Let Go Let God Respect

I Respect And Honor The Divinity Within Myself And Others.

As I was growing up, I was taught to respect those who were older because they likely had acquired great experience, knowledge, and wisdom. Yet it was not the years of life that commanded respect, but the life lived in those years. There are many who demonstrated tremendous courage as they took on great challenges. Their willingness, daring, and determination deserve respect. They went where others would not go, and did what others would not do. I have reverence for those who came before me. I respect and honor the divinity within those who, through their unique and selfless contributions, have made a better world.

But we appeal to you, brothers and sisters, to respect those who labor among you … esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.—1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

Let Go Let God Claim Inner Peace

Peace Grows Within Me As I Remain Centered In God.

Inner peace, the peace of God that my words can only begin to describe, does not depend on outer circumstances. Peace does not come from any external source; it arises from within me. At a place in consciousness sometimes called the center of my being, peace, like all the qualities of God, waits for me to recognize and claim it. I claim inner peace when I remember the truth that God’s presence is always with me and within me. As I center my awareness in the divine presence within, peace soothes my feelings and restores order to my thoughts. I move through all circumstances with calm assurance. Peace grows within me as I remain centered in God. Every event in my day contributes to the calm peace of my soul.

Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—in peace because they trust in you.—Isaiah 26:3

Let Go Let God Give Comfort

Divine Love Comforts Me.

When I scraped my knee as a child, someone was there to kiss it and soothe my pain. Likewise, anytime I stumble as an adult, I have an inner source of comfort and reassurance. The power of divine love within me shores my spiritual resolve and eases any sadness or sorrow. Divine love gives me strength to go on when I face an unwelcome change. If I’m facing any kind of loss, this power helps me take a new step forward. When a loved one is going through a difficult time, I call upon this comforting love that resides in my heart to guide my words and actions and give the comfort needed. Open to divine love, I view the world differently, bolstered by displays of compassion and kindness and strength within and around me.

This is my comfort in my distress, that your promise gives me life.—Psalm 119:50

Let Go Let God Serve

I Share My Gifts In Service To Others.

The love of God that lives in my heart inspires me to be of service. Today I open my mind to new ideas and the belief that I can make a positive difference. Service can manifest in small ways and have a large effect. Acts of service carry with them a consciousness of oneness with others, with nature, with God. If I question my ability to make a difference, I remember what it feels like when someone helps me. A connection occurs, a lifting of spirit, a feeling of warmth. I look for new ways to serve. It could be through prayer, smiles, errands, monetary contributions, the sharing of food, deep listening—the list goes on. Service is love in action and a wonderful way to share my divine gifts.

Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.—1 Peter 4:10

Let Go Let God Behold The Glorious

Today I Look For The Good And Find The Glory And Grace Of God.

There is glorious beauty in the world in the hearts and souls of all people. Today I place my attention on this magnificence, and as I do, I am immersed in bliss. When I shift my focus to all that is positive in my life, my heart opens to peace and my spirit lifts. I behold the glorious activity of Spirit in the abundant beauty of nature: the majesty of a rainbow or the soft ribbons of color that paint the sky at sunrise and sunset, birds’ songs, the fresh air after a rain, and the fragrance of a flower garden. I give thanks for the activity of Spirit within all people that prompts them to care, to share, to give, to check on the well-being of their neighbor, and to come together in the spirit of fellowship. This is the glory of God.

On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.—Psalm 145:5

Let Go Let God Follow Guidance

I Follow The Guidance Of My Heart.

Sometimes the plights of others and the state of the world tug at my heartstrings. I may feel moved by compassion and wish to reach out, to help, or even just to share an encouraging word. This urge is my heart’s guidance, the love of God flowing freely and manifesting through me to do its work in the world. I heed my heart’s powerful guidance. I answer the call I discern within myself to care and be of help however I can. When I attune myself deeply to my heart’s wisdom, my guidance becomes clear. I no longer fret over whether I’ll find the right words to say or wonder what I should do to be of comfort or service. I am a channel of God’s love and care, guided by the wisdom of my heart to be a force for good in the world.

This is God, our God forever and ever. He will be our guide forever.—Psalm 48:14

Let Go Let God Express Boldness

I Express My Authentic Self With Confidence.

