Let Go Let God Celebrate a New Day

I let go of yesterday. Today is a new day!

Each evening, I release any burdens from the day. Consciously letting go of judgment, resentment or expectation, I release them to be gently dissolved into the night. In the morning as I awake, I begin anew. I connect with God in gratitude. I am alive! I am aware! I am ready!
I see myself and others as one in Spirit. We are one; there is no separation. There is no judgment. There is only the realization that we are each made of the same "stuff" in our unfolding universe.
Today--in this very moment--is where life resides. I let go of yesterday. I do not worry about tomorrow. I enjoy the sweet and loving peace of now.

God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.--Genesis 1:5

Let Go Let God Refresh

I am refreshed and renewed in mind, body and spirit.

When I think of my health and the way I approach it, I ask myself if I am doing all I need to do to be healthy, whole and well. If I feel I can do more, I take this opportunity to refresh and perhaps adopt new healthy habits.
I may begin by spending more time in prayer and meditation, visualizing my body as a holy temple filled with divine, renewing life. I may start an exercise regimen that helps me get in tune with my body. I may try new, more healthful ways to prepare my food.
Of the many healthy practices available to me, I follow my inner guidance and find which ones are right for me. I am refreshed and renewed in mind, body and spirit.

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God?--1 Corinthians 6:19

Let Go Let God Find Comfort

I find comfort in the love of God.

Life may be difficult when faced with certain events. I may seek comfort when challenged by the loss of a job, a health crisis or the need to let go of a cherished dream. Temporarily, I may find comfort in things or people. However, true and lasting comfort comes from the love of God within.
In a quiet moment, I find a place for rest. I still my thoughts and empty my mind of the chaos of fear, doubt and pain. In the silence is the love, peace and comfort I seek. In the silence I remember I am forever the child of a loving Creator. Never abandoned or left alone, I am loved. Strengthened by the comfort of Spirit that is always available to me, I move through any challenge with grace.

So I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands and call on your name. --Psalm 63:4

Let Go Let God Express Value

I am a unique expression of God.

There is innate value and inherent good in all people. A child born into this world is pure innocence. He or she is a unique expression of God.
I see goodness in each person I meet today, and I see good in myself. Just as children learn and grow from the events and adventures in their lives, so I have learned from the occurrences in my life. I choose to use my talents and skills, my attitude, love and willingness in ways that bless myself and others. Within me lies the power to brighten another's day, to help someone in need, to encourage someone who is discouraged.
I enjoy expressing the love of God in my own unique way.

Clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.--Ephesians 4:24

Let Go Let God Be Inspired

I allow my divine inner wisdom its full expression.

Inspiration is always available to me. To feel inspired, I can discuss stimulating ideas with friends, listen to music, or stroll through an art gallery. Likewise, I can gain inspiration from reading a thought-provoking book, allowing my thoughts to wander, or sitting in quiet meditation. Whether I am praying, spending time with loved ones, or communing with nature, my open and receptive mind invites divinely inspired ideas.
Feelings of divine discontent may also inspire me to make changes and grow as I strive to reach my full potential. Creative inspiration may produce a song, a book or a painting. When I embrace and allow full expression of my divine inner wisdom, I am inspired.

I will lead the blind by a road they do not know. --Isaiah 42:16

Let Go Let God with Faith

I respond to life's circumstances according to my faith.

Every circumstance is temporary. If I am struggling, I respond to the challenge according to my faith. I turn within for direction and gently release thoughts of lack, limitation or unworthiness. Gratefully I acknowledge that in every moment I am divinely supported.
I am a powerful co-creator. In prayer, I connect with the Christ within, knowing that I am being guided toward my highest expression. I have faith that on this journey of becoming the best me I can be, all things are possible. I listen to the wisdom within and know that according to my faith, I make choices that are right for me. I have faith that all is well as I live, move and have my being enfolded in God's goodness.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.--Hebrews 11:1

Let Go Let God be my Sunshine

The light of God warms my heart and guides my way.

