I am guided by my inner light.
Authors Richard and Mary-Alice Jafolla wrote, “With the realization of
God’s active presence in our lives, the specter of fear disappears into
the mists of the unreal—like a snowball dropped into a pail of hot
water.” I recognize the struggle of holding on to the “snowball of fear”
even though I know the truth of God’s presence is always with me. At times I may find letting go of my unbelief difficult. So I
increase my practice of prayer and meditation. I refocus my thoughts
away from fear and toward God within. I visualize the snowball
disappearing and instead see the warmth of divine light filling,
surrounding, and going before me. In the depth of my being, I know
nothing can separate me from divine love.
The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield.—Psalm 18:2