There may have been times in my past when I believed I had to hide myself or pretend to be someone I wasn’t just to feel accepted, to fit in. Today I realize I don’t need to conform to anyone else’s idea of who I should be because I know I am a divine being, a child of God, and I am everything I need to be. With boldness and quiet confidence, I show up in the world as my truest self, to share openly and truthfully, to pursue my passions, and to express myself unapologetically. I face my challenges boldly. I need not shrink from daunting situations because I am endowed with the love, strength, and wisdom of God, all aspects of my divine inheritance. I travel the path of my life with confidence.

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord.—Psalm 31:24

Let Go Let God Forgive

Forgiveness Flows Freely From Me.

Forgiveness becomes natural when I commit to its practice. In the past, I may have struggled to forgive, especially if I was caught up in thoughts about who was right and who was wrong or how something or someone should have been. I practice forgiveness to free myself from the burden of blame. I move through my life more lightly because I regularly release the heavy weight of resentment. I want to experience the best parts of life—joy, love, peace—and forgiveness helps me do that. Like rising above thick, gray clouds to find the blue sky, forgiveness helps me take a higher view of circumstances and gives me clarity. Even if I feel sad or angry, a willingness to forgive helps me overcome those feelings and return to the peace of God.

Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone.—Mark 11:25

Let Go Let God Through Faith

My Faith Keeps Me Focused On God.

I may not be able to control what happens around me, but I am always free to choose what happens within me. My perception determines my experience. I begin with faith. I choose to see the vibrant wholeness that is present even during illness. I open my heart and mind to the harmony that I know is possible even in the midst of apparent discord. When my needs appear greater than my resources, I remind myself all supply springs forth from the inexhaustible well of divine substance. I am reassured by remembering all situations are temporary and God is greater than every circumstance. Through my faith, I align my thoughts with the Divine and believe in this truth that sets me free.

If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea,” and it would obey you.—Luke 17:6

Let Go Let God Nurture

By Caring For Myself, I Am Able To Care For Others.

With love and care, I give nurturing attention to those in my life. But I would not be able to do that if I did not give nurturing care to myself. I withdraw from the busyness of the day to rest. I breathe in and feel the gentle life of Spirit filling my lungs and calming my mind. I nurture my mind by taking time to learn. I nurture my body with activity and nourishment that promote strength and energy. I nurture my spiritual growth with inspirational material and by holding positive, productive thoughts. I see myself as a loving, deserving child of Spirit. I am replenished in the strength, energy, and patience I need to be a nurturing presence in the lives of all who rely upon me.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.—Matthew 11:29

Let Go Let God With Clarity

I Have The Clarity Of Spiritual Vision.

In the Book of Acts, Saul of Tarsus—a persecutor of early Christians—was traveling on the road to Damascus when a light from heaven flashed around him, blinding him. The voice of Jesus called out to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” After three days, his sight was restored, and he, with the clarity of spiritual vision, began to share Jesus’ teachings through his travel and writings. I see myself in this story. Sometimes I may become so immersed in dispiriting practices and behaviors that I become blind to the blessings and beauty in front of me. When I engage the world with love instead of fear, I more easily behold the Christ within myself and all others.

He laid his hands on Saul and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way here, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”—Acts 9:17

Let Go Let God Be Friendly

I Enjoy Being Friendly.

The world is made brighter when people reach out in kindness and love. Today I make a commitment to brighten my corner of the world by being friendly. It takes only a moment to share a caring word or considerate act, but it can completely change someone’s day. When I get preoccupied with my thoughts, I remind myself that I want to be a welcoming person. I become open and responsive to the world around me. My openhearted nature is inspirational. I share a laugh and start a chain reaction of joy. I show interest in someone and encourage them to share. Through my openness and welcoming nature, I invite those around me to express their friendliness.

He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?—Micah 6:8

Let Go Let God Change Perspective

In Changing My Perspective, I Find My Good.

How will I greet this day? By the simple act of asking this question, I remind myself that I have a choice. My power of perspective gives me the ability to focus on possibility and hopefulness. Feeling bogged down or overwhelmed is a sure signal I could benefit from changing my perspective. I return to my spiritual center, placing God first in all areas of my life. From this elevated perspective, I feel calm and centered. My perspective directs my attention and informs my thoughts. My shift in perspective begins inwardly, as I fill my consciousness with positive thoughts. Before long, my outer world will reflect those thoughts. My shift in perspective has led me to discover a world made new.