Just as the sun appears to be gone in the darkest moments of night, divine light may seem to be missing when I need guidance. Turning within for prayer, I reawaken my awareness of God's light and receive the direction I desired.
I rejoice in the warmth of the sun and the play of its shadows on the earth, and I rejoice in the light of God that shines in my heart and shows me the way.
The popular classic song "My Girl" begins, "I've got sunshine on a cloudy day." This statement touches the imagination of people and also reveals a deep spiritual truth: the light of God is always available, despite any outward appearance.
Yours is the day, yours also the night; you established the luminaries and the sun. --Psalm 74:16

Let Go Let God through Giving

I give with joy and delight.

Opportunities to give are plentiful. I am filled with joy each time I act on one of those opportunities. Giving my time, talent or treasure is not a burden. I do not give out of obligation. I give with love and without hesitation. I give with joy and delight, simply because I want to contribute.
How and what will I give today? I may call to encourage a friend, take treats to my co-workers, change a flat tire for a stranger, volunteer or donate to a charity, or give back to an organization that feeds me spiritually.
At the close of the day as I count my blessings, I smile as I recall how I gave of myself today. My reward is the joy in my heart that comes from giving.

Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.--2 Corinthians 9:7

Let Go Let God Provide Healing

The energy of God revitalizes me.

When I am caught up in a troubled relationship or concerned about an illness, healing may seem a distant dream. By releasing my hold on the issue, however, I can feel my consciousness begin to shift. I center myself in Divine Love and I remember that I was created in the likeness of God. As God's beloved expression, I give no power to dis-ease, strife or unrest in my life.
I release any barrier to the life-giving energy that flows in and through me, my body and my relationships. I open to God's healing presence. I feel God's love radiate within me, revitalizing my body and my life with health and harmony. I witness a transformation, body and soul.

And all in the crowd were trying to touch him, for power came out from him and healed all of them.--Luke 6:19

Let Go Let God be the Guide through Turning Points

God is always with me.

I have been through turning points in my life--times in which I overcame fear, changed my way of thinking, or found inner reserves of courage and strength. As I look back on these times, I realize I was never alone; God was with me as a guiding hand, a comforting presence and a strengthening power. This gives me comfort and peace.
I give thanks for the turning points in my life, for through them, I have emerged stronger and wiser. I have been blessed with new ideas and attitudes, new ways of seeing the world around me and the people in it. What a blessing to know that God is with me in these moments and in every moment of my life!

You have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.--Colossians 3:9-10

Let Go Let God Teach Resilience

I have the resolve and resilience to do what is mine to do.

Although difficult circumstances come my way from time to time, I know better than to let outer situations get the best of me. I remember that wherever I am, God is and always will be.
A child learning to walk will fall on occasion, but he will also get up and try again. The child gets stronger and steadier with every try, and eventually walks without effort. Like that child, I have an inner resilience. If I stumble occasionally, I learn and grow from any seeming mistakes or missteps.
I have the inner strength to bounce back from any challenge. Knowing this, I move through my day with confidence and flexibility. I have the inner resolve and resilience to do whatever is mine to do.

Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.--1 Corinthians 16:13

Let Go Let God Provide Prosperity

I live in an abundant universe.

Jesus began with five loaves of bread and two fishes. He gave thanks, blessed what he had, and fed the large crowd of people who came to hear his message.
Applying the spiritual principle illustrated in this parable, I give thanks for the good I have received and I give thanks in advance for the good I desire. God is the source of my supply, and I live in an abundant universe.
Following Jesus' example, I use God's supply wisely and give generously. I am nourished by the bounty of the earth that sustains me physically and by the spiritual teachings that feed my soul. I use, share and bless all that I have been given, and I give thanks to God.

Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.--Luke 9:16

Let Go, Let God

I trust in the activity of Spirit, and my faith grows.

Letting go brings me peace and freedom. As I trust in the activity of Spirit, I am free to release the weight of resentment or unforgiveness. As I let go of worry about a job, the economy, my health or a loved one, I allow Spirit to work in these situations. When I let go of self-doubt and unworthiness, I let divine inner wisdom be my guide.
My life is uplifted and sustained by the spirit of God active in me. My faith grows as I surrender any doubts and trust in Spirit. Letting go does not mean I do nothing. It simply means I am less willful and more willing. I let go of the need to control or solve every problem and marvel at the way life is forever moving in the direction of my highest good.

