Let Go Let God Smile

I Experience The Joy Of Spirit With Every Smile.

If I’m listening to the sound of laughter, the vibrations have a positive effect on me and I can’t help but smile. Seeing children at play inspires me to tap into my inner joy. I happen upon an act of kindness or a beautiful scene and wear the joy I feel as a smile. Smiling is natural to me and is one of my favorite spiritual tools. A smile can turn a challenging day around. A moment of good cheer can brighten a murky outlook. I take a quiet moment in prayerful contemplation to remember some of the things that make me smile. As I think of those things, my countenance is filled with light, and I am beaming. Joy is a wondrous way to express my divinity. I feel joyful down to my bones, and my cells dance with delight. I feel blessed and I smile!

All the days of the poor are hard, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast.—Proverbs 15:15

Let Go Let God Choose Forgiveness

Empathy And Understanding Are My Keys To Forgiveness.

I feel more empathy for those who have hurt me when I remember times I may have caused hurt myself, the regret I carried, and the relief I felt when I was forgiven. These memories trigger my compassion and make it easier for me to extend forgiveness now. I begin my healing journey by moving my awareness from the thoughts in my head to the love in my heart. I send a wave of understanding and forgiveness gently throughout my body, knowing that just as I am doing the best I can in every moment, everyone else is too. I accept that I can’t change what others say and do. I focus instead on being patient and gentle. As it becomes easier for me to choose forgiveness, I help make the world a more loving, compassionate place.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.—Matthew 5:7

Let Go Let God With Hope And Faith

This Advent, My Hope Leads Me To Unwavering Faith In God.

My belief in goodness—of the world, others, myself, and God—begins with hope. Maybe hope is all I can muster after a period of doubt or disappointment. As I feel hopeful, I begin to believe that new possibilities and better outcomes are available to me. My hopeful feelings lead to faith, a certainty that the goodness I could only sense before is the actual nature of life. With faith, I now direct my thoughts toward goodness, wholeness, and my heart’s desires. With gratitude for my awakening, I use faith to dismantle doubt and limitation. I hold only the best thoughts for myself. I know and feel in the depths of my soul that the good I desire is already mine. With unwavering faith and deep gratitude I claim it now.

For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.—Psalm 62:5

Let Go Let God Have Fun

Fun Keeps My Heart Light.

Today I take a break from work and everything else I need to do. I give myself permission to step back from being busy and just have some fun. Fun can come from anything that warms my heart or tickles my funny bone. Perhaps I am in the mood for a game with friends. Maybe I’d like to tackle a creative pursuit or play with my children or grandchildren. Even reading a book can be a quiet kind of enjoyment. My lighthearted spirit can make any activity fun. I can find it in anything that brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart. My happiness deepens my awareness of God, filling me with enthusiasm and contentment. Enjoying myself means I feel fully in the world and fully in God.

Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.—Ecclesiastes 9:7

Let Go Let God With Inner Peace

The Peace Of God Dwells Within Me.

When life swirls around me and I need a moment of quiet stillness, I center myself on the Christ within to find peace. Should I meet people struggling with troubling circumstances or the trials of daily living, I send them thoughts of assurance from my center of divine calm. Peace manifests as health, prosperity, and joyful relationships. I am a radiating center of peace, blessing everyone I meet. If I encounter a store clerk who seems frazzled by the holiday crowds, I say thank you for meeting the needs of so many people. My peaceful words have power. The more peace I send to others, the more I have for myself. During all the storms of life, serenity and tranquility are mine.

Thus you shall salute him: “Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.”—1 Samuel 25:6

Let Go Let God Be Thankful

I Am Grateful.

My heart is filled with gratitude today—a profound expression of my love and faith. I give thanks for all my blessings, especially family, friends, shelter, and food. I also pause to appreciate everyday blessings, letting no small thing go unnoticed. I don’t need to wait for a special day to give thanks. Gratitude is a way of life, a commitment I make to find the good in all situations, to focus my attention on those things I wish to see manifest. As I express gratitude for everything I have and everything I hope to receive, I open the door to abundant blessings. I pray in faith and gratitude, living in blissful certainty of blessings still to come.

