Let Go Let God Be Protected

I Find My Protection In The Light Of Faith And Truth.

I smile and act frightened as I recognize the neighborhood children who come to my door wearing scary masks and costumes. Children of all ages enjoy playing make-believe. Pretend fright is part of the fun of Halloween. Now and then, in response to an unexpected and unwelcome challenge, more serious thoughts of fear seep into my mind and upset my emotional well-being. At the first hint of unease, I remember that all of the protecting power of God is as near as my next thought. I say no to fear and yes to faith. My confidence grows as I practice the divine presence, discovering not only the protecting power, but also the guiding love and wisdom of God everywhere I go and in everything I do.

For who is God except the Lord? And who is a rock besides our God?—the God who girded me with strength, and made my way safe.—Psalm 18:31-32

Let Go Let God Find Inner Peace

I Live A Peaceful Life.

The storms of life sometimes leave me thinking I am caught in the swirling winds of a hurricane, trying to steady myself and keep my footing. Today I remember that at the center of every hurricane is the eye, a place of perfect stillness. I find my peace in this serene center and return to it whenever I need to still my mind and calm my feelings. With practice, I begin to live my life from this place of perfect calm and tranquility. No matter how hard the winds of life may blow, I return to my center again and again to find a place of perfect peace. I bless all others with my peaceful bearing and kind deeds. Peace grows within my mind and heart as I share it. I am ever mindful that I am one with Spirit and with all people.

Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them stumble.—Psalm 119:165

Let Go Let God Believe

I Believe In The Power Of My Words And Thoughts.

Matthew’s gospel tells the story of a Roman military officer who comes to Jesus seeking healing for his seriously ill servant. When Jesus offers to visit the officer’s home for the healing, the officer responds “only speak the word, and my servant will be healed.” Like the officer, I appreciate the power of words and thoughts. The way I think and speak show me what I believe and how I direct my faith. My beliefs and faith shape my life experience. If, even after careful planning and preparation, I feel uncertain of my ability to successfully complete a task or project, I bring my attention back to my words and thoughts. I believe all of the wisdom, power, love, and strength of God express through me. With faith, I speak this truth and move ahead with confidence.

Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you according to your faith.”—Matthew 8:13

Let Go Let God Pray For Others

I Pray For The Highest Good For All People.

Praying for others is a sacred trust. I prepare myself for prayer by clearing my mind of chatter and uncertainty. Calmness, concentration, and belief in the power of prayer are all parts of my practice. Praying with deep conviction allows me to surrender all concerns. I relax into absolute faith that all things are possible with God, which is always a prayer for the highest good. I behold the presence of God in those for whom I pray. I lift my thoughts and vision to see them whole, healthy, prosperous, and their every need being met. If my thoughts drift to their challenges or hardships, I gently bring myself back to the positive energy of prayer. I refocus and with gratitude claim the life, wisdom, and power of God in all people.

When I remember you in my prayers, I always thank my God.—Philemon 1:4

Let Go Let God Soar

I Rise Above Limitation And Soar To New Heights.

I watch a hawk ride the thermals, its wings spread wide and floating with ease on the air currents. As it soars across the sky, I admire this majestic expression of its divine nature. I, too, have the power to soar as I live from my divine nature. I feel my inner power. I spread my spiritual wings and ascend to new heights of confidence and self-worth. I have the innate ability to do what I need to do when I need to do it. Bolstered by my inner wisdom and power, I rise above thoughts of limitation. I greet change with grace. I face any challenge with faith and calmness. I accomplish my goals, buoyed by my spiritual identity. Anytime I need a reminder of my spiritual strength and capacities, I recall the hawk and remember I have the power to soar to new perspectives.

If I ascend to heaven, you are there.—Psalm 139:8

Let Go Let God Give

I Give Freely And With Love.

Spiritual leaders teach the importance of giving, helping the underserved, and encouraging the disheartened. It is not the measurable quantity of what I give, but the spirit with which I give that matters most. The love I feel multiplies my giving, and it expands in ever-widening circles of blessings. My gifts may inspire the recipient to give something as simple as a smile, a kind word of encouragement, or a thoughtful gesture. My gifts return to bless my life in unexpected ways. I give with love with no expectation of return from the recipient. I broaden my perspective, mindful that the good I share will return to me at the perfect time in the perfect way.

