Let Go Let God in Community

I open my heart to the unexpected gifts of community.

It can seem challenging to embrace community when personalities collide and viewpoints divide. In these times, I might be tempted to become judgmental, feel victimized, or simply leave. Yet if I elect to open my heart to divine love, I experience all the good that is available. As I surrender my preconceptions, I am enriched by diverse perspectives. When I remember that I am one with all people, I recognize that hurtful actions are merely unskillful calls for love. I acknowledge my difficult feelings then cocoon them with thoughts of compassion. Longtime wounds begin to heal. When I am open and vulnerable in community, I reap blessings beyond my imagination.

For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.—Matthew 18:20

Let Go Let God Embrace Wholeness

I embrace every part of myself with compassion.

Wholeness is my true nature. If I try to find evidence of my worthiness from outside myself, I can never relax into knowing my inner value. So I willingly release any outer grasping now. I fold my hands over my heart and take slow, deep breaths, appreciating the harmonious flow of divine love in me. I see that I was never looking for the world’s acceptance; I was waiting for my own. Here and now, I compassionately embrace all the qualities I have judged or disowned in myself, whether feelings of anger and sadness or traits such as neediness and forgetfulness. I remember that I am—and always have been—perfectly whole, worthy, and radiant.

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.—Psalm 139:14

Let Go Let God Feel Comfort

I remember the indwelling God and I am comforted.

There is a divine solution to every human problem. That solution is released through the dynamic action of the comforter or helper that Jesus spoke of, which is the activity of God within me. God is not separate from me but closer than breathing—a comforting, protecting presence that moves through me to meet my every need. I feel comforted knowing the power of the Divine is stirring in my mind and becoming active in my world. I am reassured by the awareness that God within me offers every aspect of the divine to me—strength, wisdom, faith, love, power, and more. Whatever the outcome of my human problems, I am comforted knowing I am never alone.

Let your steadfast love become my comfort according to your promise to your servant.—Psalm 119:76

Let Go Let God Allow Inner Peace

I allow the peace of God to flow through me now.

When I feel stressed by the busyness of my day, I remember the peace of God is as close as my next thought. No matter what is happening around me, I can always choose to experience a deep inner peace. Finding peace requires no strenuous effort but only my permission and cooperation. Exhaling all tension, I inhale peace. Peace calms my thoughts and emotions and relaxes my body. With each breath, peace fills me and radiates from me. I continue to draw from this deep well of peace as I resume my daily activities with renewed energy and a quickened awareness of the infinite presence.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.—Philippians 4:7

Let Go Let God through Clarity

I see the way to bliss, peace, and prosperity with utmost clarity.

Throughout my years on earth, I know sometimes I will need to take a deep look within myself and set about healing any areas necessary for my growth. I want to view my life with the clarity of spiritual vision. Linked with divine creative power, I can envision a world filled with hope and a bright future for one and all. Within me is the divine potential to be a catalyst for change in the world. Prayer, which is communion with the Christ essence of me, is my hope of glory. As I pray, my purpose becomes clear, and I am grateful. I see with utmost clarity the way to bliss, peace, and prosperity.

Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he looked intently and his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.—Mark 8:25

Let Go Let God Know Value

I know my value as a spiritual being.

We hear about corporate values and family values. We value our possessions according to what they cost or the sentimental feelings they evoke. We weigh the value of one choice over another. We assign a value to anything we buy. Yet what is most valuable to us, so deeply important we wouldn’t want to live without it? Could it be the awareness that we are spiritual beings? The human experience becomes infinitely richer once we know our divine worth. We are of inestimable value as expressions of God on the earth. Today we rejoice in knowing our value as worthy, eternal beings living in the oneness of God.

Clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.—Ephesians 4:24

Let Go Let God at this Turning Point

I make wise decisions that lead me to my greatest good.

The warm yellow glow of a sunrise reminds me that each day holds the promise of a new beginning. With a new dawn comes a fresh start—an opportunity to choose again. Which thoughts will I choose today? What is important to me? Which actions will lead me to my greatest good? Lessons learned yesterday help me make better decisions today. As I tune in to my inner wisdom, I am guided clearly by the intentions I set for my life. Limiting patterns of thought that held me back in the past have no power over me today. As I gain clarity, I make wise decisions that change the course of my life for the better. With this new awareness, I claim my good now!

I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?—Isaiah 43:19

Let Go Let God Provide Understanding

I am illumined by the light of spiritual understanding.

In today’s fast-paced world, I can collect a great many facts at the click of a button. But even as I gain intellectual knowledge, I may feel something is missing. I have a desire for spiritual understanding, which can only be found within. As I open my heart in prayer, I am refreshed, renewed, and rekindled by the light that burns brightly within me. H. Emilie Cady wrote in her master work, Lessons in Truth, “You will no longer dwell in darkness, for the light will be within your own heart. This is spiritual understanding.” There is so much more to me than I had previously been aware. This moment of contemplation has helped me understand, and I am grateful.