But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." --Psalm 31:14

Let Go Let God Share World Peace

My inner peace contributes to a peaceful world.

Not long ago, it was unimaginable that millions worldwide could be in contact with each other simultaneously. Today with the Internet and social networking, we can easily join our hearts and minds in thoughtful, peaceful response to challenging world events. Even if not connected to the Internet, we are all part of an "inner net"--our oneness in God. As we hold peace in mind, we contribute to a more peaceful world.
I open my heart and envision peace for families, communities and countries around the world. I consciously contribute to a growing awareness of our oneness. I hold this vision, and I am peaceful in my own heart and mind. I do my part to maintain the inner net of peace that connects all humanity.

If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.--Romans 12:18

Let Go Let God with Understanding

I open my mind and heart to new understanding.

I have had instances in my life that were "aha" moments--flashes of insight when I suddenly understood a particular idea or concept. It was as if a light bulb went off and I knew what I needed to know. Spiritual growth can be filled with these moments of deep understanding, when I know at a soul level that I am one with God.
Just as a child learns to read one letter at a time, I learn more about my spiritual nature one moment at a time. Whenever or however it may occur, each glimpse of divine wisdom is an opportunity to learn and grow in spiritual understanding and faith. Every "aha" moment with God is part of my ongoing process of spiritual growth, leading me deeper in faith, strengthening my confidence.

The meditation of my heart shall be understanding.--Psalm 49:3

Let Go Let God Give a Pet Blessing

My animal friends are God's love in expression.

From the tiniest amoeba to the largest whale, every living creature has a place in the world. Some help keep nature in balance, some provide sustenance for others, some help us learn more about ourselves, and others become treasured companions.
When I laugh at the antics of a squirrel playing in a tree, observe a mother cat nursing her kittens, or admire a new colt sprinting across a field, I see God and give thanks. I bless these creatures for the joy they are. I show my appreciation by doing my part to preserve the environment in which they live.
With a prayer of thanksgiving, I bless the remarkable animals that share this planet with me.

In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. --Psalm 104:24

Let Go Let God Give Clarity

Returning to my Christ nature, I see all things clearly.

When asked to heal a blind man, Jesus put his hands on the man's eyes. The man's vision was restored, but it was blurred. To him, people looked "like trees, walking." After Jesus laid his hands on him a second time, the man could see clearly.
As I turn within for guidance and direction, I affirm the clarity I seek and give thanks in advance for the ability to see things clearly. Even if doubts arise, I do not turn away. I continue to return to the Christ Presence within for clear vision. With spiritual clarity, I affirm wholeness despite any physical condition. I see abundance where others may only see lack. By returning to my Christ nature, I can see all things clearly.

Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he looked intently and his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.--Mark 8:25

Let Go Let God with Inner Peace

I am calm and serene.

Nothing can disturb me without my permission. For that reason, I begin my day with a choice for peace. Regardless of external events, the length or urgency of my to-do list, or the activity of my busy mind, I find peace within.
As I become quiet, aware of Spirit, and aware of my own thoughts and emotions, I am not sidetracked by any rash reaction to turmoil. I focus my attention on my breathing, close my eyes and envision the tranquility of Spirit. I am calm as I make a few simple choices for peace: I smile; I turn the television off; I shut down the computer.
A few moments in prayer or meditation attune me to the serenity within. In Spirit, I am calm, serene and undisturbed.

Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace.--Isaiah 26:3

Let go Let God Provide Time Enough

This is a day of accomplishment and fulfillment.

Whenever I seem to be running out of time to do what I need to do, I take a reality check. Starting with this simple observation: There is the same amount of minutes and hours in each day. Check! I am the "master" of my time because I can make choices. Check! I have no reason to feel out of control as I look forward to the next few hours or days. Check!
I gain confidence about being the authority over my time by first starting my day with prayer. Centered and relaxed, I don't fight time; I go with the flow. I think with clarity and act efficiently. I know when to say yes and when to say no. I feel composed, and my day flows smoothly.

