I bless all caregivers in my thoughts and prayers.
Author and minister Ernest Wilson once wrote, “The greatest power in
the world, the power of God, is aptly described by the phrase ‘power to
give.’” Those people who have chosen to give of their time and attention
to benefit others have discovered the power to give. I appreciate the caregivers of the world, whether it was choice or
circumstances that led them to the role. Committing to live from a place
of caring and compassion for another being is a sacred act, and surely
just as they are being a blessing, they are blessed in return. God’s
presence moves in and through each caregiver as love, understanding, and
wisdom. I bless all caregivers in my thoughts and prayers.
But we were gentle among you, like a nurse tenderly caring for her own children.—1 Thessalonians 2:7
