Let Go Let God in Serenity

I Am Calm and Serene as I Rest in an Awareness of God.

What are some of the images that come to my mind when I think of serenity? Maybe a placid lake, gentle waves on the ocean, a striking sunset, or a comfortable easy chair. I hold those pictures in mind now and breathe deeply. Through my imagination, I am transported to a place of peace, a place where I experience the calm stillness of my soul. I feel the presence of God in a profound and relaxing way. Peace fills my mind and body. I am calm and serene. I rest now in this moment a little longer, consciously remembering this feeling so I can return to it at any time. The peace and serenity of God are always available to me.

I will both lie down and sleep in peace; for you alone, O Lord, make me lie down in safety.—Psalm 4:8

Let Go Let God Develop Potential

Through the Divine in Me, I Discover and Develop My True Spiritual Potential.

As I learn who I truly am, I embrace my Christ nature, the image of God that I am. I discover my true spiritual potential as I allow my divine faculties—such as imagination, faith, love, wisdom, understanding, strength, and more—to express through my thoughts, words, and actions. Any ideas of limitation dissolve as my imagination develops an inspiring, positive vision for my future. Faith provides a firm foundation for the attributes of love, wisdom, and understanding to bring my vision to life. The faculty of strength allows me to “keep on keeping on” through any challenge. These God-attributes are mine to develop and use as my divine potential unfolds.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.—Romans 15:13

Let Go Let God Pray for Others

I Pray For Joy, Love, And Peace For Every Person On The Planet.

I often pray for my friends and family, but today I will expand my circle of prayer to include every person on the planet. As I pray for others, I remember that all people are one with God, and I imagine each of us awakening to that truth. I hold a vision of joy spreading from the hearts of every person in my home, then in my neighborhood, town, country, and into the entire world. I imagine the planet radiating with love. Every time I pray for others in an affirming, loving way, I consciously remember that I am united with them through God. I carry this awareness into my interactions, and the positive effects of prayer extend through me to bless the world. I pray for joy, love, and peace for every person on the planet.

Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication.—Ephesians 6:18

Let Go Let God be Centered

I Am Centered in the Divine Presence.

Becoming centered is the practice of turning within to align with my divine nature. It is a feeling of peace and groundedness, of sanity and assurance. When I am centered, I can open my heart fearlessly to what life is bringing me, knowing nothing can knock me off balance. I never need to look outside myself for rescue or provision; there is no need for worry or anxiety. When I am centered and open, I become aware of spiritual inspiration that guides me, and I know my good comes to me in wondrous ways. All I will ever need comes from the spiritual presence within me. In prayer and meditation, I center myself in the awareness of this eternal source.

For “In him we live and move and have our being.”—Acts 17:28

Let Go Let God Begin Again

I Have Unlimited Chances To Be Born Again.

I hear the call to more meaningful life experiences and a deeper understanding of Spirit. Whether my calling comes from a sudden change or a restless awareness that something more is possible, I embark with faith. Life is a series of endings and births, of letting go and welcoming the new. Rather than resist change, I embrace each opportunity to recognize that every aspect of my life is for my good. Blessed with unlimited chances to begin again, I grow in spiritual understanding and reap the rewards.

Jesus answered him, “Very truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”—John 3:3

Let Go Let God in Affirmative Prayer

I Am the Light of God Expressing.

Rather than recite my problems in prayer, I affirm the well-being that I know exists around me. Affirmative prayer cuts through any fog of resistance in my mind and establishes my faith with energy and passion. I am the word of God expressing as I speak, think, and pray in this way. My heart is stirred as I am lifted up into a clear atmosphere of trust and confidence. Right now, I aim my laser focus in the direction of my prayerful desire with a simple affirmation of faith, such as: God and I are one or I am the light of God expressing. I release the vibrant energy these words express and feel a ready response in my heart. I know that all is well!

Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise.—Psalm 66:1-2

Let Go Let God with Vitality

I Am Whole And Vitally Alive

There is no separation between my body and its source of energy, between me and God. I now call forth the innate vitality of God that expresses through me. I feel a tingling energy awakening the cells of my body and enlivening my mind. I am renewed, restored, and healed as I tap in to the eternal power of divine life. This feeling of exhilaration is available to me at any time, because the vitality of God never tires. I can stop in any moment to feel the rhythm of life in my heartbeat and remember I am naturally whole. I have the vital elements of life, those necessary to human thriving as well as the divine attributes I carry as the image of God. I am joyous health, perfect peace, and divine life expressing.
The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light.—Matthew 6:22

Let Go Let God through Awareness

Mindful Moments Heighten My Spiritual Awareness and Bring Me Peace

Throughout my day, I stop occasionally to be mindful and aware of my surroundings. I take a breath and close my eyes. I notice the sensations of my body—the temperature around me, the touch of my clothing, the sounds I hear. I take another breath and observe my thoughts and feelings. Am I calm or anxious? Am I harried and hurried, or do I feel on purpose with today? As my realization of Spirit expands, distractions gently fall away. My busy thoughts are calmed and any apprehension or concerns are eliminated. I tap in to a deeper consciousness as I allow prayer and meditation to bring me to a sacred recognition and appreciation of my life. These moments bring me peace.

