Today I take steps for all humankind.
Fifty
years ago today, two American astronauts became the first men to walk
on the moon. Neil Armstrong called it “one giant leap for mankind” as he
planted deep footprints into the moon dust. What are the footprints I am leaving as I pass through my human
existence? Could I possibly make any leaps for humankind? Are my efforts
at love, forgiveness, and compassion leaving a trail for others toward
greater awareness? As I celebrate this day in history, I choose to believe each step I
take is important. Each step can bring me closer to living from a
spiritual mindset, closer to a sense of my oneness with God. Today and
going forward, I will take steps to serve humankind.
Love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor.—Romans 12:10
