I am comforted and at peace.
Sometimes
I feel anxiety, fear, or doubt because of my life circumstances. A
family member may be in the hospital. I may be struggling with finances
or relationships. If I let my imagination go wild, my worry only
increases. Instead, I remind myself that the comforting love of
God is only a thought away. Whenever I begin to think of the problem, I
shift my thoughts immediately and remember my faith in God. I say
the “Prayer for Protection”: The light of God surrounds me; the love of
God enfolds me; the power of God protects me; the presence of God
watches over me. Wherever I am, God is! I am comforted and at peace.
As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.—Isaiah 66:13
