I choose joy.
I
may feel sadness, impatience, or even anger because of my life’s
circumstances. But I recognize that these emotions are temporary, for my
spirit will always naturally seek to express joy. True joy is not about
outside circumstances. Rather, it is an inner awareness, developed
through consciousness. Inner joy is about my connection with God,
with the truth of my being, with nature, and with all life. Undeterred
by the opinions of others or even by difficult circumstances, the peace I
feel is the result of an inner decision to live my life in joy. Peace
fills me, and a sense of purpose directs me. Because of my decision to
choose joy in my life, I make a positive difference in the world.
Everlasting
joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and
sorrow and sighing shall flee away.—Isaiah 35:10
