I am a spiritual being, nourished in mind, body, and soul.
There
are many ways in which I am nourished. I nourish my body through the
right foods and exercise. I nourish my brain by learning, problem-
solving, and positive thinking. These actions help me function well in
the world and in my everyday life as a healthy, whole, and productive
person. But I am more than a mind and a body. I am a spiritual being, and it
is important to nourish that part of me through rest, relaxation, and
prayer. Prayer feeds my soul; it allows me to spend quiet time in
spiritual contemplation. Just as food and exercise nourish my body and
positive thinking nourishes my brain, prayer nourishes my soul, and I am
blessed.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure.—Psalm 16:9