She said to her husband, “Look, I am sure that this man who regularly passes our way is a holy man of God.”—2 Kings 4:9

Let Go Let God Be Blessed

I Bless Others And Am Blessed In Return.

I am abundantly blessed, and one of the best ways to deeply feel my appreciation for all the good in my life is by blessing others. Today I commit to seeing others with new eyes. I behold all people as divine beings, unconditionally deserving of my kindness and respect. With a grateful heart, I shower them with blessings of peace and prosperity. Speaking words of blessing is powerful, a way to appreciate the presence of people in my life. Blessing others also blesses me, keeping my thoughts focused on the divinity all people share and our kinship as children of God. I go forth into my day with this prayer in my heart: I bless you as I am blessed. I give thanks for you—your life, your love, and everything that makes you the person you are.

You bestow on him blessings forever; you make him glad with the joy of your presence.—Psalm 21:6

Let Go, Let God

I Do What Is Mine To Do, And Then I Let Go.

I am grateful for the gift of discernment that helps me realize when to hold on—when to keep trying, planning, working—and when to let go. There is time for the activity of the world, and there is time for the activity of Spirit. My task is to recognize when I have reached the limits of my efforts. With a full heart and a clear mind, I feel complete in my work. I release the need for outcomes and desires and know that all will be resolved in its time. I am grateful to give my concerns, my plans, and even my dreams over to the Divine within, that part of me that is one with God. I give thanks for divine order and the peace of mind it gives me. I let go and let God, grateful that the Divine moves through me and expresses as me.

Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.—1 Peter 5:7

Let Go Let God With Strength

Divine Strength Invigorates My Body And Quickens My Mind.

If I feel my energy waning during a time of vigorous physical or mental activity, if my get-up-and-go has got up and gone, I remember these inspiring words from “The Prayer of Faith” by Hannah More Kohaus: “God is my strength, unfailing, quick.” The strength of God is my strength, and it’s more than sufficient to meet my every need. More than toughness or forcefulness, spiritual strength is quiet fortitude, a rootedness in the inexhaustible wellspring of the Divine. Today I release all thought of weakness or impossibility. I feel the power of divine strength flowing through me, invigorating my body and bringing renewed clarity to my thoughts. The strength of God is my strength.

For God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God's weakness is stronger than human strength.—1 Corinthians 1:25

Let Go Let God Contribute To World Peace

I Am A Peacemaker.

My quest for world peace begins in my mind and heart. Before I take in the energies and events of the world around me, I pause to relax my body, visualize a beautiful scene, or simply be aware of my breath—I choose what I know to be centering for me. I expand my practice to imagine peaceful moments like these coalescing and lifting the collective energy on this planet. My peaceful vibration is with me always. As a peacemaker, I search for opportunities to encourage others, to ease their concerns, and to uplift them. From a place of deep calm and balance within myself, I treat all others as kindred children of God. Through my kind words and loving acts, I generate the peaceful feelings that ultimately contribute to peace in the world.

Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.—Romans 14:19

Let Go Let God Be Free

I Am Free To Reach For The Stars.

Today I celebrate my freedom to be exactly who I am. In all the world, there is no one exactly like me. My talents, traits, and passions are uniquely my own and are the tools I need to fulfill my purpose and reach my potential. I build on that foundation and am free to dream big dreams and make bold plans and reach for all that life has to offer. With compassion for myself, I search my mind to discover whether I have limited my freedom by believing that I may not have what it takes to live the life of my dreams. I shift my focus from the matters of the outer world and align myself with the spiritual world, the world of pure freedom. I am grateful for my freedom and for the gifts of life, hope, and dreams.

For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.—Ephesians 2:10

Let Go Let God In The Calm

Calm Envelops Me As I Rest In The Peace Of God.

There is a place beyond thought, beyond action, a place of perfect peace and calm. Quiet contemplation leads me to this place, where I feel a peace that is beyond words. Here, my mind and heart rest in the presence and power of God. I relax as my desire to know this presence beckons, calls me into its embrace, and cradles me in deep, sweet bliss. Everything else falls away until I am one with this calming presence, the peace of God. As I bring my attention back to the present, I carry my newfound calm with me. I slow the rhythm of my life, settle my thoughts, and more easily feel the presence of the Divine. I am comforted knowing I am never separate from God. The peace of God is my peace, forever.