For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light.—Ephesians 5:

Let Go Let God Refresh

I am renewed by the living water of God.

Whether water takes form as a waterfall, an ocean, a hot tub, a shower, a lake, a river, or a cool drink, it is the most refreshing substance that exists. Water cleanses and heals, flows and balances. It is essential to life on earth. When Jesus offered living water to the woman at the well, he was saying the life-giving power within each of us can meet our every need. My spiritual nature is a source of refreshing, living water that will never run dry. Each day, I connect with my heart, drawing forth the divine love that sustains me. I can direct this harmonizing energy wherever it is needed. Focused and centered in my heart, I experience the flow that heals, nurtures, and blesses.

Those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty.—John 4:14

Let Go Let God with Resilience

I am flexible yet strong in times of change.

There is a natural order to life that I can trust. Life has taught me that while change is inevitable, I need not worry. As I remain present to changes in my life and in the world, I strive to remain open to the flow of good. Flexibility is my strength. Like a willow tree in a windstorm, I remain grounded. When I feel concern for myself or a loved one, I take a moment to be silent. Letting go of limiting patterns or worries about the future, I release resistance and open to divine inspiration. I realign myself so I can approach every life situation with a sense of grace and ease. From a centered state of mind, I affirm: I am flexible yet strong in times of change.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me.—Psalm 51:10

Let Go Let God There is Time Enough

I have time, faith, and strength enough to do what needs to be done by me.

As I look forward to all I plan to accomplish today, I seek guidance in prayer. God’s peace quiets my mind, calms my emotions, and relaxes my body. Prayer quickens my divine faculties of love, wisdom, understanding, and order. I am guided to organize my time in a way that allows me to fulfill important commitments, contribute to my own and others’ spiritual growth, and provide the physical activity and rest my body needs. Divinely guided, I also recognize and release activities that do not contribute to my highest good. I feel God’s guiding presence as my day unfolds in divine order. I affirm: I have time, faith, and strength enough to do the things that need to be done by me.

The clever do all things intelligently.—Proverbs 13:16

Let Go Let God Take Steps

Today I take steps for all humankind.

Fifty years ago today, two American astronauts became the first men to walk on the moon. Neil Armstrong called it “one giant leap for mankind” as he planted deep footprints into the moon dust. What are the footprints I am leaving as I pass through my human existence? Could I possibly make any leaps for humankind? Are my efforts at love, forgiveness, and compassion leaving a trail for others toward greater awareness? As I celebrate this day in history, I choose to believe each step I take is important. Each step can bring me closer to living from a spiritual mindset, closer to a sense of my oneness with God. Today and going forward, I will take steps to serve humankind.

Love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.—Romans 12:10

Let Go Let God Celebrate Prosperity

I celebrate the abundant nature of life.

The natural world is a beautiful expression of God’s bounty. Plant and animal life, the seas, sky, and sun are all colorful expressions of abundance in the world. Abundance is my natural state too. I might feel stressed in my personal life, but I remind myself that even in the midst of concerns, good is present. I do not let temporary conditions pull me away from what I know to be true. Acknowledging this underlying good in my life, I begin to feel more at peace. From this perspective, I see many blessings for which to be grateful. I revel in the evidence of God’s good all around me. I celebrate the abundant nature of life.

And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance.—2 Corinthians 9:8

Let Go Let God with Perspective

With faith and gratitude, I achieve spiritual perspective.

An artist creates depth in a painting by using visual perspective, making objects smaller so they will appear more distant. On the canvas of my life, difficult circumstances sometimes loom large in the foreground. Yet when I put them in perspective, their influence diminishes. I achieve perspective with faith that all things work together for good and with gratitude that each challenge is an opportunity to grow in spiritual awareness. I have a purpose higher than simply solving life’s frustrations. Seeing the big picture of my life helps soften the upsetting events and expands the delights. With faith and gratitude, I put it all in spiritual perspective.

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.—Job 42:5

Let Go Let God in Laughter

I discover my inner joy and laughter.

Who finds it easiest to laugh? Children! Perhaps this is why Jesus suggested that no one can truly have a spiritual experience without becoming like a child. When he said, “Let the little children come to me … for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these,” he might have been speaking to each soul’s need for lightheartedness. Laughter lifts my heart, opens my mind, and leaves my soul receptive to new guidance and inner direction. Laughter opens me up, makes me flexible, and lightens my load. Laughter is truly the expression of the kingdom of heaven. No matter what is going on in my life, I take the time to laugh!

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy.—Psalm 126:2

Let Go Let God be Patient

I patiently await greater understanding.

