I am a child of God, firmly anchored in my faith.
When
I make a commitment—to a relationship, educational pursuit, pet, and so
on—I may face new responsibilities and decisions. But any veil of
uncertainty is lifted when I turn within to the inner place of oneness.
It is there I connect with my inner strength and guidance of Spirit. I commit to my spiritual practice, to prayer, and to caring for
myself. The outcomes of all other promises, endeavors, and dreams are
influenced by this primary commitment. Daily I remind myself: I am a child of God, firmly anchored in my faith.
With the assurance of this divine inheritance, I know that at any time,
I can turn within as Jesus instructed in Mark 6:31, to “Come away to a
deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.”
We have this hope, a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.—Hebrews 6:19
