Spirit within is my refuge. I am divinely protected.
When
I was scared or hurt as a child, I went to a parent or caregiver for
comfort. As an adult, I am aware that Spirit within is my shelter from
any storm. I find unlimited protection by turning within for a
time of quiet prayer. As I reconnect with Spirit, I immediately feel
God’s protective presence. I am sheltered from all challenges in these
quiet moments of rest and peace. Here, I am restored in strength and
courage. Wherever I go and whatever I do, I carry this secret
place of refuge within me. At any given moment, I breathe into my heart
space and with each breath I feel safer. Spirit within is my refuge. I am divinely protected, and all is well.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.—Psalm 62:8
