Expressions of love and compassion pave the way toward peace.
A
classic hymn begins, “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin
with me; let there be peace on earth, the peace that was meant to be.” We
have the ability to be peace and to bring peace to the world by
expressing love, compassion, and understanding for all humanity. The
grace of God goes before us, releasing fear, greed, and envy. All
nations, all humanity, are part of a greater whole—cohabitants of our
planet. Divinely guided, our words, thoughts, and actions help create
and maintain world peace. We are expressions of the Divine, and as
such, we can allow love and compassion to pave the way toward peace.
Today let our prayer be, “Let there be peace of earth, and let it begin
with me.”
