I Feel Alive As I Nourish All Parts Of Me.
Just as a plant will droop and wilt if neglected, I will lose my luster if I do not tend to my needs. When a plant takes in enough nourishment, soaking up sufficient sunlight and water, it perks up. Its leaves become bright and healthy, and it stands taller and stronger. When I care for myself and make sure I have what I need—good nutrition; sound, restful sleep; and time for spiritual practice—I feel vibrantly alive. In prayer and meditation, I bathe in spiritual sunlight, basking in the light of truth. As I resume my activities, I seek the company of the people who value and treasure me. Their love and acceptance enliven me. I am healthy, vibrant, and energized as I do what I love. I feel newly alive, fulfilling my purpose, and growing fully into my potential.
Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?—1 Corinthians 3:16