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.—Philippians 4:6

Let Go Let God Protect

I Am Loved And Protected As I Rest In God.

If I am surprised by a sudden storm, I seek protection from the elements. Shielding myself from the wind and rain, I take cover until the storm passes. Whenever the storms of life begin to swirl, I find my protection in my awareness of God. I begin by turning my focus inward and quieting my mind. I may place my hand gently over my heart, breathing in the radiant energy of divine love and life as I recall the words of James Dillet Freeman’s “Prayer for Protection”: “The power of God protects me; the presence of God watches over me.” No matter how fierce or unrelenting the storms of life, I find my protection in God, my source of strength and security. I rest soundly, abiding in this truth: Wherever I am, God is.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.—Psalm 46:1

Let Go Let God With A Vibrant Spirit

My Vibrancy Keeps Me Engaged in Life.

The colors of a rainbow reflected against shimmering, sparkling water create a vibrancy greater than either would have by themselves. Sunlight dancing upon a dew-dappled leaf creates vibrant color and motion that makes the whole earth seem more alive. Voices raised together in song create vibrant harmony, rich and exhilarating. My awareness of my oneness with God brings about a similar vibrancy, a depth and a truth I would not be able to reach through my senses alone. The vibrancy of spiritual communion changes me inwardly. My mind’s activity is quickened, my soul is fed, and my heart is filled. Outwardly, I am freshly aglow with the love of God, which I feel flowing freely through me, filling me with the vibrancy of divine life.

Let his flesh become fresh with youth; let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.—Job 33:25

Let Go Let God Realize Divine Order

The Changes I Wish To See Must Begin With Me.

How many times have I wished that my life could be different? How many times have I prayed for more harmonious relationships, greater peace of mind, more robust health, or deeper satisfaction in my life? Today I realize that all the changes I wish to see start with me at the level of my thinking. As I focus on harmony, peace, wholeness, and joy, these thoughts begin to flower in my consciousness. I remain engaged with the world as it is, yet attuned to a more enduring spiritual reality. In time, I notice that my outer world is reflecting my inner state because I am creating my life from the inside out. Through the power of divine order I bring my dreams to vivid life.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.—Romans 12:2

Let Go Let God Share Motherly Love

I Give Thanks For Motherly Love.

God’s love, expressing through my mother, gave me life. God’s love, wisdom, and strength guided her and all those who nurtured me as I grew. My words of praise and gratitude let me show my mother how much I appreciate her. When I wish to demonstrate my appreciation for my mother’s example, I share the nurturing, motherly love of God in my words and actions with all people. Remembering the times when my mother or another compassionate person listened patiently and shared encouraging words, I seek to be a caring, supportive presence. Recalling my mother’s joy each time I learned something new, I share my skills and knowledge willingly when someone seeks my help. In gratitude, I share the gift of nurturing love.

As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you.—Isaiah 66:13

Let Go Let God Be Positive

My Positive Attitude Colors My World.

I am the master of my life and moods. I use affirmations and visualization to generate the vibration and energy of powerful words and images. As I speak affirmative, enlivening statements, my attitude becomes more and more positive. I also visualize successful outcomes as I declare these statements of faith, reinforcing my positive focus. I am unlimited with the freedom of Spirit. Now, I envision that liberating energy within me. God in me is my source. I center myself in radiant light. I am gently loved and freely loving. I see my heart expanding as I remind myself of the value of my precious self. Through this powerful imagery, I align with my new, positive outlook. The spiritual being that I AM guides my thoughts and feelings.

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy.—Psalm 126:2

Let Go Let God Weave

I Weave The Tapestry Of My Life.

My life is like an intricate tapestry. There are threads of all kinds, of various colors and textures. Woven together, they create a design unlike any other, a beautiful and ever-evolving work of art. The decisions I make and the actions I take are the tapestry’s colors and textures. Together, they create a pattern that is uniquely mine. The dark, tattered threads of the tough times are woven with rich, vibrant strands of unlimited possibility. The end of one thread is tied to the beginning of another in an ongoing creation. God is within each thread. I am grateful for my faith that helps me believe in possibility and for my imagination, which fuels my vision. I weave my life into a most beautiful masterpiece.

