Spirit guides me in prayer.
Mary Kupferle wrote, “If you feel inadequate about
praying, be still and obedient and the Spirit within will guide you.” Affirmative prayer - connecting with the spirit of God within and
asserting positive outcomes - reflects my faith in that higher power. At
any time I can turn within, dwell in my heart for a few moments, and be
refreshed. Even in the midst of a busy office or a noisy marketplace, I
can be still and know that I am one with God. I let the chatter in my
mind surrender to stillness and silence. I know Spirit within guides me
into my heart where Christ’s presence waits for me with joy and
gladness. I give way to Spirit and I am well.
Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise.—Psalm 66:1-2
