I honor all people by holding them in prayer.
What
would happen if we put a new spin on the old adage keep your friends
close and your “not so friendly acquaintances” closer? Today let’s
choose to hold in prayer those we might not have considered keeping in
thought and mind. As we pray for and with others, we are reminded
that we are all part of God’s family. We feel a oneness to God’s
infinite love—a love that enfolds the world. Our prayers extend to those
in other circumstances, other communities, and other nations. Centering
ourselves in God’s loving presence, one prayer at a time, one person at
a time, we make a difference in the world. Praying is an honor and a
joy, and a step toward peace as we bless all those for whom we pray.
A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for one who understands.—Proverbs 14:6
