I patiently await greater understanding.
Sometimes
I hesitate to pray for patience because I will likely begin to notice
every annoying person or event that crops up in my life. I will find
plenty of opportunities to be patient! Yet I do want to practice drawing from the deep reserve of peace that
dwells in my soul. I know I have the capacity to let events unfold in
perfect order without pushing them along or correcting what I perceive
to be errors. I can let other people be fully who they are. By focusing
on my divine identity, I keep my temper in check and affirm the good in
any situation. Aligned with the peace of God, I patiently await my
greater understanding.
Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.—Psalm 119:34