Sometimes I hesitate to pray for patience because I will likely begin to notice every annoying person or event that crops up in my life. I will find plenty of opportunities to be patient! Yet I do want to practice drawing from the deep reserve of peace that dwells in my soul. I know I have the capacity to let events unfold in perfect order without pushing them along or correcting what I perceive to be errors. I can let other people be fully who they are. By focusing on my divine identity, I keep my temper in check and affirm the good in any situation. Aligned with the peace of God, I patiently await my greater understanding.

Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.—Psalm 119:34

Let Go Let God Listen

I listen to the still, small voice within me.

Today I take time to close my eyes and listen to God’s world all around me. I hear birds sing and the breeze moving through the trees. It is wonderful to reconnect with sounds I have taken for granted. As I continue to sit quietly and listen, I hear my breathing slow and I become aware of my heart beating. Listening deeply now, I am conscious of a still, small voice speaking within me. Call it God or the Divine or my higher self—I recognize the connection to Spirit that is always with me. In the past, I might have ignored this inner knowing, but in this moment, I am grateful for clarity and support. I resolve to spend more time listening for the voice of Truth.

Let anyone with ears listen!—Matthew 11:15

Let Go Let God Pray for Others

With faith, I see the truth in any situation.

When I’m asked to pray for others, I look beyond the story of their lives. Instead I discern the truth beneath appearances to find the sacred essence of each situation. Knowing that each of us is a living expression of God, I affirm that divine qualities are active in others—healing life, harmonizing love, prospering wisdom, and so much more. I see the divine nature of every person and know they have access to all the attributes of God. Seeing this deeper truth allows me to stand firm in faith as I pray for others. No matter how sad or discouraged they may feel, I pray, knowing their innate strength, power, and wisdom.

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.—John 8:32

Let Go Let God in Divine Order

I gratefully recognize the order and harmony of the universe.

Charles Fillmore said, “Order is the first law of the universe.” Taking this statement to heart, I begin to recognize and accept the natural order of the world around me. Just as the seasons unfold in sequence and the planets remain in orbit, I can live in a world of order. I call upon this divine attribute, this part of my God-self, to organize and balance my life. I find myself relaxing into the circle of life. I eat and drink mindfully to sustain my body temple. I affirm and appreciate that all my faculties are in order. I release any clutter in my environment. I allow events to unfold naturally. Aligning with the order inherent in all things, I affirm: I gratefully recognize the order and harmony of the universe.

But all things should be done decently and in order.—1 Corinthians 14:40

Let Go, Let God

I free body, mind, and soul as I let go and let God.

I am inspired by the words of Meister Eckhart, a 14th-century German monk and philosopher, who said, “Let God be God in you.” As I become still today, I recognize I may be holding on to events or hurts of the past that I have not forgiven. Through spiritual understanding, I know I am the only one who is hurt by the bitterness and resentment I carry. So I gently let go and let God. I know I am never separate from the Infinite, but when I consciously “let God be God” in me, I begin to think and act from my divine nature. I see with eyes of love and compassion. I see good in myself, my affairs, and the world. Letting go frees me to express my divine nature.

The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.—Proverbs 16:9

Let Go Let God with Joy

My heart overflows with joy today.

This day, I commit myself to expressing joy. Even though something in my life might seem sad or troubling, I declare the truth that I have a joyous spirit. In prayer and meditation, I build a consciousness of joy. Outer circumstances are not the final word; turning to the spirit of God within me can change anything. I feel such joy knowing I cannot be separated from the divine presence. Joy fills my mind and my life, and I receive more joy in return. By claiming and expressing the divine happiness that comes from within me, I brighten my life and send ripples of joy into the world.

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.”—Luke 2:10

Let Go Let God Declare Intention

I declare my intention to be a light of God expressing.

What are my goals in life? Am I focused on having a great career, getting married, or nurturing a family? Am I thinking about buying a house or car? Just as I set clear intentions for my outer life, I need intentions for my inner life. I focus on these spiritual intentions during prayer and meditation, knowing they will change and grow through the years. Yet one intention doesn’t change: to be a light of God expressing. This light encompasses love, joy, peace, compassion, and generosity of spirit—all present in me. As a child of God, I cannot help but be the light of God expressing. My daily intention is to shine my light.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”—John 8:12

Let Go Let God Contribute to World Peace

With body, mind, and spirit, I contribute to world peace.

World peace begins within each individual. I deeply believe that my thoughts and prayers make a difference in the world. I join with others in my place of worship, my neighborhood, and across the globe as we envision peace. Feeling peace relaxes my body and brings my heart a sense of calm. I envision peace as a reality I can believe in. I trust divine ideas are flowing and being recognized by all who can contribute to world peace. If I find myself worrying, I am misusing my imagination. Instead I envision the most positive circumstances I can conceive. I breathe deeply and feel my connection with God. With body, mind, and spirit, I contribute to world peace.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.—Matthew 5:9

Let Go Let God Imagine

I imagine only good for myself and others.