He said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them; for all of them have contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in all she had to live on.”—Luke 21:3-4

Let Go Let God Discover Divine Order

Divine Order Shows Me The Presence Of God.

“Do you need me? I am there.” These words, written by poet James Dillet Freeman, remind me that the presence of God is within and around me every moment, bringing order and peace to my world. I open my mind and heart to this divine energy and become more mindful of its activity. I discover the order of nature in the changing of the seasons, the glory of the tree leaves in transition, and cyclic ocean tides. I find intricate order in the masterful work of my body as it functions to keep me healthy. I am grateful for the constant presence of order. If I ever need a reminder of it, I simply turn within and recall the words, “I am there.” In all ways, I am blessed by the magnificence of divine order.

See, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for me?—Jeremiah 32:27

Let Go Let God With Passion

My Purpose Fuels My Passion.

Purpose sets my heart aflame with passion. Each day, I awaken ready to answer the call of my heart, to give my best efforts and fullest attention to purposeful activity. Passion is the energy I bring to everything I do. I discover the glory of God through passion. As I do the things that make me feel the most alive—that fill me with energy and zeal and color the world with hope and promise—I recognize the divine presence behind it all. God is the source of all the passion I feel and the purpose that drives me. My passion is not for me alone. The life energy that radiates from me inspires those around me to live a life of purpose and passion, to boldly express their divinity as only they can.

Whoever speaks must do so as one speaking the very words of God; whoever serves must do so with the strength that God supplies.—1 Peter 4:11

Let Go Let God Be Free

I Am Free To Express The Christ Within Me.

As a spiritual being, I am blessed with all the richness that comes from living a God-centered life. Inner riches include divine love, wisdom, compassion, and joy. All I could ever need to be a perfect manifestation of God is within me. No matter the situation or circumstance, I am free to respond in positive ways. I am free to meet discord with peace and uncertainty with faith. I practice gratitude and make time to uplift others with kind words and acts. There is no limit to the blessings I am free to share. In this way, I fully experience the love and grace of God within me always. I stay centered in Spirit, living from my Christ nature. I rise above all earthly concerns and know the sweetest freedom.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.—2 Corinthians 3:17

Let Go, Let God

Faith And Self-Confidence Grow As I Let Go And Let God.

There are times when all is going smoothly, and then suddenly, I hit a snag. An unexpected event may slow me down or throw me off track. I feel confused about my options or doubtful of my abilities. Where do I turn? Whose advice do I seek? What do I need to do? I take a moment to ask myself what I am holding on to so tightly. What do I fear by letting go? At these times it helps to remember I am never alone. When I feel the most lost—perhaps especially then—I step out in faith and let go and let God. When I do, I am able to trust that the people, circumstances, and ideas I need will come my way. When I let go and let God, I breathe easier as I lean into faith and feel self-confidence grow ever stronger.

The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.—Exodus 14:14

Let Go Let God Dream

My Best Life Begins With Dreams.

I find great power and freedom in my dreams. When my imagination takes flight, I believe everything is possible and I am infinitely capable. My best life begins in the realm of dreams. I boldly imagine what I wish to see manifest. In my mind’s eye, I see myself fulfilled in work, refreshed in play, and joyous in love. So much more than mere fantasy, my dreams inform my mind of my heart’s deepest desires. Thoughts and feelings are made even more powerful when joined with faith in the power of God expressing as my life. As I take action to create the life of my dreams, I also relax and rely on faith to light my path and show me the way.

And he said, “Hear my words: When there are prophets among you, I the Lord make myself known to them in visions; I speak to them in dreams.”—Numbers 12:6

Let Go Let God Offer Forgiveness

I Am Caring For Myself When I Forgive.

When I offer forgiveness to others, I am giving loving care to myself. Through forgiveness, I lighten my emotional load and let go of what does not serve me. My feelings of hurt or anger may be valid, but I am not helping myself by holding on to them. Like a barricade of leaves, sticks, and debris in a river, a buildup of resentment and anger stops the healthy flow of my emotions. Being unwilling to forgive others or myself creates stagnation that holds back any feelings, even joy or gratitude. As I relax and release old hurts, I remove blockades to let my emotions flow. I honor this process and have compassion for myself. Forgiveness creates a lightness in my heart. Newly cleansed, I continue my healing journey.