He took the seven loaves, and after giving thanks he broke them and gave them to his disciples to distribute; and they distributed them to the crowd.—Mark 8:6

Let Go Let God Prepare

Taking Time To Prepare Is An Act Of Loving Intention.

If I plan to do some entertaining at home, I spend time preparing for my guests’ arrival. This may mean tidying, creating space, and making sure I have enough food. I do this to create a welcoming environment and let my guests know how much I value their presence. I go about my preparations with joy, knowing the loving and deliberate attention I give is a gift to those who will receive it. I bring this sensibility to my spiritual life. I prepare by making time for quiet contemplation. I give myself a serene environment to practice the presence of God. I do not hurry the time I spend in prayer and meditation or let the day’s concerns and activities intrude on my peace. This is the gift I give to myself.

He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.—2 Corinthians 5:5

Let Go Let God Filled With Anticipation

I Am Filled With Joyous Anticipation.

Sometimes I get so caught up in making preparations for a special day or event, I miss out on the joy of anticipation. I may be so busy tending to details or so eager for the day to arrive that I am not fully present to the expectant joy that fills my heart. Today I take a few moments to attune myself to what I am anticipating and why it is important to me. Perhaps I am getting ready to welcome guests into my home or preparing to visit loved ones. Maybe I’m getting ready to celebrate a milestone or just leisurely spend time with family and friends. The moment will arrive soon enough and will likely be over too fast. Mindful anticipation keeps me present to the joy that is on its way.

Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts.—Acts 2:46

Let Go, Let God

With Love And Compassion I Let Go And Let God.

Letting go is not giving up but engaging fully with the dynamic power of God. I give true support and compassion to others by releasing troubling concerns and aligning with the innate potential for good already within them. The most supportive action I can take is to affirm my faith and trust that the healing, prospering power of God is already theirs. This is true for me as well. When I let go of any need for control, I open myself to new answers. I relax, feeling confident the perfect solutions are unfolding for every circumstance. I release any habits of thinking or behavior that lead to worry. I release regret and free myself of the memories of past mistakes. I welcome the loving, guiding spirit of God within me to lead me in the direction of my best life.

Let the Lord your God show us where we should go and what we should do.—Jeremiah 42:3

Let Go Let God Discover Grace

Grace Is My Constant Blessing.

I discover grace all around me when I open my eyes, my mind, and my heart to its presence. Grace reminds me that God’s love is active everywhere and at every moment. Grace can be as quiet as a whisper. It’s in the love I hear in the voice of someone dear and in the warmth and tenderness of a comforting touch. Grace is in the heartfelt welcome I receive when invited into a friend’s home. It’s the bliss I feel when I know I truly belong. God is the heart of all grace as goodness and kindness in action, always mine to receive and give in kind. My growing awareness inspires me to share this activity of God generously by calling it into expression.

And now I commend you to God and to the message of his grace, a message that is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all who are sanctified.—Acts 20:32

Let Go Let God Be Free

I Am Free And Ready To Grow.

I am free to express my unique self, to be true to the divine guiding light within me. As my awareness of God’s activity in and through me grows, I feel lighter. I see beyond past fears or restraints that caused me to feel limited, and I embrace a new reality. I am filled to overflowing with potential. I behold a new frontier as I venture into this fuller expression of myself. Something in my soul beckons me forward. I explore my gifts, my talents, my dreams. Perhaps an old spark enlivens me, prompting me to pursue a hobby, a path of service, or a learning quest. I delight in newfound possibility and let my joy rise up. I step onto a new path with confidence. I celebrate my freedom with gratitude and eager anticipation.

He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free.—Luke 4:18

Let Go Let God With Zest

I Am Gleefully And Gratefully Alive.

I can make any day extraordinary when I grab each moment with gusto and squeeze every drop of pleasure I can from it. I do this through attention and intention. I engage my senses fully. I delight in the way the sun dances on water and the wind rustles trees. I love the feel of the sun on my face. I relish every bite of food—each sweet and savory sensation. I immerse myself in the dazzling array of sounds I hear. I marvel that my every breath keeps the magnificent machinery of my body alive and thriving. I bless the gift of respiration as I breathe mindfully and gratefully. I am fully present to life, aware and enthusiastic in all circumstances. I greet every day with passion, grateful to bring my zest into the world and share it freely.