But the Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; there is need of only one thing."--Luke10:41-42

Let Go Let God in Prayer for Others

I pray for others, holding to the vision of their wholeness.

When I see others moving through painful experiences, my heart is touched and I want to love and support them. Though I may or may not be able to take immediate action, I make a meaningful contribution through prayer. I seek Spirit's guidance in seeing beyond any problem to the Truth that lies within.
God is greater than any situation. I need not pray from a place of fear; the loving power of God is at work. As I allow the spirit of God to transform my heart and mind, I know that healing has already begun. I feel strengthened as I pray for others, and they are strengthened as I pray with them, holding to the vision of their wholeness.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness …that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.--Romans 8:26

Let Go Let God for Guidance

Spirit inspires my decisions.

Athletes have coaches who train them on skills and technique. Actors have directors to guide their movements on stage. Cars have global positioning devices that give driving directions. These are all useful aids when external guidance is needed.
When I am making a decision, choosing a path, or finding my way out of difficulty, I rely on my inner guidance system--the light of Spirit within me. Subtle thoughts or flashes of inspiration are cues from my Divine Director. I listen to my heart and trust the signals I receive. I open my eyes to the Light so that I may clearly see my options. Divine guidance is free and unwavering. It leads me on the path to happiness and fulfillment.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. --Proverbs 3:6

Let Go Let God to Imagine

What I imagine, I call forth.

I am a child of the Infinite Creator and my thoughts have creative power. Aligned with Divine Mind, I open to the flow of ideas through my imagination. My imagination is not limited by how things appear in the world or by my past experiences. Without knowing how it might come about, my mind's eye must first imagine what I desire. I choose my thoughts carefully, releasing those which imply lack and separation.
Through imagination I call peace and love into manifestation. As I imagine peace, I encounter peace expressing in the experiences of my life. As I envision love, I see myself in loving relationship with self and others. What I imagine, I call forth into expression.

For I am about to create new heavens and a new earth. --Isaiah 65:17

Let Go Let God and Play

I am a joyful expression of Spirit.

When children play, they exercise their physical muscles and also their spiritual muscles of joy, love and zeal. While we may not play as often as children, we, too, experience the benefits of play in moments of joyful abandon.
As I plan for my spiritual fitness, I make space for play. Finding a playground swing, a box of colors, a ball to throw, or a kite to fly, I free myself to play.
I release any concerns about my age, my responsibilities or my body that might limit my enjoyment. I smile and breathe in the pure joy of being alive. I am an eternally young expression of Spirit as I exercise my love, joy and zeal in play.

So I commend enjoyment, for there is nothing better for people under the sun than to eat, and drink, and enjoy themselves.--Ecclesiastes 8:15

New items this week

Here are some of the items posted in Divine Orders shop this week:

Let Go Let God in Harmony

In God-love I generate harmony with all people and all creation.

Living in harmony with the world requires recognition of every person's inherent worth and value. While divisions in the outer world exist, harmony and love are our true nature. In Truth, we are one.
As I seek ways to balance my own needs with the needs of others, I turn within to the love of God. Divine Love adjusts, harmonizes, unifies and satisfies. As I become an expression of God-love, my interactions with others are blessed and in harmony.
By consciously allowing love to be expressed in everything I think, say and do, I become harmony in action. The love of God flows in and through me, generating harmony with all people and all creation.

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.--Colossians 3:14

Let Go Let God with Patience

Patience is my gift to hold and to share.

Patience is defined as "quiet, steady perseverance." I move confidently through each day with quiet, steady perseverance because my faith is strong. I know there is a time and a season for all things.
Every day I have the opportunity to practice patience. As I wait in line or in traffic, I use the idle moments to rest from the busyness of the day. I fill any unexpected time with a simple prayer or thoughts of gratitude.
Being patient helps me mature spiritually and emotionally. When I am quiet and calm, I see the good that fills my life. Other people become aware that I am unhurried, and they, too, become calmer and more patient.
Patience is a gift to share. I cultivate it within myself and demonstrate patience at every opportunity.

