I respect all beings as unique expressions of God.
A
tree has branches in all shapes and sizes. Each branch, while
different, is an expression of the tree, just as all life is an
expression of God. All life is God, expressing and manifesting in the
physical world. I feel a deep sense of admiration and high regard
for the unique expressions of life all around me. I show respect to my
fellow human beings, animals, and the environment by treating them with
love—just as I desire to be treated. I, too, am a manifestation of the
Divine and understand the importance of treating myself with love and
care. I show respect for my life and all others, for we are all unique
expressions of God.
Yet
for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for
whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things
and through whom we exist.—1 Corinthians 8:6