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. —Proverbs 10:12

Let Go Let God Share Bliss

With Joy And Peace, I Am Blissful.

Watching the sunrise and feeling the promise of a new day envelops me in joy. Seeing the wonders of nature fills my heart to overflowing. Each time I begin the day with exuberance and confidence, I feel refreshed and enlivened. I share my blissful attitude with those around me and feel spirits lift wherever I go. Bliss is much more than simple pleasure. It is a combination of exhilarating joy and tranquil peace. In this blissful state, I stay centered on all the good things in my life. I take care to keep my mind focused on the beauty that surrounds me. In all things, I remain grateful. When I focus on my incredible blessings, bliss is with me wherever I go.

If they listen, and serve him, they complete their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasantness.—Job 36:11

Let Go Let God Affirm Prosperity

Affirming Prosperity, I Give And Receive Freely.

Prosperity is a state of mind. When I know, with absolute faith, that at the level of Spirit I have everything I need, I feel prosperous. I know prosperity is not the money in my bank account but the richness of my love of Spirit, faith in the ever-renewing plenty of God, and willingness to give freely and receive gratefully. Giving from a consciousness of abundance, I bless others’ lives through acts of generosity and loving service. A divine idea, prosperity never diminishes when it is shared. It always and only grows, blessing everyone it touches as the circle of sharing expands.

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.—Luke 6:38

Let Go Let God Contribute To World Peace

I Am A Peaceful Presence To All.

Peace in the world begins with me. I consider it a sacred responsibility to respond to all people and circumstances peacefully. I forgive myself for those moments I am less than peaceful and quickly return to the peace of God in my heart. I am a living expression of God, just as all people are. My tranquil bearing inspires peacefulness wherever I go and with everyone I meet. Each day, I join like-minded people everywhere in a renewed commitment to be a presence of peace. I give thanks that, as each of us communicates God’s love in our unique ways, peace and harmony are established in individuals, families, communities, and among nations throughout the world.

Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.—2 Corinthians 13:11

Let Go Let God Be Eager

I Am Eager And Enthusiastic About Life.

I say Yes! to today. This single, simple word opens my mind and heart to new possibilities. I say Yes! knowing that willingness is the beginning of opportunities to do and be more, to express my divine nature more fully in meaningful ways. When I embark on a new project, I use my zeal and wisdom to approach it with eagerness and enthusiasm. Always willing to do more and be more, I am not lulled into comfortable routines. When an opportunity arises to try something new or go somewhere unfamiliar, I say Yes! When I face an obstacle, my eagerness propels me to find a creative solution. Ever enthusiastic, I am never bored. I am eager to greet life!

Then the people rejoiced because these had given willingly, for with single mind they had offered freely to the Lord.—1 Chronicles 29:9

Let Go Let God Through Leadership

I Honor All Upstanding Leaders And Am Inspired By Their Example.

Others may look to me for guidance, support, and direction. Whether I am a parent, a member of a council or board, a manager, a teacher, an older sibling, or simply one who lives among others, I strive to make a difference through my leadership. Today I remember those whose leadership inspired me to be a better person. Each one affected my life in a positive way, and I make a commitment to emulate them. Jesus and other spiritual teachers drew inspiration from their relationship with God. Following their example, I take time to listen to Spirit within. God is my guide as I counsel others, pray for others, and lead others. God is my strength.

Remember your leaders, those who spoke the word of God to you; consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.—Hebrews 13:7

Let Go Let God Feel Grace

I Give Thanks For The Grace Of God That Fills My Heart And Life.

Grace is the activity of God providing good for all people. When I recognize grace, I feel loved, cared for, and filled with the strength and resources necessary to overcome any obstacle. Grace manifests in many ways. Sometimes it’s an unexpected blessing. Other times it is gentle guidance that prompts me to reach out to someone in need. Or grace may be the desire to finally let go of past conflict and forgive old resentments. Grace is a feeling and a faith, a wonder and a privilege. I share grace by looking for ways to bless others, which may be as simple as a smile or a listening ear. In turn, I receive grace by being mindful of the blessings that fill my life.

Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.—Hebrews 4:16

Let Go Let God Be Active

I Am Active With The Life Of God.

All life is dynamic, always in motion, progressing and becoming. My life is no different. The very life that animates my body and mind is always active, prompting me to grow and become, to move toward the next experience that will increase and deepen my understanding of myself. When I am active in body and mind, I create space for a greater experience of life and of God. I am open and receptive to the divine energy that surrounds me and circulates within me. My activity brings my unique energy into the world. Through the activity of my hands, I create and serve. Through the activity of my mind, I learn and share what I’ve come to understand. Through the activity of my heart, I care, connect, and love.

For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.—Psalm 36:9

Let Go Let God Find Comfort

I Am One With The Presence Of Peace.

I find the greatest comfort when I am filled with the awareness of oneness with God, the enduring presence of love and peace. Fully attuned to God’s presence, I discover new strength to move forward from any loss or unexpected change. God’s comforting presence surrounds me. My heart is bolstered by the lilting song of a bird or the brilliant colors of changing leaves. I find solace in the rhythmic gurgling of a stream. I relish the blending of soft colors at sunset. God’s love touches the depths of my heart, and I am grateful for the compassionate words and kind actions of those who feel moved to offer comfort. In all its many forms, God’s love comforts me.

It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.—Deuteronomy 31:8

Let Go Let God Pray For Inclusion

All People Are One In God.

I live in a world of magnificent diversity, filled with people of many backgrounds, cultures, and faiths. Even as I celebrate and learn from our differences, I also look beyond them to behold all people as members of one family, united in God. Today I bless all the world’s people with a prayer of inclusion. I see others as I see myself—an expression of God. I pray that all feel appreciated and welcomed everywhere. I pray they extend that appreciation and welcoming to all others. I pray each person knows a world that accepts them as they are and invites their unique contributions to our shared life. I pray that inclusion creates waves of unity that span the globe, blessing us all.

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God.—Ephesians 2:19

Let Go Let God Know Joy

A Growing Awareness Of God's Presence Is My Greatest Gift.

Awakening from a restful sleep, I give thanks for the new day and all the people who will be part of it. Although I cannot know what will happen as this day unfolds, I remind myself that everything and everyone might lead me to a deeper awareness of God. This growing awareness is my greatest joy. Even if the day includes less than happy experiences, I will know the quiet joy and comforting strength of the peaceful presence of God that is with me always. I will rejoice today in being alive, able to think, to feel, to appreciate the sights, sounds, and aromas that fill my environment. I will discover joy anew as I recognize each person I meet today as a unique expression of the wonder of God.

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.—Psalm 118:24

Let Go Let God Trust

In All Things, I Put My Trust In God.

Few things are as comforting as being able to trust completely. Trust means I can relax, knowing I will be supported on my journey. When I trust, I feel comfortable trying new things and taking chances, believing that even if I trip I’ll have help getting up again. I have known trust with some of my family, favorite teachers, colleagues, and friends. I treasure their encouraging words and steadfast presence that helped me grow into the person I am today. But even as people have come and gone, God within me and all around me has remained the steadiest, most enduring presence. I am no longer troubled by the changing world and the impermanence of things because I trust God is with me always.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts.—Psalm 28:7

Let Go Let God Know Friendship

I Am Grateful For My Friends.

I give thanks today for my friends. My friendships are among the great gifts of my life, sources of fun during my easiest times and support during my toughest. Friends accept me just as I am, and their understanding gives me room to grow and change. Friends are the family I choose, and the ties that bind us help give life meaning—a history with memories I can treasure and a future I know will be full of love. I let my friends know what they mean to me by responding in kind. I am supportive when friends are struggling and share their sorrows when they’re hurting. I delight in their joys and love to celebrate their blessings. Throughout all the seasons of life, I am as dependable, present, and accepting as a good friend can be.

For your steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in faithfulness to you.—Psalm 26:3

Let Go Let God Trust Inner Guidance

I Trust My Guidance And Feel Peaceful And Comforted.