The Lord said … “Raise your eyes now, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward.”—Genesis 13:14

Let Go Let God be Healed

I Affirm Wholeness and I Am Healed

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke tell the story of a woman who believed she would be healed if she could touch the hem of Jesus’ cloak. The woman, according to the story, had been ill for 12 years. Seeing her, Jesus said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” The woman’s faith allowed wholeness to shine through the illness. She was healed. As an emanation of God, wholeness is my birthright. Wholeness maintains my body, mind, and emotions in perfect balance. I release any belief in illness, lack, or limitation and focus my faith on the wholeness that has always been present. I affirm wholeness and I am healed.
Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.—Matthew 9:22

Let Go Let God Create World Peace

Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me.

Today is the U.N. International Day of Peace for “commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.” Each year, I strive not only to be peaceful but to embody peace, to see past superficial differences to the oneness in all things. I take action to spread peace: I might have lunch with someone who holds a different viewpoint, visit a gathering place for another faith, or give flowers or a friendly smile to total strangers. I will invite those around me to pause as we join in the collective minute of silence to be observed at noon in every time zone, creating a wave of peace around the globe. I help to create peace on earth as I allow it to begin in me!

If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.—Romans 12:18

Let Go Let God with Confidence

I am confident and secure in my oneness with God.

I am like a house on a rock foundation, standing tall and secure in a storm. The winds can whip around me and the rain can pour in buckets, but nothing can knock me down or destroy me. I feel confident in those moments when I remember who I am and center my mind in Spirit. I trust myself and I trust the ground upon which I stand. I am confident because I am one with God, and I have faith in God’s order and omnipotence. When I forget these truths and experience worry or doubt, I shift my thoughts to remember who I really am. I am confident that I can handle any storm that approaches, for I am built on the indestructible foundation of Spirit. I am secure in my oneness with God.

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.—Jeremiah 17:7

Let Go Let God Express Spirit

I express powerful spiritual qualities.

My divine nature is made up of spiritual qualities including love, wisdom, joy, and peace. Anytime I feel off-course, I know I have separated myself from the truth of who I am. A feeling of discord signals me to take time out for prayer. In solitude I quietly affirm: I am a child of God. These words ring true in my heart and help me remember I have access to every spiritual quality needed on life’s journey. Continuing in prayer I remind myself: I have all I need within. My thoughts, words, and actions align with my deepest spiritual identity, and I move forward with what is mine to do. The light of my soul shines brightly as I express powerful spiritual qualities in the world.

Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am.”—John 8:58

Let Go Let God in the Inner Sanctuary

My heart is a sanctuary of peace.

Jesus taught his disciples by example how to turn within themselves to focus on peace. In his worst hours, he slipped away to the Garden of Gethsemane to be apart, not only physically but mentally, from all distractions. When I lose touch with inner peace, I can turn within to the garden of my heart, my inner sanctuary where peace resides. Focusing on my breath, I affirm as I inhale: I breathe in peace, and as I exhale, I breathe out love. I let these statements permeate my very being. I rest in this sanctuary of peace and love. Emerging from this sacred time, I walk in grace. I return to my tasks, buoyed by my moments in prayer. My spirits are lifted, and I enjoy my day, confident all is truly well.

And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.—Matthew 14:23

Let Go Let God in Faith

I am supported in every aspect of my life.

I am often mesmerized as I gaze at the twinkling stars shining so beautifully in the night sky. Taking in this glorious vision, I expand my faith in the organizing power of the universe that aligns the stars and planets in perfect order. There is a divine orchestration unfolding, a perfect pattern that includes my life, paving the way for my greatest blessings. Along my spiritual journey, I came to know God as “Good Orderly Direction.” When a challenge arises, I know my divine nature will guide me through. Drawing on faith, I look to the next horizon with positive expectancy. I step into the highest vision for my life, empowered and at peace, knowing that my good is unfolding.

Since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature, invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has made.—Romans 1:20

Let Go Let God Envision Prosperity

Prosperity flows to me and through me as absolute positive abundance.

At times I feel prosperous and other times I feel lack. How can I create a greater sense of abundance? To begin with, I can appreciate all the good in my life right now. There are people I care for and who care for me. I have food to eat and a place to sleep. I have the ability to make certain choices in life. Rather than compare myself to others, I focus my energy on what is working well for me. There will always be challenges, but I can see them either as problems or as opportunities to grow and know God more. In this awareness I find answers and direction. I am blessed as I envision prosperity flowing to me and through me as absolute positive abundance.

