God within me is my source of safety and security. With this awareness, I move through life secure in the faith I am not alone. Spirit within is my shelter from any storm, a beacon of light that signals the right path and steers me away from harm. I trust I am divinely guided and protected every step of the way.

You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”—Psalm 91:1-2

Let Go Let God In Beauty

In Beauty, I Walk Within God, As God Lives Within Me.

I perceive the beauty of the world through my senses. From the sights and sounds that enchant me to the fragrances and tactile sensations that delight me, I am surrounded by magnificence and majesty. Today I take the world’s beauty into my heart. Love, kindness, tenderness, and compassion—divine love in action blesses me with its beauty. All the things that spark my soul merely reflect the beauty that is within me. Divine love and the many expressions of beauty that inspire my heart live in me. God is the source of everything beautiful. My awareness of God deepens as I appreciate the beauty all around me and especially within me.

Finally, beloved … whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.—Philippians 4:8

Let Go Let God Have Prosperity

Through Spirit, I Am Abundantly Prospered.

Today I expand my understanding of prosperity beyond material riches. Even if I have no material possessions, I can still feel richly blessed by Spirit. For this knowledge alone I am filled with gratitude. It does not take money to pray, to sing, or to practice the presence of God. Whatever lifts me up heightens my awareness of my rich spiritual life. As I continue to cultivate that connection, I fill my mind and heart with prosperous thoughts and feelings. With gratitude, I share that joy with people all around me. My prosperous attitude is infectious, and others are eager to know why I feel this way. I share the simple truth that is easy to discover: Prosperity comes from a deep knowing that God is my source of all good. Because of this, I am abundantly prospered in all ways.

May you have abundant prosperity!—Daniel 6:25

Let Go Let God Practice Foregiveness

I Am One With The Forgiving, Healing Guidance Of God.

A forgiveness practice is key to spiritual growth and to achieving lasting peace. When I forgive, I open my mind and become willing to see things differently. I view conflicts from the perspective of others who may have been involved in the situation. This may help me better understand how events unfolded the way they did. As I learn more about what happened, I keep my heart and mind open to receiving divine guidance, which helps me let go of resentment. As I quiet my thoughts in prayer, I picture the wisdom and grace of God working in and through me, cleansing me of emotional pain and opening my heart to forgiveness. With a forgiving, open heart, I welcome my spiritual healing.

Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive.—2 Corinthians 2:10

Let Go Let God With Guidance

Divinely Guided I Direct My Life.

Listening to my inner guidance keeps me flexible and adaptable no matter how outer circumstances change. I do not worry or despair when this happens. Instead of rigidly insisting on how I think my plans should progress, I rely upon divine guidance to help me navigate a shifting landscape. I trust my inner wisdom to help me discern the way forward, understanding there are possibilities I may not be able to perceive. God within is my unfailing guide, leading me ever onward to my best and highest. I pause and center my awareness in my heart, allowing time and space for the next move to become clear. When it is time to move forward, it is with the assurance I am divinely directed.

If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you.—James 1:5

Let Go Let God Love

I Answer The Call To Love, Embracing The World.

Love is both a noun and a verb. More than just a feeling, it is one of the highest intentions I can hold, and one of the most sacred actions I can take. Love is the name and nature of God, the pulsation of oneness from the center of my heart to the farthest reaches of earthly existence. On this third Sunday of Advent, love is also a call to action, an invitation to perceive the world through the Christ presence and live as the love I am. I open my heart and let my love flow forth as kindness, gentleness, and compassion. I stay grounded in the presence of God through my prayers, and I radiate love through my kind words and actions. I trust my loving impulses will reach far and wide. The light and joy I send forth grow and expand to encompass all things.

Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.—1 John 3:18

Let Go Let God Bless Humanity

I Affirm Peace, Dignity, And Equality For All People.

All people deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. No matter the country of origin, culture, ethnicity, or belief system—we all have the right to live in peace. Likewise, we all have the sacred responsibility to treat others the way we would like to be treated. This awareness guides my thoughts today as I offer a blessing for humanity. I envision us surrounded by love, peace, and safety. I behold the divine identity we share—the Spirit that connects us and joins our hearts as one. We are beings of light, and we shine the light of hope and understanding. We bless the world with a dazzling spectrum of gifts. Each of us is an integral part of the world’s goodness. Amen.

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone … so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and dignity.—1 Timothy 2:1-2

Let Go Let God Wonder

I Open Myself To A Wonder-Filled World.

My heart swells with gratitude and joy as I behold a wonder-filled world. Today I slow down and mindfully focus and train my senses on the world around me. I notice the colors and patterns in the natural world and the human-made creations I encounter daily. I listen to the music of nature and am charmed by its song. The sweet aromas that fill the air, the taste of my favorite fresh foods, and the variety of textures that touch my skin—when I pause to notice these details, I am almost overwhelmed with wonder. I focus my attention on my spiritual life as well. I pray with renewed focus and concentration, fully giving myself over to the Divine within me. I am filled with wonder as I discover God anew.

And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened.—Acts 3:10

Let Go Let God Through Healing

The Healing Light Of God Shines Forth In Me.