The best way I can distinguish inner guidance from the activity of a busy mind is to notice my feelings. When faced with a decision, do I feel anxious and fearful? Calm and peaceful? Do I feel uneasy and apprehensive or do I feel excited and eager? I trust that feelings are signals showing me my true path, inspired by inner guidance. I may consider the opinions of others, facts and other data, and my personal history when making choices. Each has its place in the decision-making process, but none is more important than inner guidance. I remember times when I felt guided to make an unlikely choice, how I trusted my inner voice to lead me in new directions. Today I renew my trust and again follow my guidance.

You are indeed my rock and my fortress; for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.—Psalm 31:3

Let Go Let God Be Blessed

I Am Blessed To Be A Child Of God.

My very life is a blessing that I receive anew every day. Today I count my many blessings and feel grateful for all the good in my life. I am grateful for the life that animates my body and inspires my mind, and for the love that fills my heart. There are no greater blessings than these, from which all other blessings spring. I am blessed with free will to choose how I respond to events, what I wish to learn, how I choose to serve, and what I choose to give. My opportunities are plentiful and I make the most of them by living robustly. With my many blessings uppermost in my mind, I set the intention to use my gifts to serve as a blessing in the lives of others.

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.—Jeremiah 17:7

Let Go Let God Promote Healing

I Claim Health And Wholeness For Myself.

With loving attention, I do as much as I can to preserve and promote my health. Life becomes easier, fuller, and more enjoyable when I respond to my body’s needs with proper rest, exercise, and nutrition. I care for my emotional life by spending time in prayer and meditation and seeking out like-minded people who uplift and support me. Through awareness of God, I have the power to identify and break old habits that do not benefit my health. I have the strength to persevere in faith through any challenge and claim wholeness. I have the divine judgment to make choices that are good for my mind and body, and the divine strength to stay the course and maintain my willpower.

I am going to bring it recovery and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.—Jeremiah 33:6

Let Go Let God Bless All Animals

I Am Thankful For And Respectful Toward All Animals.

The creation story in Genesis specifies a day when God made animals of every kind and proclaimed it good. Today I make my own proclamation by extending a blessing to the animal kingdom. I am thankful for all animals, from playful companions to service animals helping people live independently, to the magnificent array of wildlife around me. I act responsibly toward all animals and honor their integral place in the world. I give thanks for animal friends, those who are lovable companions and those whose chance sightings thrill my heart. Through love, care, and respect, I bless all animals.

God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind. And God saw that it was good.—Genesis 1:25

Let Go Let God Through Faith

Through Faith, I Create The Good I Desire.

Faith is my guiding light. It keeps me hopeful when I’m tempted to doubt and cheerful when I might otherwise feel gloomy. Faith tells me that even when the sky appears cloudy, the sun is still shining brightly above the clouds. Faith gives me a secure footing in the present as I plan for the future. Faith is the assurance that I am never alone, that everything I dream and do is divinely inspired. Every step I take in the direction of my aspirations is fueled by faith that they can come to pass. All of the wisdom, power, love, and strength of God are mine to express as only I can. Leaving timidity and hesitancy behind, I use these divine attributes boldly and with confidence. Faith shows me the way forward.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.—Hebrews 11:1

Let Go Let God Together

Life Is Made Full Through Togetherness.

I know what it is to be in a crowded place yet feel alone. I also know what it is to be by myself and feel a deep oneness with all people. Today I bring that feeling of connectedness to all of my encounters. Whether with family and friends, coworkers or other acquaintances, I see all people as fellow spiritual beings, as children of God. Taking this perspective everywhere I go, I need never feel alone or lonely, whether in solitude, in the company of one or two others, or even amongst a multitude of people. I look beyond our differing backgrounds, beliefs, and perspectives, and see the human family in all its glorious diversity. One in God, we are together.

By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.—John 13:35

Let Go Let God Be Brave

I Am Brave, Strong, And Faithful.

Bravery does not mean never feeling fear, but it does mean holding on to courage for one moment longer. I take this to heart when I need to find courage in the face of daunting circumstances. As I pause to recall challenges I’ve surmounted, I remember I have always been able to handle whatever came my way, even when I had to summon courage bit by bit. I face more challenging moments with boldness. I am brave, strong, and faith-filled, secure in the knowledge that God within is greater than any problem without. I know this in my mind and I feel it in my heart. I will always be able to summon the fortitude and the determination to bravely face whatever my heart and mind lead me to do.

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage.—Psalm 27:14
