In my Quiet Heart, I Find Peace.
When Paul wrote about “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,” I know he was indicating there is no specific location where I can find peace. Rather, peace is a state of heart-centered awareness that is always within me, just as my heart beats whether I think about it or not. I can retreat into this heart space whenever I become quiet, relax, and focus on my heart’s rhythm. Even as I sense my pulse, I become aware of this heavenly peace that is always mine simply by focusing my attention there. When I arise from centering myself in peace, I find myself more patient and kind with a softer expression on my face. I am set free to express my heart of peace.
May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.—Jude 1:2
