I Find and Follow the Guiding Light of God.
When I approach a traffic light, I know green means go, red means stop, and yellow means caution. In my quiet time, as I meditate on a question I’ve taken into prayer, I may receive similar guidance—stop, go, or be vigilant and alert. Just as I heed traffic signs and signals in my outer world, I listen to the guidance that directs my inner world. I may have a feeling that signals the direction I am to go, or I may discover an unexpected yet undeniable set of circumstances that clearly direct me. My guidance is sometimes loud and bright, at other times muted and subtle; yet it’s always the light of God showing the way, step by step. I need not know the entire path—I simply trust and move forward with positive expectation.
Lead me in your truth, and teach me.—Psalm 25:5