They feast on the abundance of your house, and you give them drink from the river of your delights.—Psalm 36:8

Let Go Let God Trust Divine Wisdom

I embody the wisdom of infinite mind.

In his poem “The Answer,” Lowell Fillmore describes reaching the limits of human understanding and pausing “to give my weary brain a rest.” He writes: “In that still moment, after self had tried and failed, there came a glorious vision of God’s power, and, lo, my prayer was answered in that hour.” I bless my intellect and give thanks for all the insights it has provided. At the same time, I accept the limits of intellectual understanding. The gifts of God, the apostle Paul tells us, must be spiritually discerned. In prayer I let God be God in me. I let go of intellectual understanding. I align my mind and heart with divine wisdom. I trust the infinite mind in me and allow it to guide my path.

Those who are unspiritual do not receive the gifts of God’s Spirit for … they are unable to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.—1 Corinthians 2:14

Let Go Let God be Renewed

I am renewed by the divine life energy shining forth from within.

My natural state of being is health and wholeness. Anytime I feel less than strong and well, I remind myself of the many restorative healing processes that occur within my body temple. Infinite intelligence guides the natural process of renewal as old cells are shed and new cells invigorate my body. I do my part to support the natural process of rejuvenation. I drink clean water, breathe fresh air, get plenty of rest, and spend a healthy amount of time in exercise and sunshine. I renew my mind and heart with reflective times in nature and prayer. I am restored by the light of infinite intelligence that shines brightly within, blessing me immensely.

You have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self … according to the image of its creator.—Colossians 3:9-10

Let Go Let God Fearlessly

I choose to live fearlessly.

It has been said that we are born with only two fears: the fear of loud noises and the fear of falling. I might have developed other fears—of insects, storms, or heights—but I can choose to be fearless. Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, “You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.” Facing fear means moving through it, not around it. I might have been afraid to ask for a raise, or state my opinion, or try something new. Yet when I faced my fear, it disappeared. I learned, and I grew. Living fearlessly is a courageous decision I make. I take comfort as I remember the prayer: “Wherever I am, God is.”

I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.—Psalm 34:4

Let Go Let God on this World Day of Prayer

I celebrate the vast possibilities for my life.

Breathing in to prayer, I am in awe of the unbound spirit, the infinite presence within and around me. God is vitality in my breath, beauty in the natural world, strength in my determination, and compassion in my acts of service. I recognize God in the spaciousness of the universe as well as in my limitless dreams. Let me set my sight beyond where I have seen before, into the vast reality of divine power and presence. Let me draw upon this power and presence in order to fulfill my great potential. In the harmony of prayer, my heart beats to the rhythm of God. The pulse of infinite life moves me, nourishes me, and empowers me to give life to my dreams.

And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.—1 John 5:14

Let Go Let God Remember

I honor and appreciate the light of God in all who have passed away.

As written in Ecclesiastes 3:1, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” Remembering anyone whose body has perished, I recognize the opportunity to express gratitude and to see each one as an expression of God. I know all who lived are blessed with eternal life, and peace fills my heart as I pray in silence. I accept change, for it is a divine process. In darkness, I know there is light ahead. In a season of grief, I remain open and receptive to opportunities to grow. As I honor those who have passed on, I am grateful for life that has no beginning and no end. God is life, and I anchor my faith in this Truth.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.—Revelation 21:4

Let Go Let God Dream

My dreams come true as I put them into action.

Today I take time to look at my life. Am I going in the direction I want? Am I fulfilling the dreams I have for myself? If not, what can I do to change my course? It is not enough for me simply to hope a dream will come true—I must take action. And the place to begin is always with God. I turn to my spiritual source in prayer and meditation. In the Silence, I give my desires to God and listen with an open heart and mind to the inspiration that comes to me. I remember that God’s guidance comes in all forms and often from unexpected places. These “signs and wonders” might confuse me, but I trust I am on my perfect path. I follow my guidance as I move in the direction of my dreams.

I will pour out my spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.—Joel 2:28

Let Go Let God Wait for Guidance

I wait peacefully for guidance.

Each time I ask for guidance, I am placing my trust in Spirit. By consciously taking this step, I open my mind and heart to receive. I clear away concerns clouding my receptivity and shift my focus toward divine love and light. I ignore discouraging words from others because I have gone directly to the source of wisdom. As I wait, I do not “fall asleep” by restricting the way in which guidance comes. It reaches me in many ways, perhaps through something I hear, see, read, or feel deep within. I maintain a faithful watch for I know answers are available and my way will be made clear. I already feel lighter—the first blessing of more to come. I give thanks in advance as I wait peacefully.

Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.—Matthew 24:42

Let Go Let God Be Ageless

I am a timeless, ageless expression of Spirit.