You have put gladness in my heart.—Psalm 4:7

Let Go Let God Affirm Protection

I Feel Safe And Secure As I Rest In God.

God, the one power and presence, is always within and around me. Nothing can change this truth. Trusting that God is my eternal protection, I live peacefully. If I feel unsafe or insecure, I recall the “Prayer for Protection.” I affirm that the light of God surrounds me. I walk in safety because the light of God within me guides my footsteps. I give thanks for this indwelling power, my protecting presence. Wherever I am, I feel secure, because I know God and I are one. There is no place where God is not. Wherever I go, God is always with me. I can never be without the presence and security of God. I rest safely in this knowledge.

You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.”—Psalm 91:1-2

Let Go Let God Pray For Others

I Am A Radiant Light As I Pray For Others.

The sacred act of praying for others reaches far beyond me. I envision my prayers as tiny but powerful beams of light traveling from person to person and heart to heart, illuminating minds and lighting the path of peace for everyone. With each prayer, the light of God grows stronger until it surpasses negative thoughts and ideas, becoming the prevalent force throughout the planet. God’s light may be felt as energy for a tired body, peace for an anxious mind, and rest for a weary soul. This light is powerful enough to mend relationships and achieve peace between nations. Today and every day as I pray for others, I give thanks for the light of God that binds all people as members of one family.

We always pray for you, asking that our God will make you worthy of his call and will fulfill by his power every good resolve and work of faith.—2 Thessalonians 1:11

Let Go Let God Embrace Healing

I Claim Wholeness, And I Am Healed.

John’s Gospel tells the story of a man, paralyzed for 38 years, who waits for a healing miracle by a pool outside the Jerusalem temple. When Jesus asks whether he wants to be healed, the man says neither yes nor no, but instead explains how difficult it is for him to make his way to the pool’s healing waters. Jesus, seeing the truth of wholeness even though the man is expressing hopelessness, commands him to stand up and walk. And the man walks! The indwelling Christ presence invites me to look beyond illness and embrace the healing energy that is always quickening every cell of my body. I think and speak life-affirming words. I see my body radiant with the life of God. I say yes to wholeness, and I am healed.

When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”—John 5:6

Let Go Let God Be Filled With Inspiration

Inspiration Fills Me With Hope And Courage.

When I walk on a beach and hear the crashing waves, I feel inspired by the vastness and majesty of the sea. Soft rain or gently falling snow causes feelings of great peace. I find inspiration by the courage of someone who overcame a limitation, or by the love I witness between generations of a family. Beautiful art, music, and literature elevate me. From the humble to the grand, that which inspires me moves my very soul and calls me higher. The essence of all inspiration is Spirit, the source of infinite possibility. My inspiration fills me with hope for the future and courage to express my authentic self. When I boldly step toward a new horizon, I may inspire another person to do the same.

Everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.—2 Timothy 3:17

Let Go Let God Live In Prosperity

Prosperity Fills My Life.

Current flowing through my home’s wiring provides light, but first I must flip the switch to turn it on. Divine substance, the building block of creation, is the source from which my prosperity grows, but first I must claim it in consciousness to live a prosperous life. The divine idea of prosperity is unlimited, more than sufficient to meet every need. I know true prosperity when I live from this truth. Giving freely and generously keeps prosperity at the forefront of my consciousness. I know the more I give, the more of myself I place into circulation, the more I will experience. As I give of myself, I increase the flow of prosperity in my life and in the world.

And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear; the measure you give will be the measure you get, and still more will be given you.”—Mark 4:24

Let Go Let God Create World Peace

I Do My Part To Create A Peaceful World.