Rejoice in hope, be patient.--Romans 12:12

Let Go Let God in Forgiveness

I forgive from my heart and enrich all my relationships.

I would not consider carrying a heavy backpack filled with things I don't need and can't use. Neither do I choose to carry the heavy load of anger or resentment about something I or someone else has said or done.
Forgiveness is possible when I act from the spirit of God within me. If it is suitable, I may speak to someone directly or write a note, giving us both a chance to renew our relationship. If the other person isn't willing, my willingness brings me immediate relief.
If for some reason contact is not appropriate or safe, I forgive quietly in my heart. God's spirit within me is greater than any disagreement. My heart is softened and my burden is relieved through the power of forgiveness.

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.--John 20:23

Let Go Let God In Grace

I accept God's gift of grace.

The parable of the prodigal son illustrates God's grace. The son, returning to his father's house, did not have to journey the full distance alone. His father ran toward him to welcome him, to care for him and to offer him sustenance.
The nature of God is love, and grace is an expression of divine love. It is the infinite support and benevolence of God given unconditionally. If I turn away from God's presence within me, it is the activity of grace that guides me home again.
A favorite poem reads, "Though you fail to find Me, I do not fail you. Though your faith in Me is unsure, My faith in you never wavers, because I know you, because I love you. Beloved, I am there."

While he was still far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion.--Luke 15:20

Let Go Let God I Am Free

I express my true self and enjoy life to the fullest.

Many years ago, Marlo Thomas wrote the book Free to Be … You and Me, which celebrated the importance of the individual and challenged society's stereotypes. As I remember that premise, I give thanks for the freedom to be the unique person God created me to be.
All people "live and move and have our being" in God. Knowing that I am a spiritual being, that I am divinely guided and blessed, brings me peace and freedom. It reminds me that I have a unique place in this world and a special role to fulfill.
Today and every day, I celebrate the truth of who I am--a unique and precious child of God. I embrace and give thanks for the freedom to be me!

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.--John 8:32

Let Go Let God All In Divine Order

I put God first, and order is established in my life.

To establish order in my life, I put first things first. First thing in the morning, I turn to God within. A moment of thanksgiving and a brief prayer for guidance start my day out right. Attunement with God results in harmony and success in the day ahead.
If difficulties arise, I turn first to God. God doesn't have the answer, God is the answer. Pressing needs are opportunities to remember that God is with me always. I call to mind, "Strive first for the kingdom … and all these things will be given to you."
When good is received, I turn first to God. A quiet "Thank you, God!" fills my heart. God is the directing power in my life. I put first things first, and all is well.

I keep the Lord always before me. --Psalm 16:8

Let Go Let God with Joy

I celebrate life with joy and gratitude.

Regardless of my circumstances at the moment, on this blessed summer day, I look for evidence of God's goodness and take it in with all my senses. I hear the joyful sounds of life--music playing, children laughing, and neighbors chatting outside their homes.
I savor the fragrance from a nearby rose garden or the aroma of dinner cooking on an outdoor grill. The taste of a refreshing glass of iced tea or an ice cream treat brings a smile to my lips. I revel in the warm summer sun or the coolness of an air-conditioned room.
Each sensory experience reminds me of the joy of being alive, as the light of God shines in me and in the world.

Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. --Psalm 70:4

Let Go Let God with Intention

With determination and faith, I create a life I love.

What is my intention today? What do I want to feel and experience over the next 24 hours? As I begin to probe these questions, I connect with Spirit in oneness and gratitude. I visualize the day ahead--who will I see and what actions will I take? Then I consider what qualities I will demonstrate and what attitude I will hold. Will I be patient, adventurous, loving?
Life is made up of the choices I make, the love I give and receive, and the faith I hold every moment of every day. If I have been waiting for "someday" to come, I stop waiting and make the decision to live fully and freely right now. I set the intention to live a life I love--and I start today.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. --Psalm 119:105