My vision for my life is ageless, as are my dreams. I spend quiet time in prayer opening my mind to fresh ideas. I give thanks for each new way to express creatively. I have the confidence to try new activities and boldly plan my future. As I reflect on my dreams, I know I have the infinite power of Spirit within to guide me. I step out in faith with a youthful exuberance and unflagging energy.

And everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?—John 11:26

Let Go Let God with Joy

I am joy in divine expression!

In his book Peace Is Every Step, Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh advises, “Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.” What a divine picture those words paint! Can you imagine how amazing life would be if you walked every day as though your feet were kissing the earth? Each moment would be filled with deep and joyous gratitude for the simple pleasure of being alive. Today I claim that level of conscious awareness. I embrace the Truth that I am a unique expression of the Divine, experiencing wonder and awe for the opportunity to be alive. I feel such deep gratitude that a wave of joy flows over everything in my path. I am joy expressing!

Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with loud songs of joy.—Psalm 47:1

Let Go Let God In God's Image

We are all children of God.

I may not think of myself as spirit, soul, and body, yet that is what I am. The spirit aspect of me is my divine essence, my true self. The mental and emotional parts are where I do the soul’s work of learning and growing to express more of my divine potential. Being made in God’s image, I carry the divine attributes of love, life, and light. Each time I act from my divine self, I express God in the world. An encouraging word, a hug for a friend, a warm smile for a stranger, or a helping hand are ways that God shows up as me. The same is true for us. I acknowledge God’s indwelling spirit in others, even when it is hard to see. I know we are all God’s children.

See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are.—1 John 3:1

Let Go Let God in Divine Order

I live, move, and have my being in perfect accord with divine order.

If my life seems disturbed, if there is disharmony in my home or relationships, it’s time to affirm divine order. Just taking a deep, cleansing breath and whispering the words divine order aloud can bring me to a state of relaxation. My whole body feels more at ease from this simple practice. I hear the voice of Spirit within. This divine mystery underlies all form, and it is eternal. The perfection of God is made manifest in me. Through this realization, I know that I am beloved, and I gain a fresh perspective. Once I truly trust the order in all things, I begin to set things right in my home and relationships, for my mind and heart are clear. My natural balance is restored right here and right now.

May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!—Psalm 29:11

Let Go Let God Discover

I discover for myself the freeing power of Truth.

There is a great power within me. I may not be aware of it consciously, but part of me knows there is more to my being than appears on the surface. As I focus my attention inward through meditation, I discover a wellspring of energy—every cell of my body is in tune with the flow of life. I am revitalized and restored with a recognition of my innate wholeness, for I am a reflection of God. Jesus discovered this power in himself and, throughout his earthly ministry, he taught that the same power dwells in each of us. This is a fundamental Truth. I am humbled as I recognize this inner radiance as the immanent light of God. I discover for myself the freeing power of Truth.

They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper.—Psalm 1:3

Let Go, Let God

I release all my worries and desires.

In my heart, I know my highest good is always unfolding and answers already await me. But in my human experience, sometimes I fall into worry. When I am concerned about anything in my life, I take a few moments of quiet to renew my sense of connection with God. As I affirm there is only God, it becomes easier to let go. At other times when I have dreams I wish to achieve, I turn again to Spirit within me. I give thanks knowing every need is fulfilled. I have complete faith the answers are available and will become clear to me in time. What a relief to know I can release anything that disturbs me. My needs and desires are fulfilled through my faith. I let go and let God.

Now, O my God, let your eyes be open and your ears attentive to prayer from this place.—2 Chronicles 6:40

Let Go Let God Rest

I rest in the awareness of God.

In the creation story, God rested on the seventh day. Rest is a spiritual practice in many religions, a weekly time of relaxation and prayer. Rest is important for my whole being—mind, body, and spirit. I can take time to rest each week, each day, and even in a moment if I turn within. Prayer is my rest from the busyness of the day. It is a time of reflection and experiencing my oneness with God. When I rest in this awareness, I feel an inner peace, a sense of something larger than myself, and a connection to all people. I tap in to a consciousness of love that transcends time or distance. My body is relaxed, my mind is stilled. I emerge feeling a new vitality and sense of peace.

On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.—Psalm 62:7

Let Go Let God Live Abundantly

I live joyously and abundantly!

Living abundantly means living in gratitude, without fear or limitation. It is living with an awareness of my divine nature as an expression of light, life, love, and peace. In a spirit of gratitude, I notice the blessings that flow into my life every day. I give thanks for each one, large or small, knowing I have all I need. With God as my source, I have unlimited resources that I can summon from within at any time. I see beyond any negative appearance to the truth of my being. I am whole, complete, and able. My relationships are harmonious. My life is in order. I have enough to use and to share. For these truths, I breathe a prayer of thanks. Abundance is all around me!

The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good.—Luke 6:45
