With a loving heart, I practice nonresistance.
I
may not always agree with another person’s opinion. During those times,
I focus on the idea of nonresistance—an acceptance of what is minus
labels or condemnation. Applying my spiritual gift of discernment, I
acknowledge my opinion is just one viewpoint. I pray not to change
a situation I don’t like or the perspective of another human being.
Rather, I pray to be aware of my thoughts, to remember the spiritual
truth of my being. I am one with the ever-present divine flow. External
events and situations have no effect on the calm peace of my soul. With
a loving heart, I accept what is. Through the practice of
nonresistance, I learn to receive gifts in every experience. I move
through life with patience, love, and nonresistance.
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go also the second mile.—Matthew 5:41