All the skillful women spun with their hands, and brought what they had spun in blue and purple and crimson yarns and fine linen.—Exodus 35:25

Let Go Let God Pray For Others

I Am Honored To Pray For Others.

As I enter into a sacred time of prayer for others, I commit to holding all situations in the light of Spirit. If I ever lose my calm after learning of a loved one’s personal challenge, I center myself before continuing my prayers. I breathe mindfully, inhaling peace. I relax, exhaling all feelings of concern or worry. With a heightened awareness of God’s presence, my heart is at ease and my prayer energy is magnified. I affirm that solutions are unfolding in ways that will bless, heal, and prosper those I hold in my heart. Gratitude fills me as I conclude my prayer time. Praying for others is my sacred honor. My prayers make a difference in the world, and I am blessed in that knowledge.

For God, whom I serve with my spirit by announcing the gospel of his Son, is my witness that without ceasing I remember you always in my prayers.—Romans 1:9

Let Go Let God Choose Joy

The Light And Love Of God Is My Joy.

All people are meant to feel joy and delight in life. Smiles, laughter, and deep happiness all spring from joy that is ours by divine right. Reasons for happiness may come and go, but the joy in which those experiences are rooted is an enduring spiritual truth. Joy is essential to my divine identity as a child of God. I can keep joy alive every time I breathe and smile. I bring to mind the people and experiences that enliven and inspire me. I know that there is an underlying opportunity for me to focus on all that brings joy to me and to others. True joy comes from my openness to the activity of God in my life. God’s love, light, energy, and zeal in me are among my greatest gifts. I remember this and choose joy.

I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.—John 15:11

Let Go Let God Feel Secure

I Am Secure In My Oneness With God.

I am one with God, and this connection is my eternal protection. Worldly measures may afford me some security, but my unity with God provides me a deeper, lasting experience of safety. When I remember and live this truth, I feel reassured and at peace. When worries creep into my mind, I can ease fearful thoughts and feelings by turning to the Divine within. Speaking affirmations reminds me I am safe in my oneness with Spirit. In prayer, I reconnect with the part of myself that is securely united with God. I give myself an experience of this oneness and the protection it provides me through peaceful and centering meditation. The more I commit to these practices that center my mind and feelings in the enduring presence of Spirit, the more secure I feel.

I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.—Psalm 16:8

Let Go Let God Affirm Healing

I Am Healed Through The Power Of God Within Me.

I affirm that God’s perfect life is the vitalizing power that heals me. To feel this healing power deeply, I visualize divine energy and light filling every cell of my body. I feel the vital vibration of healing energy moving freely as the life force in me. In the flow of God, my body aligns with the healing life within every cell. I relax into the current of divine love. The presence of God within me is my healing power, and this realization helps me know my divine wholeness. I keep this realization alive in my heart by strengthening and drawing forth my divine essence through this faith-filled affirmation: The vitalizing power of God is filling every cell of my body. I am aglow with healing energy and am perfectly, wonderfully made. I am whole.

The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.—Job 33:4

Let Go Let God Discover Grace

The Grace Of God Is Alive In Me.

I don’t need to do anything to earn or deserve the grace of God because it is always present, mine to claim in any situation. Grace dawns in my awareness as soon as I move beyond the limits of my human understanding. I let go and let the peace, love, wisdom, and strength of God fill me, lift me, and guide me. In both the challenging and the ordinary moments of life, the grace I give and the grace I receive keep the awareness of God in my heart. During a tough conversation, a thought comes to mind that helps reestablish harmony. As I mull an important decision, a fresh insight clarifies my thinking. Feeling overwhelmed by my to-do list, I feel renewed energy and move forward with strength and enthusiasm. In these moments and more, I discover grace anew.

From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.—John 1:16

Let Go Let God Celebrate Prosperity

I Live In A World Of Abundance.

Today I focus on everything in my life that makes me prosperous. So much more than material security, prosperity is the peace that comes from the knowledge that God is my Source. When I keep this truth uppermost in my mind, my awareness of my prosperity grows. My relationships with family and friends show me I am rich in love. My talents and my interests lead me to abundant opportunities to learn and grow. And the divine ideas I claim in my prayer time give me the most precious awareness of prosperity—the knowledge that I create my world through the power of my thoughts. With a grateful heart, I celebrate every manifestation of prosperity in my mind, my heart, and my world.

For to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance.—Matthew 25:29