There is no situation the power of peace cannot transform. Today I remain mindful that this power is mine. Whenever I find myself praying for a more peaceful world, I remember peace begins within me. I hold peaceful thoughts and perform considerate acts. I look even for small openings to share my loving understanding. Rising above the temptation to judge another, I choose heartfelt compassion instead. Each moment provides me with a new opportunity to choose peace. My tranquil bearing inspires others to act in kind. One by one, we create a peaceful world. Each unsettling circumstance I encounter is an invitation to choose understanding and create harmony. As I do this more and more, I help bring forth the peaceful world I wish to see.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.—Matthew 5:9

Let Go Let God Trust Guidance

I Trust Divine Guidance.

When I need help to make a decision, I listen to the still, small voice of Spirit within for guidance. Recognizing that this spiritual presence is always there fills me with calm and reassurance. There are many ways to connect with Spirit, but the first is by letting go. I must first release the situation I want guidance about. With my human self out of the way, I stop my mind from trying to figure out the answer. After letting go, I can meditate, enjoy some devotional reading, spend time in nature, or do anything that brings me the awareness of God’s love. As I quiet my mind and open my heart, I discern divine guidance. In gratitude and peace, I trust that all is well.

They turn round and round by his guidance, to accomplish all that he commands them on the face of the habitable world.—Job 37:12

Let Go Let God Honor

I Honor Those Who Serve.

Today I feel grateful for the selflessness of those who serve. These dedicated souls are called to place the needs of others beyond their needs, to offer their talents and strengths in the service of those they will likely never meet. Even though they do this with no need of thanks, I am mindful of the time, the effort, and sometimes even the sacrifice it takes to serve others. I bless these dear ones with prayers of safety and protection. I envision them serving with honor and clarity of purpose. I choose to honor them by sending them prayers of gratitude and care, as they continue to answer the call of service.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly.—Psalm 84:11

Let Go Let God Discover Balance

I Attune Myself To My Inner Rhythm And Find My Balance.

Trying to find balance by adapting to outside rhythms may leave me feeling frustrated and out of sync. Today I remember the key to a balanced life is found within myself, not in trying to emulate the practices of those around me. I find balance by taking care of my body and mind. I get the rest I need, seeking the proper mix of socialization and solitude. I pursue my hobbies and make time for fun. I am in spiritual balance when I give myself daily time for prayer, meditation, and my favorite devotional practices. As I pay careful attention to my internal rhythms, I discover perfect balance.

Six days shall work be done; but the seventh day is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work: it is a sabbath to the Lord throughout your settlements.—Leviticus 23:3

Let Go Let God Cherish Life

I Cherish My Life And Make The Most Of It.

My life is mine for the making. I choose how to direct my energy, and I focus on how to prioritize my time. I expect good things to happen but am not derailed if they don’t. I look for whatever I can learn from my struggles. I apologize when warranted, and I stand up for myself when I need to. I seek to learn and grow from unwelcome experiences. I take time out for fun and simple pleasures daily. I treat my body like the temple it is by eating nutritious food and getting good exercise. When an exciting opportunity arises, I seize it. I commit to engaging in the sacred nature of the world, trusting that God within guides my steps, leading me to my most perfect life.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.—Psalm 23:6

Let Go Let God Be Filled With Joy

One With God, I Am Filled With Joy.

When insecurities tempt me to doubt my worthiness, I affirm the words of “Desiderata” by Max Ehrmann: You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. I am an expression of the Divine, wondrously made, filled with the light and joy of God. No apparent lack can cast a shadow of doubt or fear across my life when I center my awareness in the Christ within. I have a right to a joyful, healthy, and prosperous life. When I am in tune with the world around me, I find joy everywhere. Even if it sometimes feels distant or elusive, I listen to the forest, desert, or mountains sing for joy before the Lord. Once again, I feel divine love within me and within the starry heavens, and joy fills my life.

Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord.—1 Chronicles 16:33

Let Go Let God In Divine Order

I Live In Harmony With Divine Order.

Life is in constant motion, even if that motion is imperceptible to me. When I feel stuck in place or impatient with my progress, I consider the gradual yet orderly pattern of the seasons as they change. The single golden leaf I notice one day will become part of a blaze of color just a few weeks later. The brisk chill in the morning air soon will lead to biting cold and snow. The first tender seedlings of spring will bring bright blooms and a verdant canopy followed by the long, sultry days of summer. Little by little, one season turns into the next. My growth and understanding may happen in much the same way. Even if I don’t notice changes day to day, my life is always in motion and in order.

