I share a heart-and-soul connection with others.
T
hrough social media and cell phones, we can connect with family and
friends instantly. We inform and are informed as our feelings and
understanding go out to others with the click of a “send” button. Still,
communication doesn’t happen in a vacuum. It’s an activity between and
among people. At its best, it is understood and relatable—a window into
the lives of ourselves and others with new and unique vantages. Jesus
was the master of communication, and the words he spoke resonated with
others. His messages are as real for us today as they were for those who
listened to him. I take my example from Jesus and use communication to
share a heart-and-soul connection with others.
The
reason I speak to them in parables is that “seeing they do not
perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they
understand.”—Matthew 13:13
