I seek and find serenity in the presence of God within.
Before
inclement weather arrives, birds instinctively seek shelter by rising
to calmer air currents, leaving the area, or perching in a safe place.
Similarly, if I feel pressure around me beginning to build, I seek out
shelter. I do so by turning to the serenity of God-life within. In
meditation and prayer, my awareness of my oneness with Ultimate Being
is heightened and I am brought back to a place of peace. As the psalmist
mused, “Be still, and know that I am God.” I give thanks for the
serenity that fills my soul and overflows into my life. Living from this
place of serenity in my soul, I am renewed, ready to face whatever lies
ahead. I sought and found serenity in the presence of God within.
I lift up my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come?—Psalm 121:1