You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was brought to completion by the works.—James 2:22

Let Go Let God Show Kindness

I Give Of My Kind  And Caring Heart.

When I show kindness, I trust I am lifting another’s spirits. I think about how I feel when I am touched by an act of kindness—cared for and less alone in the world because someone has thought of me. I want to share this feeling so that others feel cared for. I may send a good morning text message to a loved one or congratulate a coworker on a job well done. I think of those who are struggling and hold them in the light of prayer, affirming their highest and best. I remember, too, to be kind to myself. I let go of self-judgment and treat myself with compassion and understanding. I relax and trust that I am evolving into the fullest expression of my divine nature.

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another.—Zechariah 7:9

Let Go Let God In Comfort

The Love Of God Comforts Me.

I find solace in God’s indwelling, loving presence. This love is a comfort but also a strength, the ever-renewing source of the tenderness and openness I take into the world. I am comforted when I trust that the power and presence of God is with me wherever I go. The very love that is God is also in me, as close to me as my heartbeat. Even as I encounter the occasional unkind word or inconsiderate action, I don’t dwell on it. Instead, I turn my attention to God and feel soothed. With God, I rise above all circumstances, meeting chaos with peacefulness and discord with harmony. The harshness of the world cannot compare to the comforting love of God, the home of my heart and the refuge of my soul.

Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.—Psalm 116:2

Let Go Let God Find Courage

With God, I Am A Strong And Courageous Force For Good In The World.

Courage can take many forms. I find courage in those who advocate for themselves and others, who triumphantly overcome fear, or who simply embrace each day with the faith they can be successful, despite any limitations. I find my courage by focusing my attention inward. Positivity and attention on the presence of God within keep frightening thoughts at bay and help me remain calm and grounded no matter what happens. Courage fills me with energy and strength as I yield to indwelling Spirit. I have the courage to speak my mind when I feel guided, offer help when it is needed, and move steadily in the direction of my goals and dreams. Strong and courageous, I am successful in every endeavor.

I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart.—Psalm 40:8

Let Go Let God Breathe

I Consciously Connect With Indwelling Spirit As I Breathe.

Each mindful breath I take helps me feel closer to God. Through my breath, I welcome the sensation that is life expressing through me. As I slowly and deeply inhale and fill my lungs with air, I become aware of my heart center. This awareness lets me know I am not alone; I could never be alone. God is always with me and within me. Exhaling, I release any tension I have been carrying, and as I do I feel my mind and body become lighter and more free. As I return to the activity of the day, I carry the gifts of mindful breathing. I am engaged while feeling grounded, energized while feeling peaceful, and deeply aware of God while remaining fully present in the world.

When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”—John 20:22

Let Go Let God Commit To Patience

I Am Patient And Kind.

I commit to being patient in all my interactions. If tempted to respond to someone irritably, I take a moment to become calm. I may take a deep breath and pause, remembering I am one with God. From this place of oneness, I find the patience to respond with love. I also commit to being patient with myself, not succumbing to feelings of frustration or self-judgment. I remember I need just as much kindness and understanding as everyone else. I react to disappointments with patience and let any negative feelings go. I remind myself that we are all doing the best we can in the moment. We are all deserving of patience and kindness.

May you be made strong with all the strength that comes from his glorious power, and may you be prepared to endure everything with patience.—Colossians 1:11

Let Go Let God With Memories

I Am Grateful For My Memories.

Today I remember the dear souls who have enriched my life through their unique contributions. I am grateful for memories of precious experiences and heart connections. Even though I have relatives and friends who have passed from earthly life, their love and presence still live in my heart. Connections I’ve made through the years make life rich and fulfilling. Some memories may bring a tear, while others may bring a smile or even a laugh. No matter which memories arise, I honor and nurture myself as I reflect upon them. I am grateful for my treasured memories and for all the people whose love, wisdom, support, and guidance have shaped me. Each one has helped me become who I am.

I thank my God every time I remember you.—Philippians 1:3