Everything we see in the world began with a thought. Rev. Kelly Isola writes, “The great fullness of life is a creative journey, one that I am imagining and expressing.” How full my life can be when I utilize the imagination of my inner, spiritual awareness! With faith that every need is fulfilled, I use my imagination to visualize unlimited good overflowing to all people. I imagine a world of peace and love. I paint a picture of people exercising kindness and compassion in their dealings with one another. I do my part by personally expressing such qualities in my own life. My life is a creative journey fueled by imagination.

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.—Colossians 3:2

Let Go Let God Provide Guidance

Divine love and wisdom guide my thoughts, words, and actions.

How empowering it is to know that every attribute of God is seeking expression in my life, as me, even in the most ordinary decisions and events! I am called to become more aware of my divine nature and develop its qualities. I release any limiting thoughts and beliefs and attune my mind and heart to the constant flow of ideas from divine mind. My awareness of an infinite presence becomes deeper and stronger. Gradually I learn to rely on the divine love and wisdom that are always available to guide my thoughts, words, and actions. As I fully realize the unfailing power of God, I go forward with renewed faith, vision, and purpose.

He leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.—Psalm 23:2-3

Let Go Let God be Harmony

Today I do my part to create harmony and peace.

Today I do my part to bring peace and harmony to my corner of the world. People around me may be angry and argumentative, but I remain centered in the deep peace of my soul, which helps me see God in others too. When I view the world from my higher nature, I am not swayed by outer appearances or individuals. The harmony I radiate is contagious. Those I come in contact with might suddenly feel lighter and happier. It makes me smile to know I am touching other lives with peace. It is not enough to pray for harmony; I must strive to be harmony. The time to change the world starts now, with me.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.—Colossians 3:14

Let Go Let God Claim Healing

Divine life radiates in and through every aspect of my being.

Health, wholeness, and vitality are the natural state of my being. Whenever I feel unwell, I pause to remember spiritual truth. In prayer, I claim my birthright of health and wholeness. I acknowledge that infinite intelligence supports the well-being of my body. I affirm for each cell: Divine life energy invigorates you now, and I envision the light of life radiating through my body temple. Acknowledging that I am a divine expression of wholeness, not only do I begin to feel stronger and more vibrant physically, but I feel mentally clear and more spiritually alive. I am grateful for divine energy: Divine life radiates in and through every aspect of my being.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all people.—John 1:4

Let Go Let God be Free

My spirit is free!

Each morning, I choose the attitude I will adopt for the day, holding to bright possibilities regardless of circumstances. I respond to events with faith and optimism. I choose positive and affirmative words. I am blessed by freedom of choice. I decline to let anyone or anything control me. I am one with God, and, relying on the spirit that expresses through me, I freely choose my path. I also acknowledge I must choose wisely. Each choice has consequences, and each brings opportunities. Freedom blesses my day, my relationships, my health, and my life.

So if the Son makes you free, you will be free  indeed.—John 8:36

Let Go Let God Forgive

Forgiveness is a blessing and a gift I give myself.

When I am wronged, it can be easy for me to justify hurt feelings and even defend my resentment. Holding on to anger might seem to protect me from future injury, but I cannot be the judge and jury for another. Doing so means I bear the greater cost. Eventually I realize my feelings are not ultimately caused by another but by my judgment and my decision to hold on to bitterness or indignation. I choose instead to help heal this situation by envisioning only good for the other. I am blessed by a feeling of lightness as I release and let go of any negativity. Forgiveness is a blessing and a gift I give myself.

Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone.—Mark 11:25

Let Go Let God have Faith

I have faith I can handle whatever comes.

Faith is not simply my belief that everything will turn out all right, although that idea comforts me. My faith is deeper because I can understand and use divine laws in any situation. Knowing God is all there is, I shift my beliefs to a more positive point of view. I rely on my own divine nature, the Christ energy within me, to propel me into each next step even when I can’t see the full path ahead. I develop faith in myself and my ability to make wise choices. No matter what I may face in the future, I have faith I can handle it. Nothing less than the power of God is behind my decisions, and I have an opportunity to express the Divine in every choice I make.

For whatever is born of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world, our faith.—1 John 5:4

Let Go Let God Transform this New Day

My inner light shines forth and transforms the darkness.

The rising sun marks the change from night to a new day as light slowly infuses and transforms the darkness. What once appeared in the shadows is gently brought into the light, reminding me that the light of God within dissolves all darkness. I can’t control other people or circumstances, but I know that in the midst of darkness I can always access the light within me. In any moment when I feel afraid or gloomy, I can experience the transformative power of a new day. I am nothing less than the light of God, created with a divine image and likeness. Just as the sun rises without fail, I can overcome the darkness within and around me by bringing forth my inner light.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.—John 1:5