Life is a healing journey. As I trust in the healing power of God, I feel the flow of life that energizes every condition of my body, mind, and emotions. I center myself in this great current and release any cares or worries about my health. The life-giving energy of healing is a mighty river, flowing through me, leading to restored inner harmony and an increased sense of well-being. I do my part to facilitate wellness by seeking healing treatments and living in a way that supports the optimal functioning of my body and mind. Wholeness is the truth of me as a divine being. To realize this wholeness, I affirm: I am made in the image and likeness of God. There is no condition greater than this truth, and for that I am grateful. Amen.

O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me.—Psalm 30:2

Let Go Let God Be Free

Taking Responsibility For My Life Leads Me To Freedom.

The world is rife with developments that may feel beyond my control. If sometimes I feel discouraged or stuck in a trying situation, I remember my inner world—my consciousness—is completely within my power to control. Taking responsibility for my thoughts and feelings as well as for my actions and reactions is the key to spiritual freedom. Even if it’s occasionally tempting to believe otherwise, nothing and no one can make me feel a certain way. As I live from this awareness, I notice I meet the circumstances of my life more calmly and with certainty and groundedness. I am responsible for how I meet life, which makes me irrepressibly and joyously free.

For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.—Galatians 5:1

Let Go Let God Delight In Laughter

My Soul Delights In Laughter.

Losing myself in the fun of a silly, lighthearted moment brings a smile to my lips and makes me laugh. Sometimes I giggle when something amuses me, and other times I laugh so hard I cry. Whatever the cause, laughter lightens my mood and tickles my soul. As I laugh, I am lifted into the realm of expansive joy and possibility. I feel light and free. Finding something to laugh about makes me happy, so I look for simple things that bring cheer to my heart and find ways to bring cheer to others. I may share a funny story or fond memories of a goofy time. I might find something fun to do with a friend, something that is bound to make us laugh together and give thanks for the spirit of joy that unites us.

Now Sarah said, “God has brought laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me.”—Genesis 21:6

Let Go Let God Believe

I Believe I Can Create The Life Of My Dreams.

What I believe influences the way my life unfolds. While my beliefs cannot make something happen or keep it from happening, they do influence how I live. I am a spiritual being, an expression of God. I believe that within me is the fullness of my divine inheritance, all I could ever need to create my most fulfilling life. When my actions are at odds with my beliefs, I do not despair. Guided by spiritual wisdom and understanding, I transform any limiting beliefs by denying their power over me. I affirm the divine ideas of faith and strength. They flourish in my consciousness and become the beliefs that reflect the truth of my being.

Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out, “I believe; help my unbelief!”—Mark 9:23-24

Let Go Let God Be Peace

Centered In God, I Am A Peaceful Presence.

Stepping away from the busyness of holiday preparations and the important work that must be completed before year’s end, I continue my Advent journey by practicing peace in the present moment wherever I am. I am gracious with store clerks and servers in restaurants. I add positive, peaceful thoughts to conversations. When I’m traveling, I bless other drivers with whom I share the road and my fellow passengers on public transportation. Peace flows from that place in consciousness where God’s presence fills my awareness. I need not find a quiet corner. When I am willing, anywhere can be a peaceful sanctuary. The peace of God refreshes me and goes with me as I return to the activities of the day. Wherever I go, whatever I’m doing, I am a peaceful presence.

May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!—Psalm 29:11

Let Go Let God Trust Divine Order

As I Pray With Others, I Trust The Unfolding Of Divine Order.

I remember the many ways divine order has been at work in my life. Looking back on my more challenging periods when I was desperate for a resolution, I can see in retrospect the perfection with which the situation unfolded and ultimately resolved. I recall those times now when I see a dear one struggling in a similar way. Rather than give in to worry, I trust divine order is at work in their life, just as it is in mine. Understanding this, I pray with them, but not for a specific result. I pray affirming divine order and the patience to allow it to unfold. I pray that my dear ones receive the grace of unexpected blessings and the deep serenity of knowing God is with and within them.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”—John 8:12

Let Go Let God Have Compassion

Blessed With Divine Love, I Live A Life Of Compassion.

Having compassion for another blesses them, of course, but it also blesses me. I feel called to be with those who come to me for a listening ear or a comforting word. When I extend my hands to them in service, I lift them up with my support. I do this mindfully, careful to have compassion for myself. There is wisdom in realizing that one cannot be all things to all people and taking time in prayer to ask, What is mine to do? I receive guidance in prayerful silence and live my prayer through acts of care and compassion. I believe the highest and best outcomes are unfolding, for me and everyone else. By acting with compassion and seeking to be of service, I am helping bring those outcomes about.

As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.—Colossians 3:12

Let Go Let God Restore Vitality

I Live From My Divine Spirit With Zeal And Excitement.

There are bound to be times when my mind and body feel weary or in need of rest. To keep the channels of divine energy flowing, I listen to my body’s messages. I care for myself by eating right, exercising, and getting plenty of sleep. As I rest, waves of healing and regeneration restore me to vitality. I have a well of perpetual life, strength, power, and zeal at my core. I access and exercise these divine attributes anytime by living from my indwelling Christ presence, my true nature. Each day is an opportunity to seize my inner vitality. Before I open my eyes, gratitude fills me, invigorating my mind and body. Deep breaths refresh me, as I feel the flow of life streaming through me. Appreciating the fullness of my vitality, I heighten my awareness of God.

Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.—Romans 12:11
